    Paneer Paratha
    Akshay S.

A decent enough place to have the Indian food, especially the Indian street food. The spring rolls are good. The sweet and spicy sauce served along with it is great. The paneer paratha was more like a naan stuffed with paneer bhurji but it won't disappoint you. Worth recommending is the masala chai here. It's probably one of the best in the entire greater Seattle region. The service is pretty quick despite the continuous footfall. Nothing to mention about Ambience. It's a quick eat and go place so can't expect any extravagance there. I am giving this place 3 stars because except the chai, nothing here is a must try. But be rest assured that it will cater to any of your Indian food cravings. Also, it is much less americanised as compared to many other Indian places in Greater Seattle.

Convenient spot to grab some Indian sweets, snacks and biriyani. Many people seem to order biryani and snacks to eat at their booth-style tables. Self-service spot. it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night ~5pm. Like all other Indian sweets, these are extremely sweet. They have a huge selection of over 20 Indian sweets. Most are ~$16 a pound. Which is roughly $2-4 a piece. It's fun being able to sample a variety of sweets. Only downside is that they don't seem to be very fresh. This time I went, I got their snacks: Samoas. It was in a hot case, so it had a nice and crispy exterior with a warm interior. The potato and pea filling was good, but definitely needed a bit more flavor.

Got the vijayawada chicken dry appetizer which was really good! Would recommend getting this.

We are regulars at Mayuri Bakery, and we have had some good experiences and some not so good experiences. We usually go to Mayuri when I want puffs, either Chicken puff or Egg puff. We have also had chaat's, dosa's, etc. The chaat's have been okay, I usually go for Dahi Sev Puri, Papdi Chaat, and Pav Bhaji. We like their Vijayawada Chicken.

Mayuri! Oh dear, Mayuri! Why? Why did you do this to your most loyal customer? I'm someone who argues with people when they say that the food here is average. I ordered my usual- paneer 65 and veg biryani today around 3.30 pm. What I was given was stale/old rice and the quantity for far less than what you usually give. The paneer 65 biryani was basically veg biryani with lackluster paneer thrown in. Not the usual big, juicy chunks. The rice was broken and not the long grain ones. Similarly the veg biryani had the rice that was identical to the paneer 65 one. Generally paneer 65 biryani has Indo-Chinese kinda flavor. This time it was just veg biryani with paneer. The yogurt was sour and something just didn't seem right with the taste. Similarly saalan had ginger pieces?!? Did you change your chef? Were you having an off day? Please bring back the original taste to your Biryanis.

We came here for quick evening indian snacks at this place. We ordered 4 samosas and also end up ordering steamed momos. The quality of Samosa was good and quality of Momos where average. Though have good seating space for a snacks corner - so we can sit with our kids there, which I liked. Also, one more thing which I really loved of this place - was the variation of snacks menu they have their, never saw this variety across 5 states I lived.

Don't be fooled by the name, it's not just a bakery, they have a full menu for entrees that you can use the tables to dine in or order to go. My client highly recommend this place, he stated that his dad is extremely picky since he is Indian and usually isn't pleased with restaurant's Indian food, but his dad requested to come back after trying it out because he was impressed. That's a good sign! He told me that he would have never found this place if he wasn't in the area to randomly stubble into here and to ignore the reviews because it's all from non-Indian people complaining about service and not the actual food. It's legit, all the clientele are Indian. I actually get my massage in the same parking lot and just rolled down the bottom of the hill to try out this place since I was also in the area. I've never tried goat before, but I was convince to try the goat biryani. For some weird reason, instead of a quick 15 minutes drive home, there was a 40 minute traffic because of all the construction and road closures, but good thing the food was so flavorful that it held up well. I was so hungry from selling the food the whole ride back, wow it's strong. The portion is huge, it's made for 2 people or something, I made 3 meals out of it all for only $15. I think they also own the Mayuri grocery store that's right next door also. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

    Chicken biryani with 0 flavor

Not worth 1 star even . Chicken biryani didn't have any flavor. Hardly any chicken pieces. Poor rice quality and food Overall all the food we ordered was tasteless..

    Vijayawada Chicken Biryani

Ordered chicken lollipop which was very hard and felt like a Chinese chicken fry attempt, other dishes were Chicken 65 biryani and Vijaywada chicken biryani both which were very hot even for average spice level. Taste was okay but spice was too hot!

Stopped by Mayuri Bakery on a whim. It's an order-at-the-counter type of establishment. While it is a bakery with cases of sweets, they also have a full menu of Indian food on the wall behind the counter. You seat yourself after ordering and you pick up your own food at the counter. They don't seem to wipe down tables between customers, so the place feels a bit dingy. We did the chicken thali, biryani, and chaat samosa. The thali was fine but not great, with the butter chicken being the most flavorful. My partner says the biryani was okay. We shared the chaat samosa, which I liked but my partner did not. We also sampled a variety of desserts, some I liked, some I did not, but that was more of a flavor preference (nothing was wrong with it). At a later date we ordered dosas to go - they didn't fill one of the dosas, so we basically paid for an empty folded piece of bread. It's not my favorite place but if I was hungry and it was nearby, I'd likely give it another shot.

A container of rice and small serving of Korma is all we got for 40.00 via Uber eats. Our other dish was not included.

We ordered Uber eats from this place last night . We paid for 40.00 worth of food and only received half of our order and what we got was ridiculously small portion wise. We filed a complaint but typically no one takes ownership when you get food delivered. Mayuri operates as Vegan Indian Village also, but often the dishes are vegetarian with milk. So be careful there. I'd say the overall reviews are negative of this place whether you dine in or order Uber eats. I'd recommend people stay away.

Didn't want to clean tables as we came in.

Good food! Their service is good for dine in, however the wait time is more for take out, particularly items on indo-chinese menu.

We ordered rava dosa and it was literally soaking in oil. Watch out if you are ordering that. The chutneys were also not tasty.

Much better than the Mayuri restaurant down the road. I am a huge fan of the Butter Chicken, Mango Lassi and Pana Cota.

If you haven't been yet, the entire bakery setup is amazing, but their cakes are the absolute crown jewel. Here is what makes this place stand out: Perfectly Balanced Cakes: As you can see from the beautiful mango cake ,their desserts are a work of art. The best part? They use high-quality ingredients and have significantly less sugar than typical American bakeries. It's light, airy, and not overwhelmingly sweet. Excellent Savory Selection: Beyond the sweets, their savory pastries and baked goods are top-tier and always fresh. Great Service & Cozy Atmosphere: The service here is exceptionally welcoming and efficient. While it's a popular spot, they do have a few seats inside if you want to sit down and enjoy your treat on the spot. Whether you're picking up a signature cake box for a birthday or just grabbing a morning pastry, this place completely delivers on quality. Highly recommended!

The bobrista told us that a shipment had just come in an hour or two before we arrived on Friday, so we were pretty excited to get the freshest baked goods possible! Dipped Black Sesame Kouign-Amann ($6.50) - Woah, super nutty sesame fragrance hits the nose and tongue upon biting into the hard sweet black sesame glaze on top (well, technically the bottom). It's a flavor bomb, likely boosted by the addition of sesame oil given how strong the flavor is. It's sweet but not exceedingly so, and instead of making the pastry soft, it somehow enhances the crunch factor. The kouign-amann base has good flakiness with laminated layers that can be separated out. The top has a sweet caramelized sugar glaze melted on, but it doesn't penetrate into the interior much, resulting in the inside not being particularly sweet. Instead, it's buttery in flavor, like they use croissant dough to make the pastry. (5/5) I was super impressed with the kouign-amann. I have to track down the Origin Bakery farmers market stand so I can try their famous crochi... But they haven't had an update on instagram for almost a year, so maybe they're only selling to Bobae and taking direct customer orders now?
