The Apple Fritter was fried a bit too long for my taste. FYI there are two sizes; Regular and Big for the Apple fritter. Would have been nice to get a lighter cooked one since there were two full trays, either way, the apple pieces and inside dough were good. The dough of the yeasted donut was airy and the glaze was not ridiculously sweet. Well balanced. The person who had the review on here about their bad experience and how the cashier was rude etc should come back and give it another go. Could have been a bad hire, who knows. The staff and owners were really nice. All smiles when they answered my questions. It's disappointing that literally the last 3/4 times we've gone, it's been BEFORE 8am even and they are already sold out of nearly everything. Quick and friendly service this morning. The donut I had so far was good! Although $15 for a half a dozen seems pretty steep to me. All basic donuts, maybe a bit extra was charged for the maple bar instead of the donut? I guess I should've said yes when asked for my receipt. I'm just in town for a short time to visit my family, but I'm really glad that we got to try Mazzoa Donuts! Just wanted to note: I'm not super picky about my donuts, and maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm -not- a huge Krispy Kreme fan either. Anyway, Mazzoa Donuts has a very wide selection, and they still had a lot to offer around the time we arrived (5pm)! So far, I'm a big fan of their blueberry glazed donuts (the cake one has blueberries inside the dough, it kind of reminded me of a blueberry muffin but in cake donut form). The person who grabbed our donuts and the person who rang our order up were both very nice. The shop is clean and they have protections set in place for their employees during the pandemic. I really like how simple and straightforward the flavors are too. If you're craving a donut, or more, this place is pretty good and I thought the pricing for a half dozen wasn't too bad at all. My wife and I moved our family here not too long ago. One of the things lacking in a city with an abundance of choices is the lack of simple, quality donuts. While you can buy nearly anything within 10 minutes driving, it's amazing that there wasn't a donut shop to satisfy your sugar fix. That is until Mazzoa Donuts opened. What's amazing about this place is that it gives you the old school, mom and pop donut shop feel. It's not the type of place that will entice you with a glazed donut sprinkled with rainbow glitter and stuffed with unicorn marmalade, but rather it's the place that will make you nostalgic and satisfied knowing they still make donuts the old fashioned way. The donuts look and taste just like what a donut is supposed to. While it lacks the old asian owner feel because there aren't scruffy people hanging around reading the newspaper and drinking coffee, this place checks the boxes for making quality donuts. While the prices seem to be on the higher end, it is definitely worth grabbing a dozen donuts or so back to your wife and kids. read more

I love these donuts and it is best to go in the morning before they run out. We love the cronuts and I'm a sucker for a simple long John. We lived in north Las Vegas and frequented their sister location Dee's. I was so happy to know they had a location in the south when we moved. The name is fun to say and indoor decor cool, simple and clean. Line sometimes is out the door but I have always felt they were fast, even now with everyone low staffed. I have learned to practice patience in this pandemic. Line starts toward the back and sometimes ends toward the door (and sometimes out the door), you will get an employee who takes the next customer in line and you choose as many donuts as you like. I like fresh donuts, so I never get more than 1/2 dozen for my family of 4. We get an assortment between Cronuts (glazed croissant donuts), glaze twists, long John's, old fashioned, maple bars and sugar donut or twists. These donuts are always amazing to me. I have been to be many donut places in town and have always preferred Mazzoa or Dee's donuts. Their always soft, satisfying, simple, and done well. Put some yummy in your tummy. read more

Went in to see what assortments of donuts they have. Selections are pretty general, the most popular flavors are available and mainly the ones we chose. The lady there was really nice. She notice we are new customers, first time there, so she there in a few extras. I must say, these are made fresh! Nice fluffy texture. We had so many we had to leave it for th next day, and surprisingly, they stayed nice and soft. I like that the glaze on them wasn't extremely sweet, it was light, just enough to the taste but not so much that it becomes a sugar rush or crash. I know you can find these anywhere, but the quality of these donuts were a lot better than other donut shops in town. Hubby brought some donuts home as a surprise. We had wanted to try Mazzoa for a while and were glad it was finally open. He ordered six donuts and a Sunny D. It was about $12. He got a raised donut iced in chocolate with sprinkles, a raised with chocolate chips, a raised donut with vanilla icing and chocolate lines, a custard filled chocolate iced donut, and two cronuts. My son enjoyed his chocolate sprinkles and chocolate chips as you can't really go wrong. The custard filled was a little overdone. The donut was chewy and the custard was rather bland. I was sadly disappointed with it really as it was just very ordinary. The cronut and the vanilla iced however, we ate the next day, and were still soft and tasty (we did store it in a storage container). Overall the donuts were just okay. For being fairly simple donuts, they were priced a bit too high. We got 6 donuts at PinkBox with fancy toppings that were super fresh for the same price as these 6 and a drink. I wish it the best of luck and may try again after its open a little longer so that maybe some adjustments will be made. read more

This donut shop used to be really good precovid. Now it's hit or miss. Don't appreciate buying old donuts for the same price. Omgaaahhh. These are hands down the best donuts I've eaten so far in SW Vegas. No frills and no crazy toppings and just right as far as sweetness. The taste and texture are spot on and at 4pm they still had fresh tasting donuts plus they had a lot left. I'm sure they must bake several batches a day. The only thing that sucked about my visit was that they had just sold out of custard donuts and that's exactly what I wanted. I can only imagine if the custard is good and mixed with the taste and texture of the actual donuts is going to be so bomb so I will return and hope to find at least one custard donut in the near future.
