This is a complete ripp off! They are not going to give you the exact date and times of delivery and pick up until 24h prior! They are going to make you miserable by many phone calls asking same questions about address and basic thing and at the end, you figure they don't even communicate the corre address!! Despite giving all the information about exact items to move and describing the whole setting for pick up and delivery and asking them to give the final number , they charged me 700$ extra for just taking them from elevator to the apartment call it long distance carry! The other two companies that I worked with at same building, didn't charge me for this. After trying to charge us double what they had quoted, they failed to retrieve everything from the house and tried to pin it on us for not making them do another walk through. I had to insist that they return to retrieve everything and they STILL left things in the attic! On the other end, not everything arrived, they lost our table, 2 chair mats, multiple boxes. They broke 2 shelf, 2 lamps, a bed frame and we ended up with boxes that were not even ours! We were instructed by their customer service to make a claim within 90 days. We submitted the claim well before that- within 45 days, and were told it was too late to make a claim!! They outsource their claim process so they would not respond. We reported to BBB 2 weeks ago and are still waiting for their reply. Unbelievably careless and unprofessional. They need to clean up their service or shutdown. read more

I 100% DO NOT recommend this moving company. Was quoted 2-7 days to move from Dallas to Chicago and finally received our things after 21 days with smashed boxes and broken items. Tried to reach out to the customer service number to get an update along the way and the woman was extremely rude and dismissive. We had absolutely no updates from them until right before delivery. Salesman was nice but unable to help me track the items which we found out were taken 3 hours in the opposite direction of the move and stored until the delivery 21 days later. My wife and I recently retired and decided to sell our 4 bedroom home in Ohio and relocate to Florida. We hired Mayzlin Relocation to assist us with our move. We received an excellent price and when the movers arrived to load our belongings we were impressed. The 2 men were very careful and handled our property with care. The excellent service ended there. When our shipment was delivered, the driver arrived in a uhaul truck and we were charged an additional $500. The driver showed up by himself and had nobody helping him unload. When I looked in the uhaul, it appeared that our property was not carefully loaded into the Uhaul. Several items were significantly damaged. One of the items was a custom made dining room table made by amish craftsmen. It could not be replaced. Our refrigerator had a huge dent on the side and several smaller dents on the doors. I filed a claim and the settlement was a joke. We received $300.00 which did not even cover the repair on the table. If you care about your belongings, do not hire Mayzlin for your move. All went well, with the making of the reservation. I should have been concerned as to the "hard-sell" approach, but authorized the initial reservation deposit. I was assured that the deposit would be refunded in full. I informed Mayzlin that I was cancelling the reservation and asked for a full refund of the depoist. While I await the refund, I received a call from the sales representative who attempted to tell me that I was making a bad financial decision as the price for the move was so attractive, I reiterated to him, that I was cancelling the move reservation because I decided NOT to move and also that I was ENTITLED to cancel with no penalty. The penalty clause is: Customer may cancel services up to 10 Business days prior to the scheduled move via written notification to info@mayzlinrelocation.com. Customer must verify that the cancellation notice has been received for a complete refund of prepaid deposits. If services are cancelled less than 7 business days prior to the scheduled move the customer shall refund partial from the prepaid deposit. Despite this the representative made the misleading statement that there may be a penalty charged for cancellation. A continuation of the Hard-sell. We contracted Mayzlin for a long-distance move from Ohio to North Carolina in June of 2022. We chose Mayzlin as they were NC based and felt they had a competitive price. We also knew we would need to store our household goods for 4-6 months while the home we purchased was being remodeled and we chose Mayzlin for storage as well. This is our 5th long-distance move so we were quite familiar with the process and had reasonable expectations regarding scheduling, breakage, damage, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was a very bad decision. We suffered more damage to our household goods with this move than with all 4 of the other moves combined. Many small items - frames, vases, wall decor - were poorly packed and destroyed in the move due to carelessness. Worst of all was the treatment of our furniture. There was a tall, long-legged antique writing desk, clearly a fragile piece, that had one of the legs completely snapped off. There was an attempt by the moving crew to glue/tape the leg back on where a dowelled joint had been broken. Additionally, our heirloom antique dining table and buffet suffered damage. The table had been disassembled for transit but the legs were not sufficiently packed and were broken in transit. Again, the crew suggested this, too, could be glued. I did not allow them to attempt any repair on the piece. The table top itself was covered by a moving blanket but had been damaged where something had been stacked on top of it. It was also transported in a manner such that the blanket had been worn through during the trip and the edge was damaged. On top of it all, the hardware with which to assemble the table had been lost. The buffet suffered similar damage to the top and sides. We did not trust Mayzlin or any of their representatives to provide repair service for these pieces and it cost over $1300 to have them properly fixed. I have opened a claim with CSI, their third-party claim manager. We have little hope of any significant recovery. Based on our previous moves, we had suffered minimal damage so we only opted for the basic coverage for damage at $0.60/lb. However, according to the CSI website, claims will not be paid if the items are repaired. Additionally, for broken items, you must show a picture of the box in which the items were packed along with photos of the damaged items. Neither of these was practical as we actually use our dining table and needed it to be repaired ASAP. Further, we could not simply stop unpacking and save all the boxes in which the items were packed as we would not have room to keep them! Many of the boxes themselves were not damaged and it was simply the carelessness with which they were packed that caused the damage. The claims process itself is difficult and feels that it is designed to deter any claim. For example, any item for which you are making a claim (based on weight) must include an internet reference to the estimated weight. For real? There was overall a general carelessness about the delivery as well, with the crew seeming only to be in a hurry to unload and get back on the road. Many boxes lacked any marking as to their contents or from which room in our previous home they had come so that significantly slowed unloading. Overall, I would not recommend Mayzlin Relocation as a professional mover for your household goods. read more

We have moved several times across the country and our lates move using Mayzlin was the worst experience. The sales person that my husband first spoke with was very good at his job and made promises that just were not kept. Our price went up $5,000 when we did the video conference walk through a week before the move (we did add a few items but where promised that even if we did it would not affect the rate much). They took two trips to our house on separate days to pack the items and then had them stored at their warehouse for several days before reloading them on to a new truck and driving them to us. That would have been okay but that was not how they explained things would happen at all and by far the worst part was trying to get updates and any information from the main office. They ignored our calls and text messages time and again and straight up refused to call us back for days after texting that they would when they had our stuff. It was beyond ridiculous and started to make us very nervous about ever getting our items. Their customer service from a corporate standpoint is worse than non-existent after they have your items in. So much stress would have been eliminated just by calling us back and answering some simple questions. The drivers were the best part about Mayzlin and were the only ones who did a fair job communicating. We got our items and had several things broken - many glass items, frames/glasses/lamps and shades. They use a third party for any claims but it's arduous and confusing and requires lots of information that is hard to glean from the moving paperwork and I hold out little hope of getting any money back. read more

We made a terrible and very expensive mistake of hiring Mayzlin relocation when we moved from North Carolina to New York last May. They presented an affordable quotation of $2k+ for the whole move that blew up to $7k+, almost $8k. There were additional services that we required like packing which cost $1k, so okay, moving is understandably expensive. But I also want to point out that every additional task like carrying a couch through the stairs coz it won't fit the elevator will be an additional charge. But what's so disappointing about the service that we got was, after being charged that amount ($7k+ or let's say almost $8,000), we had several damaged items. Our curved Samsung TV's screen (which is not sold anymore) and other furniture were damaged. And take note, what's broken in the TV was the screen so it was unusable anymore and we had to buy a new one which cost $500+. And yes, we did follow the procedure of filing a claim through their provider, CSI, and after 4 long months of waiting for a result, we were only offered $30.96 for the TV that was damaged. Like what???? So no, I extremely DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY. Another disappointing thing was after we were charged a ton for the move and packaging materials, they used one box that I use for my business. DO NOT HIRE! I hired Mayzlin Relocation to move my daughter's small 1BR apartment household goods & clothing only (no furniture). The company claimed they were experts at moves from DC to Florida with a hub in Ft. Lauderdale. I specifically wanted a fixed price contract and was OK with being charged a lot more than other bids ($3000) for them to help her pack up and certainty of cost regardless of what items were brought. I told the company I didn't yet have the exact number of the condo in Florida and was told that was no problem, this would not result in extra fees. I paid the $750 deposit on 5/1/24 and the $2250 balance due by wire on 6/6/24 per the contract Mayzlin was paid in full before arriving on 6/8/24. It took 90 minutes to box up the clothes and household items. By phone Mayzlin said our boxes were being put on a truck on 6/13/24 or 6/14/24 to arrive in Miami 6/21-6/23/24. Instead, the driver texted early on Sunday 6/16/24 with just 24 hour notice to deliver the boxes Monday 6/17/24 8 am to 12 pm. Mayzlin knows condo management offices are not open on Sundays, this being Father's Day also, so we asked to push the delivery back to Tuesday 8 am to 12 pm and the driver texted back OK. Monday AM 6/17/24 Mayzlin (Nadine) calls my daughter and says they need another $500 in cash because we changed the delivery date to Tuesday. We said that was never disclosed nor agreed, we wouldn't pay and to just deliver the boxes as scheduled. Then Nadine changed her story and she said we had to pay $500 more because the driver had looked at the building and the loading dock wasn't big enough to bring in and turn around a 70 foot semi-truck. Exactly what condo in downtown Miami has that? We hired them specifically because they said they were experts at downtown moves DC to Florida. She demanded $500 more in cash for a shuttle truck and an extra $75 b/c the driver said he'd have to walk too far. While the contract said we had to provide access it is wholly unreasonable to think we knew that meant pulling up in a 70 foot semi-truck in a crowded downtown area/condo building! Any extra shuttle charge they knew in advance & it should have been on the original quote and not later extorted from us after they had our goods. Prior to booking they also knew we didn't have the unit number so any long carry fee should have been waived. Nadine refused to waive either charge and again demanded $575 in cash for us to get our boxes delivered. When I asked to speak with the owner of the company the reply was "the owner won't call you". When asked to talk to her boss she said there wasn't one. There was nothing I could do except transfer $575 to my daughter so she could go to the bank and get cash to get her stuff. DISGUSTING. We hired Mayzlin Relocation to move my in-laws from Nevada to California to be closer to us. Dealing with them on the phone went well. Once you contact them, you are required to fill out an inventory list in order to get a reasonably accurate estimate. I didn't want to do this because I'm lazy and I wasn't in Nevada, so they helped fill it out for me by going through all the photos for the house listing online! That was helpful. As such though, the real move cost more than the estimate since stuff was missed, but that's all my fault. The price would have been the same if I provided a better estimate! Come moving day, they came right in the time slot they provided me the day before. We hired them to do a full pack. Four friendly guys came by, packed up the house and loaded it into the truck in just over 4 hours! It was impressive to see these guys work. They were fast, but also careful. The next day, the items were dropped off at the new location in California, right in the time slot they provided me the night before. Overall, we were impressed. If you're reading this, beware of this company. My review is a lot to read, but I promise it's worth it. You'll save money and time. Here's my detailed experience: On 10/18/2022, I inquired about a quote for a move from Brentwood, MD to Los Angeles, CA with Mayzlin Relocation. This call (with Sales Rep Chris Gibson) included conversations about inquiry of cost for services, pick-up/drop off policy, request for advising on delivery window given the specifics of my move, and inquiry of additional costs that may be incurred during this transaction. On 10/28/2022, I circled back and confirmed booking MAYZLIN, with a pick up date of 11/14-11/15 and delivery date of 11/28. On November 7, I completed a quality assurance FaceTime call and text correspondence (with Christina Blosser) showing my storage unit and all items in it. I was given a cost for packing supplies that would be included in my overall price. On November 8, I was was requested to confirm truck dimensions for delivery to determine need for additional shuttle. I submitted verbal and text confirmation that the dimensions were acceptable from the apartment building. On November 15, I was contacted an hour before by a driver saying they would be at location for pick up. This was outside of the 24 hour notice I was told I would receive. I was also charged extra for packing materials already accounted for, and fees for moving items from location to truck outside of the allotted 75 feet, which was never previously explained nor was it accurate (I have videos and measuring to prove this). On November 25, I called to check on the status of the delivery and was told that per the policy, the company has 5-21 business days from delivery date to delivery items (yes, you read that correctly). I was confused about this but upon further investigation, requested to change my date to 11/25 to begin the process. I was also told then that I could have expedited the move for additional $1-2k, but I had missed the window to do so. This was done so by an Ayesha (no last name) who told me I could not contact anyone above her as she was the manager, and the only way to escalate my concerns would be via email which would also come to her. On November 28, I arrived at the delivery location in Los Angeles. I then begin a series of calls, every 2-3 days, to check on the status of my delivery. I was told for the first two weeks that my belongings were not able to be included on a shipment out yet. I again inquired about the 5-21 business day window, at which time I was informed this included weekends but not holidays. On December 8, I was told items were scheduled to be on a truck in transit by December 10. On December 12, I was told items were in route and given a 7 day window for delivery. On December 15, I was told items were expected to arrive between December 21-22. On December 19, I was told my delivery date changed to December 23-24. I then communicated that I did not know if anyone would be at the desk to operate the loading dock on Christmas Eve, and that would be something I'd need to check. On December 20, I circled back with Customer Service to inform them that I needed 72 hours to inform my concierge about a loading dock reservation, and I still had no confirmation about 12/24, Christmas Eve. On this call I was also told I would need a shuttle for $500 as the driver has determined, without seeing the location on site, that the truck would not fit despite confirmation from the apartment building that the dimensions of the truck were acceptable. As of this afternoon I have been told items will arrive on December 26, after Christmas. Desired resolution: safe transport and delivery of my items, without damage, preferably before the new year. It's been the overall lack of compassion, communication and concern from customer service that's really blown me away. UPDATE As the owner chose to respond to my comments, I would like to respond as well. Tiffany, who called me, said that they would not deliver unless I paid the additional $350. I essentially had no choice, as if I did not, they would not deliver it. This was not due to the distance from the residents door, it was the driver not being able to traverse through the roads, even though I could see that the truck could clear the electricity lines. There was really no other way I could dispute, as I only could get Tiffany on the line, and Scott was unreachable. It has been over three months and any attempts at reaching CSI or them reaching me have not been successful. I understand the owner attempting to defend his position, but there are some things that are indefensible. Previous Review I chose Mayzlin at first because they were thought to be local to my area for a long distance move. They had also promised a tighter timeline than other competitors. However, after I signed all the paperwork, it seemed that it was not the case. I was immediately redirected to someone who was in Florida, and scheduling a time for the movers to come was extremely difficult. The timeline they had promised was also inaccurate, and in reality was much longer. I had originally paid for a full service move, but apparently that did not include boxes, which ok is fine. The movers that came packed away things, but had requested if they could not wear masks while doing so, even though the company had promised a strict mask-on policy. They had also said that they were tested for COVID, but with how lax they were on wearing masks, this was not reassuring. Once they got to the destination, I got a surprise call saying that because I was living in an urban area, they could not deliver to my location, and that I would need to pay an additional $350 dollars to have them deliver to my area. This was not stated to me upfront, and either I paid them this or they would not deliver my items. Neither of the movers wore masks as well, and when moving the items into my apartment, caused damage to the walls. They had also missed an item, which took another few weeks for me to get back, and have completely lost items for which I am fighting with a claims company after three months to get back. I regret ever hiring this company to move my items from NC to CA. Movers showed up in an Enterprise rental truck to pick up my belongings on Dec. 10th, after I was told they had their own fleet. Movers then charged additional $650 to repack my items. Cushions from sofa etc, were counted as separate items. All in all, I was charged double cubic feet. I was told that my items would be delivered by Dec. 14. There has been a major lack of communication. I've had to call numerous times for updates. Today I'm told that items are STILL in NC and they are having trouble finding a truck. ??? A trucking company is having trouble finding a truck? They subcontract the move to other carriers, hence using an enterprise rental truck for pickup. THIS is what they never tell you and NOT what I signed up for! So many excuses. I've contacted my attorney at this time. Calls to Scott, Tiffany go unanswered and unreturned. Christina in customer services shifts blame on drivers as she "doesn't drive the truck." Like the other reviewer, I'm uncertain about receiving any of my items at this time. Extremely unprofessional company, over promise and under deliver. Hidden charges all around and delivery of items seemingly uncertain as time progresses. I question the many 5 star reviews this company has. It seems rather suspicious that this company's rating are either 1 star or 5 stars on the reviews. Edit: To Semen, your company agrees to anything you think customers want to here, bait and switch. Contract was never shared until day of move. I asked for it several times. It wasn't until I mentioned attorney that my items were delivered to Elk Grove, many fragile boxes turned upside down. Their contract says will make efforts to deliver my furniture in 4 to 7 days. After 10 days i finally reached someone who said they actually have 30 days per DOT rules. My research showed that was only in case of " mechanical problems or bad weather". But they obviously consistently use this ruse until they have a full truck, with other loads going to your area. They of course never mention this during the friendly Sales call. Lead me to believe 6 days max. I was without furniture for 14 days. For a 1300 mile move. Upon arriving, the driver crashed my mailbox. The drivers apologized very after the fact and fixed it. phone calls were NEVER returned. Staff is impossible to get a hold of. The driver only loaded one of two bedrooms. when brought to his attention, he became combative and argumentative instead of quickly apologizing for the mistake. Once picked up, we were told our move will arrive in 7 days. Not the case. It is now 10 days!!! She is living on an air mattress with no furniture!!!! I am very frustrated about my first experience with Mayzlin. I was notified 3 days after my stuff was picked up that there is a delay and my stuff is estimated to arrive 14 days after the pick-up. This is extremely frustrating since I arranged this relocation with a deposit over a month in advance and was told by sales rep Chris Gibson that the trip from Massachusetts to Florida typically takes 3-5 business days. Despite the terms and conditions mentioning 3-14 days for delivery, I would have appreciated transparency ahead of time that the truck is "delayed" to wait for another customer's pick-up date to consolidate orders. THIS IS POOR PLANNING ON THE COMPANY'S PART AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATED BEFORE my pick-up. While the company is saving money doing this, I am losing money while I pay for a hotel each night and don't have access to my medications on the truck. While in distress about not having my medications, Nadine from customer service was NOT helpful - I have requested a supervisor's info to discuss this concern to make things right, but they still have not provided me this info. I was also overcharged on space used in the truck as I was advised to "over-estimate" my belongings beforehand so that the final price would be reduced upon the final measurement if less space was used. The movers did not demonstrate a measurement at the end, despite minimizing my belongings to save money. PLEASE do yourself a favor and spend a few hundred dollars more and go with a different company - I was persuaded by sales rep Chris Gibson to choose this company for a smooth experience - now I heavily regret this decision. This is the worst customer experience I've had in my 40 years of life. Not just with a moving company (and I've moved to 9 countries) but ever. EVER. The sales person will tell you whatever they think you need to hear to get the deal and then "customer service" will ignore your calls and hang up on you when desperately try to locate your belongings. In my case, they held my entire family's earthly possessions hostage for a month (they collected it a month before we moved so its actually 2 months) before it felt financially worth their while to ship to us- despite written proof from the sales person (Nichols DeMarco) that it would be delivered for our move in date a month prior and for $1250 less than it eventually cost us. I had to daily use a new stranger's phone number to actually get my calls answered as mine were continuously sent to voicemail by 'customer service' and Nicholas Demarco every singe day for a month past delivery date. Disgusting. Expensive. Frustrating. Pure fraud. I felt so sorry for the final delivery team as they were instructed to demand cash at short notice ( I had to cancel my birthday party) to accept delivery 12 hours from delivery after a month of waiting) Hellish company. Fake google reviews, terrible service, never receive your belongings. DRIVE A U-HAUL YOURSELF. We were promised (on a recorded phone line) that delivery to our new address would be completed 5-7 business days after pickup. In the fine print on the bill it then stated that they actually have 30 days after the first available delivery date to arrive, however, this is implied to be due to "weather conditions" and "mechanical issues with transportation." After pickup, we checked in with the company representative (Mike F.), who stated that it was likely to be within the discussed range. This was important because one of us had to drive from PA to CO to receive our goods. Upon calling after our first available delivery date, as we had not been updated as promised, we were informed that our belongings had not yet been loaded onto a larger truck for the cross-country delivery. We have now been told that the first date things may be loaded is May 20th. My partner is currently at our new apartment (with nothing), but has to return to our current home for work duties and can't stay longer. We now need to arrange for someone to receive our belongings. Additionally, in the signing process, the agent gave us an estimate of how many cubic feet our load would be. In discussing, we were told that with all our furniture we could have an additional 40 medium boxes. On the quality assurance call, the customer service agent seemed surprised by our number of boxes but did not tell us that our expected load would exceed what we had paid and did not update our estimate. Upon pickup, the movers said we were 100 cubic feet above their company's estimate, and charged us another $1000+. At that point our items were wrapped and put on the truck, so we felt pressured to agree. Mayzlin customer service and sales agents have now been screening calls and not responding to our voicemails. We are put on hold for long periods and never picked up, but when calling from unlisted or new numbers, immediately reach an agent. Agents have been disrespectful and contradicting other Mayzlin employees. They seem to say whatever they think is enough to justify getting you off the phone. To add insult to injury, they were also late in providing pickup day information and were then hours late the day of. My experience with Mazylin absolutely HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It was the most stressful move I've ever experienced (I've moved 3 times in the last 3 years). They will charge you at least a thousand more than your quote, it'll take 3 times as long as they say it will, and their customer service is obstinate and actively hostile. I really think that this is a scam company and should be out of business. I've broken everything down in categories below because the move was THAT bad. Timeline: They said it would take 3-7 to deliver my items. It took 3 weeks. They moved my stuff to a warehouse and didn't load it on a truck for 2 and a half weeks. They refused to give me any updates during this time and didn't tell me that my delivery scheduled until less than 24 hours beforehand. Items damaged: They completely shattered my full-length mirror which they packed, they chipped 2 tables, several items of my furniture were missing screws or other parts that I had to fix myself, and a whole set of glasses that were triple bubble wrapped were shattered because the box that they were in (clearly marked "fragile" and "this side up") looked like it had been through a car wash. Additional charges: They charged me $300 upfront for 2 wardrobe boxes, one of which was never delivered and they wouldn't give me the money back. They also shoved all my clothes in one wardrobe box instead of hanging them (as is the point of a wardrobe box). They made me pay for the delivery before my furniture was delivered, essentially holding my furniture and boxes hostage on the truck. They also charged me $400 on the day of delivery because I had 10 extra stairs, even though the quote was the correct number of flights (how was I supposed to know the exact number of stairs for an apartment that I hadn't moved to yet?). Then at the very end of my move they showed me my shattered mirror and threw it in the dumpster. Customer service: This was the most unprofessional, unpleasant customer service experience I've ever had. Nadine was the rudest woman I've ever spoken with and REFUSED to give me any information about my move for weeks. She shouted at me until I was at the point of tears and then wouldn't pick up any of my calls from that point on. The sales rep will tell you that they'll be with you every step of the way and give you updates every day and that couldn't be further from the truth. David, my representative, ghosted me after I paid him and when I finally got hold of him and asked him about my delivery date he told me that I was being "hysterical" and "needed to calm down." This was after my belongings hadn't been delivered for 2 weeks and I hadn't received a single update in that time. I told him I would leave a review and he immediately started groveling and said I would be compensated for the extra time for the move and damaged items and said I would get a call from his supervisor that day. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. Misogyny: I would call customer service for weeks and ask for an update on the move and they would either not pick up or tell me that they didn't have one. Out of desperation, I asked my boyfriend to call. His stuff was not being moved, he didn't pay for the move, and his name was not listed on any of the documents. They immediately picked up (I had called them literally a minute before) and gave him a detailed update with a timeframe for delivery. He asked customer service to call me back with an update and instead they called HIM back. Customer service literally would not speak to me and only spoke to a man (who again, was not even listed on the move). I've never experience such a blatant act of disrespect and sexism, especially from a company that I paid THOUSANDS of dollars to. Movers: My pick-up movers did a terrible job wrapping my furniture (probably why everything was scuffed and missing pieces) and spent an hour in the middle of the move taking a smoke break. They also pretended to not speak English when I asked them where the wardrobe boxed I ordered were (they didn't bring them) and then like 15 minutes later they interrupted my personal conversation with my boyfriend in English. So they do speak English they were just trying to avoid questions about the move. Like WTF??? The movers also said they were going to immediately take my furniture from Chicago to NYC and instead they took it to a warehouse in Indiana and it stayed there for almost 3 weeks. Mazylin also claims that they have their own trucks which they don't, they rent from other companies. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I made an enormous mistake choosing them for my move. I initially chose Mazylin because they had a cheap quote. It took 3 times as long as they said and because of extra fees and repairing/replacing broken furniture it's almost twice as much. read more

DO NOT USE this company!! My move was a nightmare from beginning to end. The packers were not skilled and unpackers were hostile. They neglected to move all of my belongings into the moving truck, they left boxes in closets and small items around the house. We cleaned up bags of garbage they left all over my floors. They left cigarette boxes, soda bottles, reams of packing paper, dozens of empty tape rolls, gloves, a tool box, they left full tape rolls, it was bizarre. They mainly used huge wardrobe boxes for the entire move. Full drawers were dumped in the tall boxes on top of other items. Three heavy sewing machines were packed on top of each and other items breaking artwork and making it nearly impossible to unpack. My daughter crawled in to the wardrobe boxes to retrieve small but heavy items. After my belongings finally made it to my new home, 10 days later than the originally quoted date, the nightmare grew. The two men who showed up to unpack were not professional, kind, or competent. They were rude when talked to from the start and wouldn't reply even to my first greeting of "good morning", they took frequent and long cigarette breaks and genuinely seemed annoyed by moving furniture. Their attitude and disposition was inappropriate by all measure. Long before they were finished putting together furniture and moving large items, they said they were finished and they had to leave, they acted liked their departure was urgent. We told them we would appreciate them putting beds together and moving other large furniture and they acted inconvenienced by the request, behaved as if it was not their job and then they became aggressive. It was obvious they were not happy with their employer and they did not want to be at my house working. My daughter had to make two trips to ace hardware to purchase basic hardware they did not have on hand after they broke some of my items. Some items never even made it to my new home and I have no idea where they are today. | had over $4,000 in damages. I could go on and on. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! PAID OVER $1000 MORE THAN ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRESPONSIVE, POOR QUALITY 1) PICKUP - ADDITIONAL FEES I hired Mayzlin for a cross country move from the East coast to the West coast. While on the phone with one of their representatives Nicholas, he stated that this move was no problem for them and that they did it frequently. He prided himself on saying they were not like other "broker" moving companies that would say they are charging you for something and then charging you more in the end sneakily. Little did I know they would do exactly the same thing. Nicholas told us that they would charge us X amount for the move and that my belongings would arrive by X date because I need to start working then. He arranged for my items to be picked up a month before X date so that they would have ample time to be delivered. Everything seemed fine until they came to pick up the boxes. When they came, they told me they would have to charge me $75 extra for using the elevator. In addition, it would be $75 for every 75 feet they had to walk. It ended up costing me $300 extra than the original price but I did not have any other choice. 2) DELIVERY After the pickup, I did not hear anything from them for a while. The day before I was supposed to receive my items in California, I gave the company a call to ask for an estimated delivery time. They informed me that the items WERE STILL ON THE EAST COAST ONE DAY BEFORE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED. I was bewildered. Nicholas had told me they would be here by X date and that was the entire reason they picked my stuff up a month early. I had been living out of a suitcase for the past month. The woman on the phone was extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic. She told me that X date was actually the earliest delivery date and that they could deliver the items anywhere from 5-21 business days after that date. In other words, I could be waiting an entire another month to get my stuff. 3) LACK OF COMMUNICATION After I heard this, I tried calling Nicholas the original booker multiple times and left a string of messages. He did not return a single phone call. I realized at this time that I had been scammed. He knew that we would not have received our items by the original date but lied to us and charged us anyway. Despicable. To this day I have not heard back from "Nicholas". 4) DELIVERY DAY - MORE EXTRA FEES Finally, the delivery day arrives. The driver calls me in the morning to state that since I live in Los Angeles, he will not be able to bring his 18 wheeler onto my street. He states he will need to CHARGE ME $500 EXTRA so that he can rent a UHaul and reload my items onto the Uhaul. This is absolutely ridiculous but again what choice do I have? I have to pay. Finally, the man shows up in the UHaul and again I have to pay $225 extra for him to bring my stuff up, charging me $75 for each 75 feet. So now I have paid almost $1000 extra just for today. Moreover, this delivery man is ALONE. He is the only deliverer, which means that unloading all of my stuff took a total of 5 HOURS. He said no one else wanted to work that night. He also brought up a box that was not mine and I had to tell him that so he could bring it back to the truck. I can't even imagine what a hassle it would have been if I had not noticed that box wasn't mine. He ended up leaving my apartment close to 9 pm, meaning I was unable to eat dinner, clean the apartment, or even shower until late that night. Absolutely. unacceptable. 5) DAMAGED BOXES I will attach photos of my boxes, but every single one of them was torn or broken. This shows how little care they put into transporting our items. This plus the fact I was given a wrong box just makes me wonder how often these things happen. Again, absolutely unacceptable. 6) FINAL PRICE In the end, I spent over 1000 MORE than the original cost. When I call their customer service line, all they say is "These are in the contract". This company was the worst moving experience we've ever had in eight years of four moves. Their customer service/company representatives were rude, unresponsive, and in one particular case outrightly hostile. Any answers to questions were constantly contradicting and we were shuffled from one customer service representative to another. Items were left off of our ticket from the start of the process onwards which compiled into almost $2,000 extra charges we weren't originally quoted. We attempted to correct their mistakes in our item count both over the phone and via email. It required multiple inquiries during the entire process on our end to ensure that problems created by this company were fixed. We are having to put in claims for three broken pieces of furniture and anticipate that we won't receive compensation in any form given their prior actions. They describe themselves as military-friendly, but could not provide any movers with on-base access after agreeing to. Finally, at drop off, we had several items damaged, half of the furniture unassembled, and a large pile of trash left outside of our garage by the movers. I have moved many times. Both local and long distance. Here is my honest review. The sales experience was excellent. My actual price came in less than the original quote. I was given and all-in price. I wasn't charged by the hour, or per box. and the price was very competitive. The packing me up experience was also excellent. The crew (Sardor, Fred, and Azamat) showed up early and were incredibly organized and efficient. They did a great job packing me and making sure my stuff was well protected for the trip. They also did a great job getting everything tagged. They were also very polite and cleaned up after themselves. My only complaint with them is that I had requested a description be made on the log next to each box number as to what the item was or box contents were. They did a horrible job of this. Fortunately nothing ended up being missing so it didn't matter. My delivery was also excellent. Jay called me the day before and gave me a time window which he actually also beat and was early. His helper did not show so he unloaded me all by himself. I kept offering to help but he turned me down. He was AMAZING. He was the one who loaded my stuff onto the semi and he evidently did a great job because there was no damage and nothing missing! He was also very professional and polite. So why not a 5? Customer service. It was terrible. I was given an estimate of 5-7 business days. I heard nothing from customer service and when I called 5 days later, I was told my stuff was still in the warehouse and she had no information about when I could expect it. Said they'd call. Said the 5-7 days was just an estimate but they contractually had 30 business days. A few days later when I still hadn't heard anything and called back, I was told "I told you we would call you. Do not call again". (Still no info). Finally got a call a few days later telling me my stuff would be loaded the next day, but could not tell me if there would be other stops before me, or when I could expect my goods. The tracker was helpful, but then it went down for 2 days. Called customer service. No answer. Left VM. No one returned my call. Sent email inquiring when they thought tracker might be restored. No response. So the beginning and end were great - but the anxiety in the middle was awful. If someone had just told me it would take about 2 weeks I could've planned around that. read more

Oh my God. I cannot believe the absolute disrespect and lack of professionalism I had experienced with this company. I am a first responder therapist. I have been inundated providing care over the holidays. I love what I do but I have been slightly overwhelmed with the packing and finding the right movers for my move. Kristen the service coordinator first seemed great with wanting to help me. Then it went downhill. The constant calls and follow ups while I'm at work helping clients with their mental health and care. She Saud she had to release the dates for me since I couldn't respond by 9am. I texted her and said ok I understand but I had a break at 10am. Then she texts and calls immediately saying my dates are still available. I told her I'm going home for my break and she wanted me to call as soon as I get in. I finally call her and inform her I wasn't ready to do the contract due to the amount it costed as I tried to get the monies together. What she didn't know that I was going to say was I was going to push the dates back to give me time to have my monies come through and work with her company. She didn't know that because she went off on me. She called me broke and crazy and I needed mental health services. Because I had her give me her personal cell number and wasted her time. I am glad I didn't work this company. Anyone can post reviews meaning they can be hired to. I read the horrible ones who also said customer services disrespected them and they were over charged 4 to 10xs what they were quoted. We had a worse experience with them. Not trustworthy and not reliable. They promise customers with guaranteed delivery date and even take money for it, but just to get business. After all this when ones try to contact them, nobody answers the phone or even bothers to call back. They only say we can not do anything about it. Be cautious. There reviews are not trustworthy anywhere. Hire a company who is more professional and helpful. Christina is worse to talk too, she just denied completely about the delivery date saying we never told you that, until we sent her the document mentioning the extra charges and guaranteed delivery date. To get our business she was completely opposite. So people beware. Don't waste money here. Don't hire them. I don't want to give them even one star. Update : reply to SEMEN! When we requested the bigger truck they told us that the full truck will directly go to your home on guaranteed date of delivery. They are now saying we change the contract. Which we did not! I have asked them as they claim that they are on recorded lines, to take out the records and prove that we changed our contract and remove the the guaranteed delay date. This company is full of lies and manipulations. They do not answer your calls unless and until you call from a different phone. And once they pick up they just say we cannot do anything about it. Easily the worst experience I have ever had with a mover. Do not use this company. 1) would not give a specific date for packing and loading or delivery. Kept saying the DOT does nor allow that, funny part is the DOT website recommends that you get a specific update. 2) they as for a deposit which apparently is illegal in most states. 3) I did not get a call about when movers would arrive until I called twice 2 days before the day I was expecting to move. 4) when the movers did arrive the driver spoke almost no English (I believe Russian speaking) and was very difficult to communicate with. 5) when they packed dress clothes they just threw them in the bottom of a box, no hanging clothes not ever a bar in the box to hang them. 6) packing a TV they didn't pack the power cord with that tv just stuck it in a unlabeled box, same with power cords for recliner and adjustable bed. 7) Didn't label any boxes AT ALL, driver had no clue what boxes went in what room. 8) deliver was 5 days later than their last day of the 1-7 day "range" they gave me. 9) several damaged articles ie., I had 3 floor standing lamps all 3 broken beyond repair. 10) not once was I contacted by any member of this company to check and see how the move went, not a call, text or email. If you are moving long distance, I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO CHOOSE THIS COMPANY, especially if you have to have your belongings transferred. Our experience started fine--the group that came to the house packed everything into the transfer truck with care, perhaps because we were watching. But what we didn't see is what happened at their facility in Maryland, where our belongings were stored until which time they were reloaded onto a different truck for the cross-country move. The repacking was a disaster and resulted in pretty much every large piece of furniture and appliance (e.g., washer/dryer) being damaged. Our hand-made dining room table, about which were were very explicit, had all four legs snapped off. After being wooed by the sales associate who wanted our $18K business, the customer service person we dealt with once we signed, who also was a relative of the owner, was unempathetic and unhelpful, especially after we complained about the treatment of our property. Their per-pound insurance is a joke. Luckily, we had purchased our own insurance in addition to their ridiculous coverage. But neither what we purchased ourselves or the puny coverage they offered did not account for the heartache, the inconvenience, or the feeling we were not being treated with respect as a customer. Well I got my settlement for the company Mayzlin uses for claims. They ruined my 46 inch Sony Bravada TV and I got $25.26 for it. Yes, it's .60 cents on the dollar but my TV is NOT worth only $42.10!! That is how the whole settlement went. Basically their settlement company is a scam just like them. I made a request to have my things delivered out of storage in June. I gave them the date i was aiming for in August and got the impression that it would be no problem to hit that date. I would highly recommend staying away from this company. Save yourself the headache and stress and pay a little more for an Allied or Mayflower affiliated company. We sent an inquiry to consumer reports looking for interstate moving companies and began fielding calls. Jason from Mayzlin reached out to me and laid on the "little guys taking on big business" schtick pretty hard. He then went on to explain how great their service was and how they're a full service company and not a "broker". We had a few back and forth conversations about their services and timelines and everything lined up with what we were looking for. Our story: We moved from the UK to Seattle. However, we had a stop off in Arizona where we had our belongings sent while we spent time with family. Thinking it would be pretty easy and painless to have another company pick everything up, already boxed, from a storage unit and ship it to Washington. Boy were we wrong! We figured we would have the team arrive on Wednesday, give them a bit of a head start and we would leave on Saturday. The day of the move arrives and it's 2 guys. No big deal, it's already packed, so even though it's from a 5 bedroom house, they can handle it. The lead guy takes one look at the unit and says "that's more than we quoted the estimate for". Even though I was standing there with a shipping manifest with the cubic feet listed on it when it came over from England. They tell me they're going to pack as much as the quote and then I can tell them to continue. Unsurprisingly, the amount comes barely over the original manifest, likely due to differences in packing. After they picked up the items from the storage unit, we had them swing by our rental to provide them some suitcases and things that wouldn't fit in the car for our roadtrip. Once I sign off, this will be the last unprompted communication I have with a representative of Mayzlin for over 2 weeks. Thursday passes, no news. Friday passes, I call and ask when the shipment is leaving, the customer service agent says they'll have dispatch call me. No news. Finally Saturday, the day we were getting ready to leave, I get a call that it's been assigned a truck and is leaving now. We arrive late Sunday to a completely empty house in Seattle. Luckily I had left airtag's in our suitcases from the trip from England so I could occasionally get status updates on the move. Sunday night we rent a last minute AirBnB so we have somewhere to sleep. We wake up Monday and the last pinged location was outside Los Angeles. Tuesday, Sacramento, Wednesday, still in N Cal, Thursday, Portland. Meanwhile, I was trying to call them daily as we're needing to constantly extend our AirBnB stay and racking up hundreds of dollars in extra costs. Every time I call, it goes to a voicemail. I leave a message, no one calls me back. Finally on Thursday I got a hold of someone after calling literally 30 times. She said there's nothing she can provide but will have dispatch call me(I'm sensing a pattern). Finally I get a call from our driver that he is arriving in Seattle on Friday and should be at the house around 2. It's now Friday, and the driver arrives at the house. Just him, no one else. For around 3 hours, one man is in charge of unloading the truck and bringing boxes and part of furniture into the house. Finally after a few hours, 1 young man shows up and begins helping unload. At this point there is no rhyme or reason to their unloading. Things labeled for kitchen are going in the master bedroom, desks wrapped in bubble wrap that say master bedroom are left in the dining room. Eventually they just started bringing every item and just putting it in the corner room upstairs. By the time they were done we had a 6x5x3 stack of boxes in one room and no reasonable way to get through them. When all was said and done, we have our belongings. However, we also have literally no way to use our house. All furniture was left in parts and every box scattered randomly amongst the house. Do not expect any assistance in rebuilding furniture that was dismantled. The very first words out of the drivers mouth(I think after hello) was that he's not able to rebuild furniture. At the end of the day, I just wish we went will Allied again. While the costs of international shipping can be eye watering, both local moving companies had infinitely more care over our belongings than Mayzlin with 1000x better communication. read more

Was also told by the driver when they were finally about to deliver that they had an 18-wheeler that we needed to accommodate (we were told it would be a 28-foot truck - again, over the phone). Our property is big but also has a lot of oak trees and a garden right in the middle of the front yard. There was no way an 18-wheeler could make the turn! So, it was either my mom be charged another $350 for shuttle service (which, come on. A U-haul is $20 + mileage, so $350 is totally unreasonable) or she rents a truck herself. She went for the latter because it was obviously the cheaper option. Oh, their contract also basically says they can keep your stuff hostage if you don't agree to pay any magical charges they come up with once the contract is signed. So, yeah. These guys are snakes. Don't believe the good reviews on BBB or Homesite. I'm almost wondering if they paid for them because there are companies who do that. I moved from Ohio to Florida and after doing what I thought was good research, I reached out to 3 different companies for quotes and details about their service. I settled on Mayzlin Relocators only after Andrew from Sales advised that it was a family owned business, no contractors were ever used and even sent links of articles on the other 2 moving companies to show me how dishonest they were. I found out the hard way that Andrew in Sales at Mayzlin Relocators is the truly dishonest person. In my opinion this company is extremely dishonest. Quote was originally 8K and they advised since it would cost much more to replace my bedroom suites, dining room and living room so for 8K I should just move all my furniture. I continued to remove items from moving list by selling full room of workout equipment and some furniture. Then, only 4 days before the move that "had" to occur (which they were aware of due to sold house), a rep "Ana" from Quality Control calls and advises they miscalculated and then doubles the price. I had no choice at this point which they also knew. So I went from 8K to more than 20K I had to pay at delivery or I wouldn't get my belongings. I then found out, per the moving guys themselves, that they put a call out on Marketplace for moving guys with my address. They did this again when they delivered the load. So no contractors, just people off the street in my house and seeing all my valuables. Honestly, only 2 guys showed up for the delivery, one with no moving experience at all, another small guy which very little experience and the driver of the semi. They took forever to unload and then they didn't want to put anything like the dining room table back together. When all was said and done, they tore up walls and floors in the brand new house, couldn't move some larger items at all so me and two of my friends did it ourselves the next day, they busted my sleep number adjustable frame, $3K massage chair, dresser, file cabinet and much much more. I didn't even turn in 1/4 of the damage because I knew they weren't going to own up to any of it, which they did not. Somehow they think offering me a few hundred $'s would make things right. And know that their claim submission process is misleading as well. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy and wish I too could give them negative stars. read more

You were told you'd have an airmatress to take just in case your stuff doesn't make it to your new home on time? Never heard of it, peasant! But that's ok, you definitely set aside money for a hotel for the in between time waiting for your belongings and you definitely have money to spare after buying a home plus the $4k increase. So the day comes when your expecting your delivery, no call no show? No problem! Just give a call into the debt collection office, oh sorry I mean the customer service office where they will be happy to tell you about the 30 day window contract you signed that says in so many ways that they don't have to give a crap about everything you own, and they don't! I like it best when I call for an update and I'm told "it will be a few more days it was delayed" fun!! Be sure to ask when the supervisor you requested last week will be returning your call, they especially enjoying telling you they don't know their schedules. 1-3 days turns into 7 BUSINESS days before you can request a whopping $30 discount!
