I got a manicure and pedicure, they couldn't get the color that I wanted, it was a hassle and they were visibly annoyed that I was uncertain about the colors they offered. I was not going to write a bad review because I believe in second chances, even though their prices are not competitive at all, the nicer salon across the street is probably cheaper. My reason of writing is because I got a nail FUNGUS from them!!! I'm so pissed that my nice nails have been ruined by an expensive, crappy treat. I went in and requested a design and the guy said no it's going to be "too expensive" which was only $65. I then requested another design and he said ok and proceeded to do basic French tips stating "doesn't this look better, see". The lines on my French tips are not straight, and there are bubbles in my nails. My friend also came with me and when she requested a design he stated " I could try" it wasn't even a complicated design he was just extremely lazy and ends up doing whatever he wants so I'd recommend going to a different nail shop if you want to leave with what YOU want and not what HE decides to do. read more

It was my first time here. I was nervous because I did not know what to expect. So here is my review: The place was a little dirty. It looked like they hadn't vacuumed in a long time. I got my nails done with Lindsey. She did a good job. She did hurt me a little but other than that everything was okay. I got a gel manicure. It looks good. Now I just need to wait and see how long they last. I usually get my nails done by my job and they last me about 3 weeks. Lets see how long these last. The cost on gel manicure is $20. But if you use your card, there is a $1 fee. I recommend you take cash. I have posted a picture of my nails for you all to see. I am not sure if I will return. 0 Stars! My mother went into this Salon to get her Nails done in December, she asked for Almond. As soon as I saw her nails, I was horrified! They were horrible! They were a bizarre shape. To top it off, she said the man that did her nails had no customer service and completed her acrylics in 30 mins. She went to get them filled at another shop and the Nail techs asked where she got them done in the first place and advised her to never go back. Went in today in the morning to do my nails, I was the first person to get acrylics done. I was helped by the guy and he was done within 10-15 mins. I was surprised because he was so fast. I literally spend 30 mins in the salon. He painted my nails, and they looked nice from far so I didn't pay too much attention. However, when I had already left I started to actually see them and they are REALLY SLOPPY!!! He didn't match the acrylic nail size to my actual nail and the paint job is so sloppy. But I mean you do pay for what you get for! UGH so upsetting. It was $15 but I mean we work for our money so this guy could've done a sloppy job. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Long overdue review! I've been coming to this nail salon since '07-'09 not so frequently though because I no longer live in the area. If you're looking for a cheap not-so-well-done Pedi/Mani this is definitely your place. This place is DIRTY ASFF!!! Now the owner whose name is Bu or Vu he is something else. This man has a preference when it comes to costumers. If you aren't his favorite, he will ignore you completely so be cautious. I can recall many altercations between the owner and clients because again he has a "preference" and he becomes rude and even loses his professionalism which is a BIG NO!!! For example, Bu / Vu (the owner) can have multiple clients waiting for their Manis/Pedis, but if one of his personal favorite costumers come in, he will immediately lie and say they had set-up an appointment ahead of time and will take care of them first instead of the clients who got there first. This unprofessional behavior has angered many clients because it's totally unfair and I've seen multiple of upset clients who eventually suck it up. The owner only does the easy work which consists of Manicures/Nails a.k.a (Acrylics) and his employees do the tough job Pedicures. The employees don't catch a break that often according to one of them, Vu/Bu (the owner) just chills and just places the clients to the next available employee which can be extremely exhausting. My personal favorite employee is Tiffany she is a sweetheart, so if you happen to ignore my review/advice and still go here make sure to ask for Tiffany (Vu/Bu will pressure into choosing another employee but stand your ground). I was recently in town & in need of a Pedi, so I thought I'd give this location the benefit of the doubt......and OH HELLL NO!!! My girl Tiff did an awesome job as before, but Vu/Bu on the other hand cut my cuticles all over. The acrylics were absolutely horrific. I've learned my lesson and will no longer come here. read more

I have been coming here for a long time ( about 10 years ). Pros- *for the most part , customer service is good. When it's not busy , they are very attentive . When it's busy , they are still nice , not as attentive , but I can't blame them. *a good selection of colors and gel nail colors and a decent amount of design. (I cannot speak on acrylic nails because I have never gotten those . I just go for a mani and pedi ) *prices are reasonable . A mani and pedi will cost you 20 bucks . $1 more if you pay with a debit card Cons- *sort of dirty. The carpet is filled with nail clippings . And when they are busy , I don't really see them clean/disinfect the tools ( at least not In front of us) *they use the same filers ( plastic disposable ones ) on everyone ! So , by now you may be asking yourself, why are you going here?! Well, it's a decent establishment for the price . I have been coming here for years and the employees are sort of like family. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! if i could give 0 stars i would!!!!! extremely rude, unprofessional, and so unsanitary! The only reason why I even stopped here was because I had no other option. I came in for a gel change and they forgot to add a finishing coat but I totally didn't notice until after I left. I came back to get the finishing coat and Boo the owner yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of all the customers for simply asking him to finish my nails!!!! The shop is completely gross, outdated, not clean, and the licenses posted on the wall are expired. I will be contacting the better business bureau because they are definitely not up to code! I have been coming here for over 10 years! When I used to live in Maywood. Now I live in East Whittier and still drive all the way over here. Trust me I have looked for places closer, but no one does my nails this good. The OTHER places I have been to were more expensive and less quality. Vu and all his staff are amazing.. they cater my needs and even my daughters. I don't understand why anyone would say these people are rude, in all my years of coming here I have never seen any of them be rude. But I have seen a lot of crazy customers! Lol. @ Around 7pm today my wife walked into this Nails place. From the moment she walked in none of the employees walked up to her or asked her if she was getting anything done today she sat to wait, there was 3 other females waiting in front of her. Its almost 830pm and the guy working here asks why are you here. She replied with "I'm getting my nails done" the guy says no your not we closed at 730pm. By this time my wife was the only one sitting by the waiting area while all the employees were busy with customers. This nail salon is clean, inexpensive and they always do a good job. Why I'm a leaving a one star review you might ask? The problem is costumer service. Came in on a Sunday on Mothers Day. They were understaff and I knew that the wait would take long. I had no issue with that because I knew what I was walking into. The big problem was this, I came in to get a basic manicure, this is a relatively cheap service, about 9 dollars. I had been waiting for about 40 minutes when another group of people came in asking for full service. They were helped before me. I understand that the nail place would make more money of this group then me, so therefore they were helped faster. Completely unprofessional and rude. Communication with the gentleman who manages the salon was also non existent. Been coming here for years and this will be the last time.
