No one seems to know basic plans and packages offered by their very own dealerships as well as seeming to be in the biggest hurry in the world to get back to the computers and exude boredom. Hi my name is Mr. Cupp handicap Air Force Vet (1966 - 1970) and as I am currently battling throat cancer On Sept.23, 2017 I purchased a 2004 Toyota Tacoma from Sales Person Christian Witt from McCluskey Chevrolet . On Nov. 1 2017 as I had not received my title so I called McCluskey Chevrolet and explain what my issue was. That the 45 day temp. tags was going to expired on 11/07/2017 and I was concerned. On Nov. 2, 2017 at 4:14pm I received a call back from Pat of McCluskey Chevrolet and I explain the issue . Pat assured me that she would make a duplicate copy of the title and get it to the Reading Road location within the next day or two and she would call and let me know when it got there. Never Happen! On Nov.6 2017 at 11:17am called Pat and ask what happen? Pat informed me that her supervisor had told her that I had to go get my tile myself and McCluskey would reimburse me. Please help me understand why I should not go public with this issue and post on the Disabled Veterans Facebook page and other media resource. I really feel by McCluskey Chevrolet not keeping its promise to have the title delivered to the Reading Rd. location you have advanced my illness by this type of service. Hello I called Karen Shepherd, she did not resolve my issue. Only sent to someone else who is going to call me back. Not holding my breath since I waited 2 days to get a call back from 4 different people and never did. Car is still not fixed even after your service dept supposedly fixed it twice and at this point i have been told by 2 different people at the kings auto mall location maybe i should just void the warranty and go somewhere else. Don't feel that I should have to void my warranty because your staff cannot fix a vehicle for a service that I paid for. read more

We bought a brand new suburban SLT in 2016 from dealer. Two years later the transmission went out in the SUV. McCluskey did not want to honor life time tran because we did not get all of our oil changes there. We specifically asked this question to the sales women and was told just keep receipts and you will be fine even if you do not get oil changes here. That was not true as two years later transmission goes out and McCluskey did not honer there warranty. They wanted me to pay out of pocket for the total expense. I was not happy to say the least as you would think they would want to take care of there customers. I ended up taking my Suburban Joseph Chevrolet and I was amazed how they wanted to help me get this issue resolved. I'm glad I went to Joseph Chevrolet as I ended up paying less than 80% of what McCluskey tried to charge me. What I find even more disappointing is that McCluskey did not even file a claim with Chevrolet to see if they could get anything covered. That was one of the first things Joseph Chevrolet did. Great place to buy a car, actually made it a fun day. My salesman Bill went out of his way to find me discounts on my new car. Treated me like I was the only customer in the place. Everyone in the dealership was top notch. They go out of there way to make sure you are happy with your purchase. I am a customer for life now. Loved the not putting me under pressure to buy. But I did buy the car that day. They even delivered it to my home for me. Btw lots of free snacks. Love the pop machine. Lol they give a lifetime warrantee. BUYER BEWARE - I went to see a vehicle advertised on a Saturday and it was not at their Kings Automall location, but instead at their Galbraith lot. The sales rep, Josh M told me to come back Monday night after work and he would have it brought to Kings. On Monday before heading out the door we called Galbraith and Courtney told us that it had not been and no one had requested it be moved. We were glad we called first so we set up an appointment to see the vehicle at their Galbraith location at 5:00 p.m. When we arrived we were told that someone had just come from their Kings location to pick it up to show to another customer. When we asked about our 5:00 p.m. appointment the sales rep at Galbraith, Justin H, said "you probably should have told someone else besides customer service because they don't have the authority to hold a vehicle". So it was "our" fault for not knowing their customer service department provides no customer service. All around bad experience with this dealer. The good news is I left that evening and went to a competitor where I just purchased the exact same vehicle and received excellent service. read more

This was one of the worse experiences that i have had at a dealership. The staff was rude and at one point even told me when i asked a question that it was not there issue and this came from a manager. They had my truck for 3 weeks and for the first 2 weeks i did not even receive and email or phone call. My transmission was burnt up because bolts was not tighten in the factory and i was told they only had one person to ix the problem. I have to deal with the dealerships for a while longer till i can trade this truck off and move dealerships. I would not recommend McCluskey to anyone as the service department is one of the worse i have ever dealt with. They claim to be one of the largest in the state of Ohio and that may be true but they are also one of the worse for service. read more

I bought my previous 3 vehicles from this place and have loved McCluskey Chevrolet, until now. I went in to trade in my vehicle for a new one. Negotiations didn't go as planned (which is completely fine) and the salesman said that was the best price they could do, which was a little high for me. So I was ready to leave and asked for my keys back (which they had taken when I arrived to look at my car and give me an estimate.). He completely ignored me and kept trying to sell me this car which I made clear was out of my price range. I asked again and was completely ignored. So finally I told him I don't want this car I'm just not interested anymore and if there were any other cars that were in my price range. He then proceeded to tell me "No, this is the car for you." He wasn't even willing to work with me to help me find a car. So I was getting a little angry and wanted my keys back.... but he still wasn't giving them, he was trying to get me to take the vehicle he was trying to sell me home for a few days. This is simply a summary of my experience with McCluskey. Tuesday May 4, 2021: Called McCluskey at 6:24 PM and asked to have a copy of a window sticker from a 2021 Tahoe on their website that had the interior color we liked. We live in Columbus, about 84 miles away, and wanted to pre qualify the car and any options before driving down there to see it. Was told the sticker would be emailed within 1 hour. Called again at 8:16 PM and told it would arrive soon. It never was received. Thursday May 6, 2021: Called McCluskey at 10:09 AM and talked to Xander Hamill. Told him we wanted to drive down from Columbus to see this Tahoe but wanted to assure that it was in stock and available for purchase before driving the 84 miles each way. He assured me it was available and set an appointment for 12 Noon when I was supposed to ask for Dan Hoffman, manager. At 10:26 AM, within 5 minutes of leaving the house, a Jeff Schreiber called and said he was my salesman and he was ready to show me the vehicle and confirmed the 12 N appointment. After traveling 31 miles, at 10:55 AM Mr. Schreiber called again to advise us that the Tahoe had apparently been sold to a local community and was not available after all. We proceeded to the next exit, 8 miles away, where we turned around and drove the 39 miles back home. The reader can make his/her own judgement on this method of customer relations. read more

They delivered a truck to me, they guaranteed me financing, they guaranteed me I'd be happy after the purchase. 17 days later call me and tell me underwriting didn't go through and they're threatening me with police, threatening me with taking my truck -leaving me without transportation for work. The salesperson ran my credit to loan companies where you half to have almost perfect credit. They made sure I couldn't get a loan nowhere else. They have caused me so much stress it's ridiculous. My family has been through hell over this deal. They violated State law. They're supposed to tell me within 10 days underwriting didn't go through they didn't tell me till the 17th day,and now they're using threats. Now I have the regional manager threatening me. If you want to be treated right and you don't want to be scammed do not patronize McCluskey Chevrolet. I'm a single father trying to raise some children and this is what McCluskey does to the customers. They guaranteed financing. They guarantee customer satisfaction. I told McCluskey Chevrolet I would even make double payments to them when they have their own in-house financing. They refused.This is for truck that's a 2012 might I add. Do not come here, they ripped me off on my first car I got from them knowing I was in a desperate situation after a semi totaled my Kia. They wanted over $500 a month for a 2018 Chevy Cruze. So I worked and worked on my credit some came back to refinance for another car hoping for cheaper payments. They put me in a brand new car and took the Cruze for a trade in...after they collecting $1000.00 from me and first car payment they then said I wasn't approved even though I was the first time. They tried to tell me my pay stub was "fake" I've worked at the same job for over 5 years. I asked for my deposit back and was denied so I said then why am I giving you the car back (at this point they had my car and my money) I told them I would give it back when they gave me my money back and that's when their sales manager threatened me saying he would report the car stolen (mind you I have paid more than a month worth on this car already and they were holding my other car that I used as a trade in.) I gave them back their Chevy trax and in return they gave me back my Chevy Cruze that now is a month behind on payments because they were supposedly paying it off and they will not give me back my deposit so that I can pay on it on time! These people just want you to walk off the lot with a car no matter what they have to do or say so that they can keep your money then ask for it back a month later. I cannot wait to be done with them as a whole so I can go back to Kia. Sales representative Gina kept apologizing saying she was "new" as her excuse. I find the service there about zero to null. The sales experience was horrible, so it is no wonder that the service is the same. I made my appointment online, and the day before I called to verify and was told it was not in the system. We were then "squeezed" in and was made to wait 3 hours plus for an oil change and a review of the transmission. To me that is unacceptable. my wife took off half a days work and missed out on time with the kids while she sat and waited. I will only be coming back due to the free oil changes and it is mandated by our warranty. read more

My wife made an appointment for her HHR to have some recall work done and reserved a loaner car. Upon arriving, no loaner car had been reserved. However, they offered to shuttle us to dinner while we waited (was only going to take an hour) and we agreed. We grabbed our kids, their two car seats and left for dinner. Once we arrived at the restaurant, the driver told us to leave the car seats in the vehicle, which we were happy to do. About 30 minutes later we got a call that the work could not be completed, because no one ordered the part that was needed (even though the appointment was made a week prior). They said that the shuttle driver would return to get us in 5 minutes. We quickly paid and then waited outside for over 20 minutes. I called the dealership and they said that the shuttle driver would arrive momentarily. However, the shuttle driver did not come and a serviceman driving my wife's car came to pick us up instead. The problem? No car seats. His plan was to leave us there while he went back (to do what, I don't know since the shuttle driver still had the car seats in the shuttle vehicle and no one knew where he was at). Instead, I told him to get out of the car and I drove back to get my car (which was also having recall work done and had other car seats in it). I figured he could wait for the shuttle since I already had for the last 30 minutes. Upon returning to the dealership, I was told that no one could reach the shuttle driver, however, he happened to pull in while I was there. We were given two free oil changes (no thanks) and told to call the next day to schedule an appointment. However, when my wife called she was berated by someone because I "made his serviceman walk back from the restaurant." About a day later I sent an email to the service manager explaining the full situation. Instead of receiving a reply, I got an email, followed by several voicemails, telling me that they "got my message" and that they had the car I was looking for in stock. Huh? From start to finish, the service was an absolutely disaster. We will never return to this dealership. Not for the free oil changes. Not for recalls. Not for warranties. Not for service. And certainly not to purchase a new vehicle. read more

I was quite disappointed with my recent service at McCluskey's. The Trax which I bought from you needed recall service and tire repair for a small tread puncture which caused a slow leak. I was told that the repair would cost $25. After waiting an hour I was told the tire was not repairable and was offered a new one for $190 ! I was skeptical, said no thanks, and drove on the spare to another auto service down the road where they plugged the tire in about 15 minutes and guaranteed it would not leak, and it hasn't! I purchased a 2014 Chevy Cruz in Feb 2018. Salesman was Ben Schneider. I was not thrilled with his knowledge of the car I purchased. He also promised me a second set of keys. SEVERAL DAYS later, and no keys. I sent an e-mail to the President and he responded by having one of his Managers contact me. The keys were mailed to me. Sooooo, this past weekend, I take my car to have the oil changed, hand the mechanic my spare keys, and low and behold, the keys are not programmed for my car. Sooooo, I sent a text message to Ben Schneider yesterday. His response was, "Sorry to hear that not sure why it wouldn't have been programmed." The correct response should have been, "I'm sorry about that. Please bring your keys in at your convenience and we will have them programmed." Did the KBB instant offer on my car I am selling. Got call from McCluskey that day saying we're interested in your car and can pay top dollar. I detailed all the issues with my car online and they still said interested, so drove out to see. On arrival the manager I was to meet (Dan Hoffman) was not there, and the girl who said she'd help asked me a few questions, one of which was how many miles. I responded and she said ohhh we arent going to be able to give you much of anything for that. This was why I put detailed information online to avoid this. After we were approved the Sales man returned to say, that they couldn't take my vehicle on trade that it would be best if we wanted a different vehicle we could get it but to park the car that we still owe on in the driveway and have it repoed. Stay far, far, away from this place!!! I bought a vehicle from their location on Colerain. I have had nothing but engine problems with this car, which have cost me loads of money. On top of the monthly car payments. I work in the social services field transporting senior citizens and persons with disabilities, to SSA, doctors appointments, etc. I am always afraid that when I have someone in the vehicle with me that it will break down on the side of the road (which it has before). I've been in contact numerous times with the dealership, to no avail. Just recently I went to the Kings Auto Mall location, to see if I could trade this car in. I went on a Saturday, after calling on Friday to let the dealership know that I would be coming in, so that my paperwork would be available. I was met at the door by a car salesman, while in his office, the entire time he was on his cell phone texting, after he finished he then asked for the keys to my car, so that he could have someone to check it out. He proceeded to leave the office, upon his return he stated that the business office was closed on the weekends, and could not access the amount owed on my vehicle. The salesman stated that he would call me on Monday, and he would have all the information then. On Monday, it was getting pretty late in the day, and I had not heard from the salesman,so, I called the business office and, asked if they could email the info to the salesman. An hour after that I called the salesman and asked if he had received the information, he had no idea what I was talking about, even after I went over our previous conversation from my last visit. He said that he would look into it and call me back. Which he never did. The follow up department called the next day, and asked if the salesperson had ever got back with me, I replied no. The representative said that she would have the manager to call me, Later that day the follow up representative called again to ask did I receive a call yet, I replied no that I had not..The rep said that she would speak to the manager again. The following day, I received another call from the rep asking did i receive a phone call, I again replied that no, I had not. She said that she would look into it again...I finally received a phone call from another salesperson, who had no idea why he was calling me, he said that the manager had asked him to call. I had to explain the situation to him, and then he said that he would look into it, and call me back. It has been a week now, and I have not received any calls at all. very very dishonest repair shop. our Isuzu truck had a problem we could not solve and after calling around we ended up calling McCluskey Isuzu which assured us they could repair the truck, so we paid the $700.00 to have it towed to their Cincinnati truck shop. A couple of weeks go by and we have not heard a word from the repair shop, and when we call no one answers; so we drive to the shop and no one is there. This goes on for another few weeks. finally we get ahold of the mechanic on the phone and he is confident he has found the problem, few more weeks go by and we visit the shop again; again no one is there. Long story short....our truck was there for over 6 months and they never touched it. when we were able to talk to someone they completely lied about everything. we towed our truck back home, which costs another $700.00. this place is unbelievable !!!! read more

When I first approached the salesman, he seemed more interested in his phone than making a sale. We felt the salesman was arrogant and didn't seem to want to work with us. Salesman gave us a without any order experience. We felt as if he didn't have a clue as to what he was doing. Finance, insurance, & onstar/my Chevy staff was wonderful, easy to work with, & pleasant. They made our experience much better even though the salesman ordered was backwards. The car is what sold me , not the salesman! When everything was done and we could leave, I pointed out the same dirty spot that was on the vehicle before "car washing," The tires was the only thing that looked cleaned on my new vehicle. Inside vehicle, I pointed out how it wasn't even cleaned on the inside. Salesman seemed more interested in programming my radio station. He was very president and I tried several times not to worry about that and I would program them. Then I felt uncomfortable cause he just wouldn't take no for an answer. Went to buy the 2017 corvette for 47,690 on Sept 10th. Sales person Will comes back with a higher price from his manager ( roughly 52000). I tell him that's incorrect. mean while they've run a credit check and see that my credit is excellent. Again he comes back wit a price higher than 47,690. In between the to wrong prices Will and I go look at the car and he tells me since it's a high performance car it's not eligible for the lifetime warranty. I tell him that was one of the selling points since the web site said all new cars are. He tried to sell me an extended warranty. Go back inside different wrong price because manager added Scottish guard without me asking for it. Asked what payments would be. Couldn't get firm answer, but should be base on 3-4%. Did my own math and it was closer to 9%. The mistake was you have to pay taxes on MSRP. One mistake (lie) after another. Sales Manager called me and apologized. I was considering selling my 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 to them. I was told to come in and ask for the sales manager. I get there and he's pretending to be busy so isn't able to come view the car. After a regular salesman viewed the car (he knew nothing about Corvettes) they low balled me as one would expect. I quickly responded that they had the EXACT SAME CAR FOR SALE (aside from it was a convertible) for $13K more than they were offering. Sales guy obviously hadn't done his homework and tried to stutter his reasoning out. Obviously didn't accept and left. Called later and left a message for the sales manager. This guy must be afraid to talk deals because he had someone else call me back. This new guy (wasn't at Chevrolet the night I took the car in) said he'll offer me $500 more but that's the best he can do. Do you see what's wrong here? They are asking someone who's offsite how much they should pay for my car. How would he know? He hasn't seen it/driven it. He doesn't know the entire car is wrapped in xpel or that I just had new tires put on it. These people are incompetent and will never get my business. read more

I bought a new Malibu from this place last summer. I was approved, had a car picked out that I loved just needed a release that a previous vehicle in fact wasn't my responsibility anymore. ( I was a co signer) came back the very next day after every piece of paper was ready to go and I brought my expedition to trade in bc 1. I needed something with better gas mileage and 2. It needed a new transmission. No big deal. So, after getting there and all of the hassel. I was pretty much stuck there and the salesman says well, we have to go with a different car. I was so upset, but like I said...my expedition needed a transmission so I couldn't drive it an hr home. He said something in interest rates caused me not to be able to have the car I picked out. Long story short...I bought a base model Malibu. He promised and encouraged me to consider that McCluskey offers a bumper to bumper warranty bc that's how they like to treat people like family and also you got 3 years of complimentary oil changes. Lies...there is NO bumper to bumper. & the oil changes were limited to 4. Also, he failed to tell me that if I didn't get oil changes there, there was also no power train warranty. So, 1.5 yrs. And I have no warranty. A less than 2 yr. Old vehicle. Poor crappy service & lying salesman. After I brought all of this up to them they stated "well, he got fired for lying to sell cars. Sorry that happened. What the hell?????!!!!. I can't afford not to have a car so here I am. Disappointed. Please don't waste your time or money here. Don't get swayed by the starbucks coffe or fancy decor. Go next door or to the next town. Do your research and get everything in writing. read more

This dealer was one of the authorized dealers and I even got a quick phone call and email from them stating that they were interested in buying my car and that they might offer me more money. They happened to have a car I was interested in so I paid them a visit. The salesman said it was on another lot but he would have it brought over. Said it would be about 20-30 minutes. My wife and I said we had a few things to do and would be back in a half an hour. When I got back the car still wasn't there so I gave them my keys for an estimate. Another hour later, the car I came to see was still not there and their estimate for my car was over a thousand dollars less than my instant price offer on autotrader. (The same car sells for $8000 more) Total waste of half a day for nothing but sales people that wanted to jerk me around. Never did see the car! read more

I'm thoroughly unsatisfied with the service department at McCluskey at Kings Auto Mall. First off, you are held hostage with the lifetime warranty on your vehicle and if you do not use McCluskey for oil changes and wheel rotation, you will void your warranty. I was ok with that until I had to start going for my services. First off, oil change and tire rotation DOES NOT take 1 and 1/2 hours to perform!!!!. This has happened twice now and my time is money. Secondly, in this respect, I made my recent appointment for 8am on a Monday morning when there were no other appointments. I sat there and watched the foot traffic to the customer lounge where donuts, drinks and coffee was served for customers and it was AMAZING the amount of McCluskey employees that were lolligaggin around in there, especially MANY service techs, and I know they just clocked in!!!!! Work ethics sucked. Thirdly, they say they do a safety inspection on your vehicle which normally costs $20 and I personally know I need brake pads and I got NO notification regarding any safety report but it was on my invoice that it was completed. Fourth, tire rotation was not done I feel and tire pressures were the same when I brought my vehicle in but I was charged for this service. BOTTOMLINE: Be careful what you sign on for and are promised with McCluskey Chevrolet. Their service department has a lot to say for itself.
