Walked in with 2 of my friends that had never been, and we were staring at the menu for a while trying to figure out vegan options for one of us. We must've stood there for a long time as one employee rudely stated, "If you're not going to order anything you might as well get out". Not bad. I eat there with my daughters on many occasions. It is not a company store but the food is done well and staff are extremely courteous and efficient. Disgustingly dirty restaurant. I don't want to imagine what it looks like in the back when they can't manage to keep tables clean on a slow lunch day. Crumbs and caked-on food litter the tables. McAlister's Deli is one of my Favs. I call it my office away from the office. It has a great environment and AWESOME staff who are very friendly. The food is good, great proportions, and reasonably priced. Especially if you take the surveys they give out. Additionally, they have amazing tea, and great chocolate chip cookies. I've never had anything I didn't like! I am specifically writing this review in regards to the customer service that I have received at this location. If I were to give them a grade it would be A+++++! I went one night with my best friend, who had recently broken her ankle, and one of the employees came running up to hold the door as my friend used her scooter to enter. It was an example of someone going above and beyond to help. The staff at this location are always friendly and don't mind if you ask questions about the menu. I personally like finding out what some of the employees favorite dishes are, as I'm still working my way through the menu :)! This is most assuredly one of my favorite places to eat! read more

My husband raved about this place so I thought I would give it a try. I went with my dad and we ordered take out. I got the basil Parmesan chicken panini with a side of mac and cheese, my dad got the Havarti sweet chipotle chicken panini with a side of potato salad, and hubby got the spud ole'. Mine was pretty good. It has a ton of basil, which I love. The chicken was tender, the bread was toasted and it had some sauteed red peppers for more flavor. Mac and cheese was creamy. My dad and I switched halves of our sandwiches and I tried his chipotle chicken sandwich. I am not much of a sweet sandwich fan, but I liked this one too. I didn't try my husband's but it was a HUGE potato and covered in chili and cheese. Totally up my alley. He kept saying over and over again that the sweet tea was "so good." We order from this location at least once a month and have been doing so for years. Their service and food is pretty darn good and we've never had any issues, until today (dun dun duuun). I ordered half a grilled CHICKEN caesar wrap, first off it came in taco form instead of rolled, totally not a big deal because I like tacos, but then the main ingredient "chicken " was MIA. We had been joking that they were back there plucking the chicken because it was taking longer than normal to get my order, come to find out they just gave up on the chicken and just decided to not give me any. I ordered a sandwich (smoky pepper jack and turkey) and it was the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. It had one piece of bacon on it. ONE piece and it was only about 3 inches long! It was mostly just bread. Not worth a $7 sandwich. I also got a ice water. The water smelled and tasted HORRIBLE. It must of been strait from the sink. Good Sandwiches, Small Portions. I bought 4 sandwiches and my bill was $54. That's $13.50 a sandwich! I feel like if I'm paying that much there should be real bacon on my sandwich. To be honest I would have rather went to Corner Bakery or Jason's Deli (at least there proportions are normal sized) but there are none around here. Pretty generic sandwich fair. Long, slow lines to order. Not enough staff. Manager off chatting to the side while the front counter is in the weeds. We had a table of four. They forgot our youngest daughters lunch. The manager went back and looked on the order, it was there. So they prepared it. My hot sandwich, the big nastey, came out cold as a stone. Yum, cold gravy. Best family dining deli ever!!! The google user who said it was overpriced is insane. This casual deli style restaurant is fairly inexpensive with most meals under $8, and it is a great family value because kids meals are $1 if you dine in. My family of 6 eats there for under $20. Beside the value, you have a great variety to choose from. I personally love the chicken club, which they can make into a wrap, or the chipotle chicken sandwich. The salads are very good as well. I have yet try anything that was not good, and I have worked my way through 2/3rds of the menu. The food is light, healthy, and flavorful. I highly recommend McAlister's, and the staff at this location is very nice, attentive, and timely with their service. Do yourself a favor and eat here. read more

I just don't know why this place can't do better in their food prep. Tonight I ordered the Ham and Cheese Melt. Whomever put my sandwich together just piled a wad of ham in the center of the bread, slapped the top on and heated it. I took it apart and portioned the meat in order to have a half decent sandwich. It doesn't matter what I order, it is always just thrown together. The soup usually has to be sent back to be re-heated. It is as though no one cares about quality. I think it must really be hard to hire anyone who give a hoot about their product. Really sad. They have a clean restaurant, and the employees are friendly. If you speak with the "manager of the hour", that person will try to make you happy, but it gets old having to send food back and wait. It should be right in the beginning. read more

Mcallister's is your standard deli and offers, here's a shocker, standard deli food. However, their standard deli food is, in my opinion, above average. The food is always fresh and tasty. It's not the end all/be all of sandwich-type-yummies, but the food can constitute a really pleasant meal. The fact that I have not eaten the best sandwich of my life at Mcallister's is the reason I couldn't quite give this place five stars. Great customer service! We were waiting for about 15 minutes for our food (unlike McAlister's usually speedy service) so my husband went to go check on our food. Aurora apologized and said that it accidentally got rang in wrong and that she would get our order out ASAP. 5 minutes later we got our meals and they were SO good! I used to love this McAlister's but ever since the new manager came, it has gone down the drain. My food is never made right, the staff if not nearly as friendly as they used to be and they always have the excuse that things weren't made right because they are really busy. That's no excuse. This is not my first unsatisfactory experience with this particular McAlisters. In general I love the restaurant but this location has been unsatisfactory. Today I went to get my food during my lunch break and had to wait to pick up my order. This has been a continual frustration with this location. They make such a big deal with togo parking and a togo register that I expect to receive immediate service...my lunch break is only 30 minutes!! I ordered the French dip sandwich which comes with aus jus sauce. Well the sauce was thrown in my bag (I watched them) and when I got back to work I had to clean up a whole mess of brown juice that was all over everything in the bag. Then when I ate my sandwich the meat and bread were burned and they forgot to put on the cheese! read more

I absolutely love Mcalisters food but all the girls who work there except maybe one are God awful, terribly rude. I live in Wylie and this is the closest location and I will be making the farther drive to avoid the rude employees here. They rarely greet you nor do they even say have a good night or check on you for refills regardless of how slow they are. My order is never correct either and it's always such a big deal for them to fix anything. read more
