    Chicken Tawook Plate

Really do I need to update my 5 star review to a 5 start review. Yes! The quality remains top score. Dolmas are great. The lemon salmon off the charts. I think they recently changed the menus so if you have not been here in a while you must. Staff is always friendly and polite. Totally my local favorite because it's walking distance - or plenty of parking and great food. It's a cafe style so don't expect waited services. Sit where available. Place has always been spotless. So wha ya waiting for.

Customer service was lacking. Kibeh or kibee was the best. Meat seemed bland and so did the chicken. We love kebabs and can recommend so many good places but this unfortunately isn't one we will come back too. The soup had great reviews but I think they over did it on turmeric this time. I'll post a picture so you can see the color, compared to the other lentil soup pictures on here. The place definitely needs a little sprucing up.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday, after reading positive yelp reviews! You might miss this place if you weren't looking for it because of the busy shopping center it's located in. Tons of parking, lots of seating inside, friendly staff, and super quick service. I tried the Fattoush salad, it was ready in under two minutes. The salad dressing was delicious - full of fresh herbs, it was also a good portion and fair price. The staff behind the counter helping take my order was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back if I find myself in the area, I recommend giving them a try for yourself!

Mazaya is one of those places you order when you want comfort food. It is one of my all time favorite restaurants in the area by far. The beef shawarma plate is incredibly delicious and can easily be split for 2 people, their portions are massive. Today I ordered the lentil soup too because it is a rainy day, and it is also a hefty portion, also delicious. In case you haven't noticed by my multiple reviews of this place, I love mazayas!! Lol

Came here for a quick dinner, we ordered beef and chicken shawarma plate. Their portion is pretty big and can be easily shared by 2 people. However, the meat was on the dry side and I wish they gave more of the white sauce or at least have it on the side. Service was good, we got our food within 10 mins of ordering. I'm interested in trying kafta next time.

What a delicious meal! All the food tasted so fresh! The chicken was so flavorful and the rice was fluffy and hot! The salad was very tasty! The crunch and tartness from the salad really complimented the chicken shawarma. I loved the mouthwatering food here! Prices were about $13 per plate and totally worth it. It was big enough to make two meals! Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean but nothing fancy and there's plenty of parking out f I would highly recommend eating here!

Chicken Tawook Plate with fattoush salad & Filet Mignon plate with Greek salad

Finally, an amazing Mediterranean (Lebanese inspired) joint in the Whittier-vicinity! We ordered the Chicken Tawook and Filet Mignon plate with a side of falafels. First thing to impress me was how fresh and homemade the food tasted! Both the chicken and filet Mignon were perfectly cooked (juicy and flavorful) and the portions were plentiful. No doubt the falafels are a passed down recipe from the mother country! I was told everything is made from scratch in this family-owned business and I don't doubt it. The joint was tidy and clean- nothing too impressive when it comes to ambiance. The menu was straight forward and very reasonably priced. They were able to accommodate customizations to the entrees, like ordering individual falafels instead of the plate. I'm definitely returning soon!

We order take out from here. Very friendly service. Always clean. Spicy potatoes are good. We enjoy the dinner plates.

The chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly, the rice was packed with flavor, and the fries? Hot, crispy, and golden--just how I like them. I also added a side of garlic sauce, and I'm so glad I did. It was creamy, bold, and perfect for dipping fries (and honestly, everything else). You can tell they put real care into every part of the meal. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, even just during a quick pickup. The restaurant was spotless, and I noticed how clean and inviting the dining area looked. Bonus: parking was super easy with plenty of spots right in front. I can't wait to come back with my family.

I arrived about 20 minutes after placing the order but still had to wait another 20 minutes, making the total wait time about 40 minutes. The beef shawarma was disappointing--it wasn't thinly sliced as expected but more like chopped or minced beef, and the flavor just wasn't up to par. I also ordered three kibbeh balls but only received two; the third was oddly replaced with chicken nugget pieces. The chicken tawook wrap was poorly prepared, lacked flavor, and was very underwhelming. Overall, the food didn't taste good, and with the long wait and odd substitutions without considerations. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This place was busy for a Monday night with lots of to-go orders and a few families in the small dining room. The food was delicious and service was friendly. HOWEVER, this most recent order did leave us questioning couple things. Chicken Shawarma was dry this time and seems to have shrunk in quantity AND the pieces were VERY chopped up so didn't really get a good bite. Not much sauce/flavoring either. Compared to our first time ordering this... super disappointed. Not sure if we will order this again because of quality/quantity control. The Works... the size of the grape leaves seemed to have shrunk in half?? Not anything close to what we got the last time ordering this combo platter. Taste was great but it went from "busting out the seems fully wrapped" to "single bite size". Also, they missed the yogurt that comes along with each platter. Last time they missed some add-on sauces we paid extra for also. We even called to ask they double check the sauces because we didn't receive the correct items last time. First 2 orders were perfection and then these past 2 orders had some issues. Overall, I would give 3.5 Stars at this point.

I rarely write negative reviews because I know how much hard work goes into running a restaurant…read more However, after today's experience, I feel obligated to warn others. I have been a loyal Panini Kebab customer since the very first location opened in Irvine many years ago. I wasn't just an occasional customer--I ate there two or three times a week and introduced countless family members, friends, and coworkers to the restaurant. I have spent thousands of dollars there over the years because I genuinely believed in the quality of the food and service. Sadly, the Cerritos location completely destroyed that loyalty. When I walked in for lunch, I stood there for five to seven minutes and was completely ignored. Not one employee acknowledged my presence. No greeting. No "We'll be right with you." No one asked if I was dining in, ordering takeout, or picking up an order. I was treated as if I didn't exist. Only after several minutes did someone finally tell me I could sit wherever I wanted. I ordered the lamb and beef kebab and made my request crystal clear--not once, not twice, but three times. I specifically asked for my meat to be cooked medium rare. Then I waited. Nearly 30 minutes passed before I politely asked the manager about my order. Instead of apologizing or checking on it, I was met with an attitude that I found disrespectful and unprofessional. I was essentially told that I hadn't been waiting very long, even though I had already been sitting there for almost half an hour. After another 10-minute wait, my food finally arrived. What they served me was completely unacceptable. The meat was burnt, dry, tough, and as chewy as rubber. It was the exact opposite of medium rare. After making my request three separate times, I received an overcooked meal that was nearly impossible to enjoy. It also had an unusual smell and taste that made me question its freshness. This was not a minor mistake. This was a complete failure in customer service, communication, and food quality. The Panini Kebab I used to love is gone. Whether it's poor management, declining standards, or a lack of concern for customers, something has clearly changed--and not for the better. After years of loyalty and recommending this restaurant to countless people, I can honestly say this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. They have permanently lost my business. I will never return to this location, and I certainly cannot recommend it to my family, friends, or anyone looking for a quality meal. A loyal customer of many years has finally had enough. As if the poor service and overcooked food weren't enough, the experience kept getting worse. There wasn't even any salt or pepper on the table. I had to ask for basic seasonings that should already be available for customers. I also asked for a glass of hot water, but instead they brought me ice-cold water. At that point, it became obvious that nobody was paying attention to what customers were actually requesting. It's the little details that separate a great restaurant from a poorly managed one, and unfortunately this location failed at every level--service, attention to detail, communication, and food quality. After being one of your most loyal customers for many years, I can honestly say this was my last visit. You have permanently lost my business, along with the business of my family, friends, and the many people I have recommended to Panini Kebab over the years. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this location to anyone.
