This place is great! Service was awesome and quick. The food was delicious too. I loved their sweetened iced tea with the mango flavoring. The sandwiches were delicious and weren't overly heavy. I loved having to pick a side also. Highly recommend

I came here for lunch around noon to grab a quick bite before driving back up to Columbus. While the line for ordering wasn't long, there were a number of people waiting for their food. It took a good long while...I must've waited maybe 15-20 minutes to get my order. They seemed to have messed up some orders too... not a good sign. A lot of people work in the Kenwood area and were picking up food to-go for a bunch of their co workers. It's a busy place! The seating area didn't seem to get full but a lot of people frequent this location. I ordered the McAlister's club with some sweet tea with lemon. Yum! It was a tasty meal. I will add that the staff was racially diverse. Love seeing that! It was just an odd contrast to the mostly white customer base...weird. But this is Ohio. Otherwise, parking was easy to find! The lot shares with other businesses but there seems to always be parking spots open.

What I received vs what I ordered

I was really excited to try McAlister's Deli after seeing all the positive reviews online. I ordered the McAllister's Clubhouse sandwich, which is one of their most popular items. It was ordered via doordash the sandwich came out looking like it was missing a whole part of the sandwich. The bread was dry and the meat was bland on top of missing a layer of meat. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience at McAlister's Deli. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good deli sandwich.

A lot to choose from to order here

I stopped by on my way to a meeting after being stuck in traffic nearby on I-71. I ordered the deluxe nachos and a grilled cheese sandwich with side of mac & cheese to go. Once I arrived to my meeting, I opened the items - the grilled cheese sandwich was oozing with cheese, great, but a bit greasy and the side of mac & cheese was a small scoop, the size of half of the cup it was placed in. The nachos people in my group enjoyed, but they were okay, nothing special. The location of the restaurant was convenient for a quick order.

Only thing is I wish they could make it gluten free. I got the Mira bowl in a kid size portion and had boiled eggs as an add on. Perfect portion! The bartender recommended the smaller size since I was getting waffles and I'm glad she made that suggestion. Lavender latte with oatmilk was light and delicate. Just what I was looking for. Nothing was too sweet and I enjoyed everything. The inside had a nice airy feel to it. They have a cute little kids corner filled with books and fun stuff for the little ones to stay busy while waiting on meals. They close at 3 so I recommend enjoying it for brunch/lunch!

Or you can be seated at a table in a large open dining area. Very community conscious with a ramp for wheelchair to get from main hostess area to the dining area. I was seated right away. Being visitor from VA Beach, I asked what's the recommended dish, the server suggested omelette. But I wasn't in the mood for omelette so I saw shakshuka. I tried their Green Goddess version that has spinach (instead of tomato sauce) and feta. The food is a solid 3. I also ordered the Dubai Chocolate latte. It was a 3 as you taste more the milk than the chocolate syrup. I also got their chocolate chip banana bread.

People are always surprised when they hear that we often drive the almost hour trip from Dayton to…read moreCincinnati for dinner but it's worth it for the treasure trove of independent establishments like The Wheel Oakley! I had heard that their pop-up dinners sell out very quickly so I was ready the day they were posted and grabbed a few spots for one of their February dates. We arrived and were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and then we found a seat at the long community table set for 20; it was so much fun getting to know the people seated next to us! Dinner was delicious! Four courses-the gnocchi with sausage was our favorite dish of the night.

If you follow them on socials, you can score a seat at the pop-ups. The place is an old house with a lot of character. The food for carryout is fantastic and their bread is fantastic. We live in West Chester and have driven down to there a few times just to pick up delicious dinners. We just attended our first dinner there last Tuesday. Oh My Goodness! What a treat. Jordan greeted us with a glass of Prosecco and directed us where to sit a long table that seats 20. We introduced ourselves to our seatmates and then our first dish arrived. Chef does explain the food before we had each dish, however we wished there was more background and history as to how this place came into being. So expect fantastic food without a lot of details. The first dish was a salad made with all local ingredients. It was so fresh and the dressing made with fresh dill was fantastic. The second dish was a ravioli with northern Italian cheese on a bed of butternut squash puree and brown butter. The pasta was SO delicate and the flavors complimented each other so well. The third dish was a 6 hour braised pork shoulder with ricotta gnocchi in a sauce with Calabrian chilis and I don't know what else. We have been to Italy and all the Italian restaurants in Cincinnati and never had anything like this. It was truly phenomenal. Dessert was a apple upside down cake served warm with whipped cream...fantastic. You bring your own wine, and Jordan is on it by never letting your glass get empty, pouring water, and clearing dishes. Service was so great and she is so friendly and accommodating. The cost was a very reasonable $100/pp and SO worth it. There is no menu, so you go in just devouring what Chef has prepared.
