On the way home from our road trip on Monday, we stopped at this McDonald's location in Angels Camp for a quick breakfast. My husband ordered an Egg McMuffin, my daughter ordered the Hotcakes with a Hash Brown and I ordered a Medium Vanilla Iced Coffee. My husband said his McMuffin was pretty solid and I liked that my Iced Coffee wasn't overly sweet. My daughter devoured her Hotcakes and even shared them with our dog. I can't comment on the ambiance since this was a drive-thru order, but every staff person we encountered were super friendly. Overall, I'm giving 4 stars since I did not order any food myself, plus I'm not sure what the inside looked like - would also like to order off their regular menu next time! The several times that we have ordered from here we receive old refried fries and the fries could use some salt and when we requested salt it was way too salty. Other times we've ordered chicken nuggets and they are dark in color and smaller than normal which indicates to me that they have been refried and old. Both of these situations have happened more than not. My dad refuses to eat here as it upsets his stomach and it's from this specific McDonald's. read more

Ordered at counter lg iced coffee / no cream no sugar. Girl rang it up for $1.99. I told her she wasn't charging enough - I was sure it was $3.69. I go there often and so I know. She told me I was wrong. When order came it was a lg hot coffee so I walked back up to counter and tried to explain to a different girl my order was wrong. She was irritated, grabbed it from me and turned around and came back with lg iced coffee with cream and sugar - I said it was supposed to be without cream and sugar - she snapped at me and said I should have said so. she was so rude and when she came back with correct order I said she shouldn't be rude to customers - she wouldn't look at me and had a disgusted look on her face. I asked to speak to a mgr. a gal came and I explained what had happened and she apologized - I suggested she talk to employee. I went to my table and that rude girl was outside talking to guy who works there - he cleans outside and they were both looking at me thru window. I will not return to that store and I normally go about twice a week. I am 77 years old and have never been treated so rudely. We were on the way back from Murphys and wanted to get some breakfast on the go. I'm a big fan of Mcdonald's breakfast when in a pinch, so we came to this location in Angel's Camp, went through the drive-through, and got our hot food a minute later. Highly recommend the sausage burritos. The kids devoured their hot cakes and sausage. And of course, you can't forget to get a round of hash browns for the whole family. The coffee here is not bad for fast food coffee - you can ask for the iced coffee to be plain if you're not into the caramel sweetener. Overall, no complaints regarding our visit to this location. read more

The food was warm when served. The restaurant is filthy. Not one table inside was cleaned. There were no medium drink cup lids and the employees looked like they all needed a shower. I don't always write reviews for fast food spots, but when you receive food that looks pretty darn close to the pictures, I gotta stop and show some love. After a quick road-trip up from the Bay Area and stressed, it was one of those, it feels like McDonald's type of moments. They are currently running the buy 1 get one for $1 deal for a handful of their menu items. I decided to go with the Big Mac and got a $1 filet-o-fish. YES, a filet-o-fish, there's no way I'd pay full price for a filet-o-fish, but for a $1, I can get down with it. Also, shout out to this location for having a spicy mcchicken on the menu too, those are hella good! Everything I ordered was SO FRESH and well put together. None of the food felt or tasted like it was sitting in a tray for hours. Buns were perfectly toasted, and just blown away by how good this McDonald's tasted in comparison to the ones closer to home. Typically I order my fries with no salt (the hack to get the freshest fries), but the fries from here came out fresh, hot and delicious. I asked for a couple sauces (without being charged more, Bay Area locations, take notes please), shout out the hot mustard and their buffalo, both perfect for everything I ordered. If you are driving through Angels Camp, the fast food game here is unreal. Busy McDonald's line moves very slow the inside was a mess dirty tables sofa area was a mess no breakfast items sold here after breakfast time I guess no longer serving certain breakfast items all day not sure if it's just this McDonald's or it's all the McDonald's since covid. Having clean tables and counters is a must with todays health issues I guess the cleaning after yourself or for the staff to make sure the dining area is clean is out the window No breakfast all day and NO spicy chicken nuggets was a clue to leave but we ordered a few snacks anyway and cleaned up our table / chairs with my disposal disinfected wipes I carry in my purse ate our food and I wiped down the table chairs with some more wipes before we left at least I knew I made it clean for the next guest maybe others will learn to clean up after their self's since staffing is short everyone now a days. This McDonalds location embraces modern technology in an area that does not seem to have many businesses or places to eat. You have the option of placing your order through the automated tablet or placing an order through the cashier which we preferred to do. (Don't like how machines are taking over cashiers jobs! What ever happened to speaking to someone face to face with a monetary transaction?) Service wise, the cashiers were friendly and the person who brought us our food seemed nice. They looked like they may be the manager or the owner of the franchise? The speed of the order from paying to getting the order was kind of slow but that was to be expected for a lunch hour rush time. This is popular with tourists and locals alike. This is a great McDonalds. It is the only one near by so I was expecting poor service and slow processing times but that has not been what I've gotten at all. The staff is friendly, has given me directions, and corrects mistakes without complaints. The food is better than at most other McDonald's. McDonalds in Calaveras County? You bet! Growing up in Arnold, we rarely got to go to McDonalds. I mean, the nearest one was like an hour away. Of course my family was not really into fast food, but I still liked some chicken nuggets every once in a while. Fast forward years later and a failed attempt to open a branch in San Andreas and Angels Camp is now the latest home to McDonalds. This branch opened up the end of October. It's nice to have another option for quick dining in the area. My favorite thing to order? Definitely the french fries. Oh and the hot apple pie. Just don't eat the apple pie as soon as you get it or else you will burn your tongue. I found that out the hard way. Ouch! read more

Wow!!! I'm completely flabbergasted at the manager. I'm sitting at the restaurant at 5:59pm. My mom was waiting so long for her order I got up to wait instead. The manager saw me and said "where did that old lady go?". I replied that old lady is my mom. She was like "oh!" Talk about rude. Nice service! This is the first time that my food is served at the table at any McDonald's ever! I was happy to find this McDo on my way to Alpine Lake this weekend, as I was craving the seasonal Pumpkin Spice latte which is excellent and way cheaper than at Starbucks, at least the small size is only $2 and to be seems larger than the smallest at the famous chain.
