Will not come back. I walked in and signed my name and asked to see Moon. Per usual she had a few people waiting for her and I was ok with waiting. Lisa would start to soak off my gel polish ( that I had done else where) anyways before I knew it she started doing my manicure and when I asked why they said she had a-lot of people waiting for her. I was between two color and couldn't decide and she kept asking what color! She was in a bad mood to begin with and was being very pushy. She applied the polish to my cuticle and it will peel in no time. Just an over all bad experience. I will need to re-do my manicure else where. read more

I came in at 5:30 on Tuesday and the receptionist took my name and the person I was with as well their name down and I asked how long is the wait period she said 45 mins. So we waited it out until it gets about 7:00 and I know one things it's busy but another thing is to lie and just have us wait that long to make us wait even longer since we already waited the 45 min mark. I went today to get a manicure and the lady that was doing my nails cuts my skin and nail bad. I talked to the manager about what happened and said he would give me a free mani n pedi. Quick Tip: CASH ONLY! I've been coming here for over 10 years. I know pretty much everyone and seen new nail technicians come in as well. The prices you can't beat. Mani/pedi (no design) is $17 . I've gone to other places where the mani is $20 bucks alone. Too much... They also now have gel nails, and the UV trays to dry out your nail polish a lot faster. One of the things I love about this place is that the nail technicians are really good and they don't hassle you to buy designs or any extras. Not all nail techs know english but enough to ask you what you want and understand what you are saying. It's pretty cute. My favorite nail tech is Moon(she's off on Mondays). She's a veteran. I use to go to Lena but she moved to another state. Moon is very detailed and she takes her time. As for acrylic nails I'd recommend Tony. He's a bit serious at times but he's your guy. He leaves them amazing. Just make sure to be vocal on what exactly you want. Another great feature about this place is that you can get almost anything waxed. Eyebrows wax is $6. The owner of the nail salon is the person who does it. She's super super fast. The PLACE: The place is very simple. You have your chairs, stations, and a large screen tv. They don't carry high brand or even any known nail polish brands, which I don't mind because a color is a color. It's all about who painted your nails. It might look a bit outdated here and there but it's what keeps the costs low. I don't mind as long as they are clean and get the job done. A lot of people from outside of Maywood come to this place because of the Nail Techs. I've met people that come all the way from Nevada. I lived in Bell and recently moved to Santa Clarita and I still make the drive down there. INFO FOR NEWBIES: 1st. Cash only! 2nd. When you walk in you'll see a clip board on the counter. Make sure to sign in your name and check off what service you want and if you know with who ad the tech's name. (If you have no preference they'll assign the next available nail tech. Sometimes you might end up getting serviced sooner then the ones that are waiting for a specific person) 3rd. They'll prep your nails, taking off any left over nail polish, cut them, push your cuticle a bit. Right before they add your nail polish preference they'll ask you to pay. They'll tell you the amount and come back with your change. 4th. They'll finish off the job by polishing your nails. 5th. They will either give you a mini fan at the station you are at if it's not too busy or they'll take you over to the back corner where they have mobile vents for your hands and feet. 6th. So I decided to come in and get a full set. Big mistake. As soon as you walk in you can see the place is a big O mess. They're waiting area is small. They're color selection is not that great. Very limited. The place is dirty. Everything is dirty. The sink, they're working tools, the acetone bottles and tops. The lamps, the chairs, desks. EVERYTHING is gross. I almost walked up and left. But then I didn't know of another nail salon that would be open. So I stayed. The male that began to do my nails was gentle and didn't hurt me. But he still did a bad job. He left the nails uneven. Some where longer then others. He did try to fix the mistakes I kept pointing out. So for that thank you. But he still left me with a set of nails that I am not happy with. WORST MANICURE & CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I wait over an hour to get seated. They cut my thumb nail way too short that it starts bleeding. They "fix" it by simply putting a blob of acrylic on it that they left looking horrible & it fell off 3 days after! I leave with my gel manicure looking like my niece did it, but whatever I was over it. Within an hour the gel on half of my nails was smeared. How? The lady said it was dry & told me I could leave. I call & ask if they can redo them. The receptionist gives me the okay, so I head over. I get there & they tell me that the smearing was normal. Really?! I've had gel put on my nails for the past I don't know how many years & that has never happened to me. I ask if they can just redo them & the manager (Jenny) tells me no. She said my only option was to remove the gel & get $10 of the $23 I paid because that's how much it cost for the polishing. I take my only option, but before I could have my $10 I had to wait for an officer to arrive because the receptionist decided to call the cops. Wow! This was the second time I've ever been to this location, the first time I actually really liked the outcome of my nails; yet the receptionist claims that I always come, I'm never satisfied & I start problems. I went to get a pedicure and full set of nails today 8/26 first I tell Tony who did my nails i want them narrow not to squared well I guess he doesn't understand I had to tell him to file them more and he seemed mad at the end they still look too squared then they don't even have disposable sandals for customers.
