    Enchiladas!!
    Jonathan B.

Super friendly staff and really terrific food. Mazatlan is worth a drive to dine at. To start with they place salsa and a plate of refried beans down in front of you and both are wonderful. The enchiladas are large and tasty and the green salsa delicious. The quesadillas salad perfectly flavored. This is a sure bet if you have a hankering for Mexican food!

Wow! what an incredible experience! We stumbled upon Mazatlán, and it absolutely blew us away. The food was so insanely delicious that we barely stopped to take pictures, we just dove right in! Every dish was delicious, authentic flavour, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. A huge shoutout to Enrique, who made the experience even better. He was incredibly warm, attentive, and gave us some spot-on recommendations that we wouldn't have picked ourselves. If you're like me and believe that a great restaurant is all about great food and great people, Mazatlán delivers on both. This place is a gem, and I'll absolutely be back. Don't sleep on it!

    Seafood Molcajete

Had high hopes for Mazatlan. Came here specifically to try their Seafood Molcajete. Hadn't had it in a few months since I left the desert known as Las Vegas. It seems kind of strange that a place in the middle of a desert would be compared to a restaurant within 50 miles of the ocean, but stranger things have been the case. In my Las Vegas experience a boiling Molcajete was brought to the table with a robust collection of several different kinds of shrimp, mussels, crab legs, giant prawns and octopus. Now being in the desert everything had to be trucked or flown in. Now cut back to Mazatlan with its Molchajete wrapped in foil, not boiling and I kept thinking the seafood reminded me of canned seafood. The Pulpo had tasted like from a can and what was that with the foil and minimal sauce supposed to achieve? Easy cleaning? I will never return to Mazatlan in Massachusetts as there are zero excuses for what we were served so close to the ocean, btw, the Mazatlan cost was higher than in the desert as well. One last point, we had fried calamari as an appetizer and each ring was perfectly coated and identical, I would also bet that came out of a package although I can't say for sure. The experience was not worth visiting again and really guys, you are near the ocean, present better seafood to your customers.

So this is a new Mexican restaurant they've been open almost a year now so I thought I would stop by and give them a try the food was very good the service was great however the prices are on the high side you can walk out of there by yourself easily spending over $50 but the pricing is consistent with the restaurants in that area so I would definitely recommend but just be prepared for the sticker shop

First time here! Huge portions! Lots of flavor! Loved the warm beans served with chips. Many huge TV's with soccer playing. Tried many pollo dishes and would recommend.

Great service. We stopped here after going to a different place that appeared to have better reviews but was closed. Was a blessing, my daughter loved her chicken fajitas and the chicken chimichanga with white sauce was very good. The salsa was a little different but we came up from Florida so used to a thicker one but all was still good. Really can't say enough about the quick service and very friendly and welcoming. Thank you very much!!

Homemade chips, salsa, and refried bean dip with cheese and tomatoes

My mom and I stopped in for a quick bite as we made the drive back to Boston from Hartford. We'd been hoping to see the annual Lessons and Carols performance that my College hosts in December, but uncertain weather conditions necessitated we head back early. This restaurant was most definitely a bright spot during our trip back! The staff was incredibly friendly as well as knowledgeable about all menu items. They're still a new restaurant (open for about a month now), but you could tell how much care went into their service, decor, menu design, and food. Before we even ordered our mains, our server brought out homemade chips, salsa, and a refried bean dip topped with cheese and tomatoes. Everything was delicious and an indication for our mains that followed. My mom ordered the Carne Asada based on a recommendation from our server, and I ordered the fish tacos. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the fresh ingredients and careful preparation shone as the stars of the show. The service was great, too, and our server and the server he was training made sure to check in periodically but not in an overbearing way. It's clear this restaurant values it's food, people, and atmosphere, and if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

We went on a Thursday night around 7 pm and the parking lot was pretty full. There's ample seating on the first floor but we sat on the second floor. There's also a small outside patio. We actually had to order through the bartender. But food came out fast. I got the grilled haddock with green beans, although they mistakenly made it with broccoli instead. I'm not picky so i didn't mind. The haddock was well made but it barely had any flavor so they need to season it more. It also smelled fishy so I'm not sure how fresh it was? Overall average food even considering it's pub food. But it was a nice place to sit down, relax and converse with ur coworkers or friends.

Rib eye shepherds pie was a twist on a classic that I would go back for over and over. Went with a trained chef whom gave his thumbs up too. They did it justice. I cannot wait to go back. Best Irish red ever tasted smooth and refreshing can't wait to get a Growler from the Westborough location. The ambiance is great whether you want the bar and restaurant downstairs or upstairs with the patio. The prices are fair and great portions. Definitely stop in you won't regret it.

Over the years, the quality went downhill, and ownership announced in late June '23 that they would be closing temporarily and reopen with a "new and improved" Hola. I was excited to check it out tonight Unfortunately, it was hard to find anything improved about the new Hola. The chips and salsa remain very good, and we had plenty of time to enjoy them as our food took a *long* time to come out, despite being just a few customers on a Monday night. Two of the three of us ordered Baja Fish tacos ($17) but they messed up the order and brought Shrimp Gober tacos instead, so we had to wait even longer for them to make the actual food we ordered. Some of the fish tacos were served with very unappealing, old browned avocado, while others had pathetic tiny slivers of fresher avocado. The De Asado tacos ($16) were sparsely filled with super dry meat, accompanied by dry, crispy rice. Not sure if these were just sitting drying out in the kitchen while they remade the fish tacos, or if this is typical. The "avocado sauce" listed on the menu was non-existent, and the main flavor came from using the leftover salsa from our chips to moisten the tacos. Nobody ever came to our table to refill waters or ask if we were enjoying our meal - I really miss the old staff, who were warm and inviting, and seemed genuinely eager to please. If this is the new "improved" Hola, I will mourn the demise of the old Southborough gem that Hola was, and cautiously seek out other Mexican restaurants in the area.

We took our two younger ones there for a quiet Easter Sunday dinner together. So many interesting things on the menu, we way over ordered. But everything was delicious. We had the pork belly confit, the cheese bread, the octopus, and the parm wings to start. They were all polished off quickly. Our pork belly did seem to have missed a sauce, but we just dipped them with the cheesy bread sauce and was very happy. My son ordered a few different skews and thoroughly enjoyed his Picanha, sausage and cheese and chicken heart. My youngest said the chicken hearts were the best she had ever tried. High praise from a kid loving chicken heart since just a tiny tod. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye over mushroom risotto. We order medium rare and both of ours came perfectly done. Both our kids thoroughly enjoyed trying our steak and risotto. My daughter and I both enjoyed mixing my son's Yucca mash with the risotto. She practically scrapped my plate clean.
