We ordered 3 meals and one had hair in the sandwhich that wasn't ours and one of the wraps had a pimple patch stuck on the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap. A PIMPLE PATCH. When I called to ask for the items to be refunded or talk to a manager that were affected first I was told "We're too busy, we'll call you later" I never got a call back. I called the next day and was told essentially I was a liar and it didn't happen as "I was the one who prepared your food and I am bald and don't have pimples or know what that is" and then was told "you can't even go to the office and get that" which is correct you can't. People work with these on all the time now and then I was told "Your door dasher did that" even though everything was sealed and wrapped up. And I was told there would be a full refund ( I only asked for the affected items to be refunded) and still have yet to see any actual action being done. I hate to be the person to write a review but this is unacceptable by the lack of accountability from management. Ordered online. I chose the option to pick up through pick up window. Said it was supposed to be ready at 5 pm but knowing better from past experience waited till 5:30. I went to through to the speakers where an automated voice told me to pick up online order at window. Girl with pink hair saw me waiting and ignored me as well as the guy working in the back wearing a ski hat. I waited there 10 minutes and no one acknowledged me so I pulled around to go inside and my bag is just sitting there on the pick up shelf. Are your employees really that lazy that they can't pick up my order and hand it to me through the pick up window ?Pathetic. A group of us women got together last night and decided to try a new place. Very friendly service workers and they wanted you to be pleased with what you ordered. They were patient with us and the food was worth it. We all were pleased with our orders. They were good about coming around and checking about our food and drinks. If I could give zero stars I would. Dirty trays piled everywhere, short staffed, waited 40min for food and the place wasn't that busy. To top it off my food came on a very dirty plate and when I brought it to the front they tried to tell me it wasn't dirty. I had Mcalisters today for my first time. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the Italian sandwich with a pairing of their delicious spicy chicken tortilla soup. The sandwich was warm and everything from the veggies to the meat tasted FRESH. The tortilla soup is very spicy but I love spicy so I enjoyed the bold flavors accompanied with green onions in the soup. The half sandwich was very filling. And the prices reasonable for the quality. Whenever I visit a sandwich shop I try to scope out what makes them any different from the traditional sub ways or other competitors. I personally thought that their French Dips on the menu helps them stand out and become a go to for hot sandwiches. Not but 24 hours after my debut of this chain I find myself hitting another location just 3 hours south on my return trip to STL! Its good karma folks and Yelp got me there! This time I got the missed item from round 1.....sando slam time! I got the King Club because I love club sandos in this was is double everything of the original king club and that's how I roll! If you like big sandos and like club sandos this one is where the $$ is pure and simple. I held the cheese and subbed mustard for may as I always do but that left nothing to be desired about this bad boy! I did drive by pick up on this order so it was a quick, convenient in and out so I could keep on the road and get home before rain hit. I was extremely disappointed with my McAlister experience. I tend to stop at this McAllisters every couple months while passing through Springfield to get to Chicago. I have had many poor experiences with wait times at this location before but never this bad. We waited for our drive thru food for over 25 minutes. I have not had this lag in the drive thru with other McAllisters and I think if you cannot handle getting the food out quickly you should not operate as a business that uses a drive thru. Additionally once we got our food, we had multiple issues. The 1st being my request to get no Avocado on my wrap was not fulfilled, leading to me needing to switch meals with my Fiance due to my allergy. The 2nd was the Mac n Cheese. Their normally creamy Mac N Cheese was filled with barely melted shredded cheddar cheese, causing the noodles to block up and throw off the taste. We believe this addition was to compensate for the either a lack of other cheese or to cover up that dried out from being old. We will certainly not be coming back to this McAlister. Instead opting for a less healthy option of Steak n Shake next door or the Panera bread up the street. read more

There was a gentleman ahead of me who was never acknowledged for awhile the young girl was just looking down playing with her hands so she looked up at me and I asked her if she had waited in the older gentleman and she said no I'm waiting on him. so once she took his order she seemed like something was wrong so I asked if she was ok. She took my order and I waited for quite sometime while the people behind counter were just having a conversation. This was unacceptable will not consider going here again it would have been faster to go to the grocery store and make the meal myself. I'm very hungry. This location is usually slow (20-35 minute drive-thru wait), but not this slow. You will not get another penny from me and I don't recommend anyone else go to this restaurant. Criminally slow. My wife went through the drive through and the very very skinny female worker who was wearing a leopard style shirt forgot to give her a bag of chips for our twin toddler's meal. My wife went back through the drive through line in our vehicle and the female wanted to argue about the bag of chips at first. Then, she proceeded to scowl because the female worker figured out she was in the wrong the whole time. Nobody wants to hear your opinion lady, just do your job. If you mess up, own it, and fix it. A few hours after eating, my wife and I both got sick from eating the turkey. Obviously they don't know how to keep their food safe either. Stay away from this place. It down right sucks. read more

McAlister's Deli is one our favorite go to deli's they have great soups & salads and we love all the sandwiches we have tried. Their tea is great! Very clean dining area and restrooms. We have been known to walk in sit down go to restroom and walk out. If an establishment has a dirty restroom and staff is using them..... why would anyone want them to prepare the food? After paying for my salad, I waited in the drive thru lane for 28 minutes before an employee came outside to try to give me the order for the lady in the car behind me. I explained that wasn't what I ordered and he said mine was still coming. Both cars behind me received orders and left. I waited 5 more minutes and then backed up to be closer to the door. The employee came back out to tell me my order had been bumped, but not made. At that point I went inside to ask for my salad along with a refund. I finally received both the salad and refund, but never received any kind of apology nor was I offered any drink or other food item as compensation for my wait. BTW, this salad should have been free to begin with as the last time I ordered a Southwest Chicken salad about a month ago, I found no chicken or advocado in the salad after I drove back home. I had called and was promised a voucher for free salad would be mailed to me. They asked for my address, but I never received a voucher. I've given this location multiple chances. Always takes an eternity to get my food. Most interactions with staff they are rude and short with you. Only dined in once and it was difficult to find a table that didn't have dirty plates on it. Restaurant was filthy inside. Ordered a Southwest Chicken and Avocado salad. They replaced the chicken with what they claim was a "substitute chicken product" without even informing me. Budding lunchmeat would have been a step up from what that product was. This quote above was directly from the Area Manger's email in response to a survey they sent me. Watched two other tables get refunds while we were there. Didn't ask for money back or have a desire for a free meal. Just want them to get their act together. Geniuses there sent me a survey about the experience. I answered it honestly. Received a reply from the Area Manager lecturing me that the survey is "This portal was built for positive feedback and to address issues." So if you don't want constructive criticism then only allow 5 star responses and nothing else. Love McAlister's but the Springfield IL Dirksen Parkway location is terrible. Really sad. A panera of the Midwest but better quality food in ways. Sometimes you want panera with out the froo froo. Unlimited refills on massive drinks. Was great to have unsweetened tea for the road.... Horseradish cheddar roast beef, but got it with turkey and in marble rye. They beautifully roasted the eye without my asking (something I overlooked thinking about when ordering a warm sandwich).
