    Denver omelette
    Tom B.

Used to come in occasionally, literally years ago. Decided to give it a try again. Dropped by at about 1:30. Not too many customers at that time. Interior is fairly diner-ish. Lots of mature patrons. ie. not young. Wife ordered the Denver omelette, I did the ribeye steak breakfast. Steak is marked as market price. At this time it means $29.95. Food came out pretty quickly. Sadly we had some problems. The ribeye cut is pretty thin. First time out came out raw in the middle, the refire cooked it too much. Quite a bit of fat on the cut. Not a huge fan and wouldn't order it again. Hash browns were not super warm, over easy eggs were fine. They offer two sizes of omelette, wife was going to get the full and take some home. Didn't specify and server didn't ask. Ended up getting the half omelette, evidently. OK. Don't really cook the veggies much and they were pretty crunchy. Again hash browns just warm. With tip meal was north of $55. Servers were friendly and accommodating Not sure we will return. Bummer

Special biscuit and gravy with egg and bacon.

We arrived on a Monday morning and had our choice of tables. Service was very friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts arrived from the kitchen quickly and as ordered. I had a special, 1 biscuit and gravy, 1 bacon, and 1 egg. My date had the half omelet, turkey, and swiss cheese. Everything tasted great, and coffee refills were offered several times. If we were to have one minor complaint, it would be the weak coffee. We'll be back.

Seat yourself, lots of menu selections - we chose breakfast. Decent size portions, sweet and efficient waitresses. It's a busy place. Standard breakfast diner, no frills.

My wife and I went for breakfast and it was amazing. We went on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was quite full and got sat right away. Great atmosphere.

    HUGE chicken fried steak

Great little place for breakfast. I ordered the Jerry special. Well it was made for me so how could I resist? it was my go to for breakfast, chicken fried steak and eggs. I was able to substitute egg whites which is good for me. The hash browns I ordered extra crispy. They were surely made to order. Next time I will just have them regular. The chicken fried steak was just ok. It was freaking enormous but big doesn't mean good. For me it was a bit thin and chewy. Not my favorite. The staff was friendly and were fast with the coffee refills.

What I found (see photo) was a mash of potatoes, refried beans & cheese; as i moved some of the contents around, i did notice some very small cubes of ham. But, Not one bit of bacon or actual sausage did i find ? It was pretty disappointing. I expected to get some real bacon pieces, and real sausage in there .. am i wrong to expect that ? The price wasn't exorbitant, so i guess theres that. I will say the service was great , ambience was fine , so I don't want to be super critical of the place in general.. and, Im not saying don't ever eat @ Gresham Burrito House by any stretch... just maybe avoid their breakfast burritos :) Have a nice day !

We just walked over to the door. All ready, I didn't like entering with a loud music, I asked to be seated where it's quieter. She said: she'll turn it down. It didn't seem like the music any quieter, so hubby asked her again, and she said: someone may have turned it back up, she would lower it again. The music did get quiet. (There were small children at the time). We ordered from extensive menu. I chose the Empanada de Camaron: 4 fried turnover Empanada stuffed with cheese, shrimp, and vegetable sofrito (mixed with aromatic ingredients then sautéed), accompanied with Mexican sauce. Hubby picked the Chile Relleno: Poblano chili pepper, stuffed with mixed cheese and potato, battered in whipped egg then deep-fried to a golden brown and bathed in delicious tomato sauce. Both were delicious! The relleno was served with rice pilaf with mixed vegetable, he said he didn't care too much for that. I only ate only one of my empanada, because I was filling up with my chips & enjoying my salsa, but I wasn't really hungry. I took the rest home, for later. I love the sauce! I told Adriana, and she said: Oh! You didn't want that? I tried to tell her: I'd like it to go. (I have a feeling we're having problem communicating, she's very nice, though). The service: We were talked to by 4-5 different servers who asked us how we were doing. One: I asked if I could have mild salsa sauce, and she said: No, those were the choices they all have. A few minutes later, I asked a bus boy, but he asked someone else (who spoke English), and he - Alexander - he delivered a warm salsa to our table. He came back again, to ask how it was. The 5th girl who showed up at our table, mentioned to her about our anniversary. Towards the end, we did get a complimentary flan (thank you), but both of our water glass were empty, and we didn't get a refill, we're done. The restroom were clean, and I love the decor of the restaurant, specially the fresh flowers on each table.

The insider is large, and has an industrial vibe. It's open and airy, though, and has an interesting neon mural. They brought our chips and salsa first. They were standard, bagged chips with both Red and green salsas. The green is better, but you can't actually dip the chip into the little metal cups because they're too small. I got coffee. The creamers were French Vanille Coffee Mate. Ew. Not good. My wife ordered a margarita, which looked nice, but it tasted like it was made with a mix instead of lime and Cointreau. We split Canaries a la Diabla, which is a spicy shrimp dish with rice. The rice was a bit overcooked, but maybe that's the way it's done. The shrimp was milder than I was expecting, but it was flavorful (almost a mole) and not too rich. Touched all the bases. My complaint was that the shells were still on. We had a lot of trouble eating them. The waitress said afterwards that we could have ordered them shell off, but she should have given us that option when we ordered. It came with a small salad with vinaigrette, pineapple and beet on lettuce. It was nice. The experience was a near miss, but we'll try it again.
