Somehow things have gotten worse here? I know many places are short staffed but WOW. Corporate, if you're reading this, you gotta figure this location out. I won't lie, I've been so busy lately that dinner has become late night fast food takeout on more than one occasion in the last couple of months. I've come here twice to be informed at the ordering speaker that they were only taking mobile orders at the time, no new drive thru orders were being processed. That first time I said "OK fine" and used that as a sign I should go home and just take down a bowl of cereal and go to bed. But a few days ago I came back to try again and encountered the same thing. This time, I had my heart set on some fries plus I was picking up food for a few folks so, I begrudgingly pulled over into the parking lot, downloaded the app, and placed an order there as requested. I waited a few minutes and went back to the drive thru as directed to pick up my order and I waited...and waited...and waited... Friends, for 20 MINUTES I waited for someone to even come onto the speaker. It never came. The line got longer, then shorter as cars peeled out around me in frustration. You may ask "why on earth would you wait that long for MCDONALD'S, Annette?" and that's a very good question. The answer to which, of course, is because the app had forced me to already pay and cancellation was not an option. It suddenly became to clear to me why they're rerouting everything to the app. So they don't lose money if you leave because it's a total sh*tshow. So I was stuck. Eventually, after the 20 minutes of silence I gave up the drive thru and went inside. My order number had *just* been added to the board. BTW, I hadn't been inside a McDonalds in I don't know how long and now all orders are placed on large screens in the lobby. They don't have a human taking orders anymore. Not a single employee was on the floor to talk to. Everyone was in the back hustling putting the orders together and somehow it still wasn't enough? I waited 20 more minutes. YES. 40 MINUTES TOTAL FOR MCDONALDS!? What in fresh Grimace hell is happening back there? What about this is "fast food"? If I knew I'd get my money back I'd have walked out. But I doubted they would refund me so I sat their fuming instead, wasting my Sunday night. Finally my order came up and I took it home to the hungry masses. The food itself was FINE. They did not salt the fries but I wasn't about to go through that mess again for a correction. We just dumped out shakers on it at home. So yeah, IDK if this is a staffing issue or they're just not scheduling enough people but McDonald's, you pay your people more so they want to work there and show up! It's killing your existing employees to juggle the load and it's killing your customers because we're forced to wait forever for a meager quarter pounder and fries. Part of why we put up with the meh food is because of the speed and convenience and without that, I don't even know why we're doing it. 40 minutes could have netted me a delicious pizza from a local joint for around the same price. I'm fairly confident I will never go back to this location again, even though it is the closest to my house. Get it together, Ronald. Every once in a while you just get a craving that only McDonald's can satisfy. Give me their breakfast sandwich and some French fries any day! But not actually! Based on other reviews I feel I've been incredible lucky that I've not had too many issues with this location. But dang when I do have issues it's been BAD. A couple of times I've had to wait about half an hour after ordering for my food or just not made it to the order window since it's so backed up. Thankfully most visits have been relatively seamless. Service has always been good and have never had any issues with my order being wrong. Can't ask for more than that. Of course it's always a wager but sometimes it's worth the risk. read more

I came here because I had to drop my car off for maintenance. It was a good experience. They bring your food to the table and the last even came and took my tray. Never seen this happen at a Mickey D'S. The food was good as it gets here. The cashier even told me I could save by getting a meal. It end up being a double versus a single burger but all good. This is a typical McDonald's food wise but service wise, this is terrible. The first time I went to the drive thru, the sprite that was given to me had these black particles that made it undrinkable. I am a door dasher in the area and I have never had people be so rude. I will only go through the drive thru if there is little/no line. They raise their voice and yell to go over to the door (which I did, it was locked on one side of the building) and told me to go around to the other side (the THIRD door) and ring the bell that they take 5 minutes to answer to have me stand in the lobby and wait for 10 more minutes. Ignored me while I was in the store. Also every-time I have come here on my own these people have been equally as rude. I have never had a negative experience while door dashing before but this was awful AND I get frequent orders here sadly. I understand that places are short staffed and stressed with everything going on, but I am sorry it doesn't allow people to speak to others in the manner I have been spoken to. Awful. You can't order inside so drive thru is the only choice here. When we got to the window they said they do not serve soda at that location. What? Went to this McDonald's on Aug 15 2024 and ordered a cheeseburger meal minus the meat, my daughter who is vegetarian was in a hurry to just grab a quick bite. Well the guy that took our order processed to make fun of this by say "omg who orders a cheeseburger with no meat" he said this once we placed the whole order. So as we pulled up to the window to pay there was him and a girl in the area, needles to the girl had to clearly hear him and she played dumb which was just completely insulting and than he played dumb when I told him he literally had no room to be judging anyone... now were they playing dumb or were they completely shocked that I'd call them out... Idk and honestly don't care to know. But the burger was not made with no meat... nope... it literally was cheese, bread a squirt of ketchup... no one said minus onions and pickled... literally would advise people to find a different McDonald's to go to. read more

Still in pandemic season - May 2020. Of the three employees we interacted with at the drive thru, one had a mask only half on (rendering it useless), the other two had no masks. None of them wore gloves. I understand the gloves are less of a concern, but nationally, McDonald's has stated that both masks and gloves will be used by those interacting with customers. We typically have not been displeased with this location, but we now plan to stay away indefinitely. We certainly want to support workers and local businesses, and would be happy to return if these guidelines were being followed, but for now we'll visit businesses that are more strictly adhering to safety protocols. read more

Drive-thru was relatively faster than some other places in Ann Arbor and the lady at the window was super sweet!. I also usually ask for sweet and sour sauce with my french fries and they have never charged me for it or given me a nasty reaction from requesting it. EDIT: I just spoke to a manager and I am confident absolutely nothing will be done about the employee nor the manager since I could not see their name badges through the drive thru speaker and they did not introduce themselves. Yes, she did ask me if I saw either of them. Everything about this place is trash. Trash employees, trash wages. My daughter worked here for 3 months before we made her quit. I picked her up one day and 3 workers were sitting outside of the front door passing a joint. It reeked; I could smell it when I pulled up before I even opened my door. Just last weekend I tried to order from here and someone apparently had no idea how to do his job. I ordered a number 2 deluxe and it just said quarter pounder with cheese, not deluxe. I put that out of my mind and continued with my order. Next was a number 9. The screen just said 1 cheeseburger. I told him I ordered a number 9, and he asked what I wanted to drink. I told him that the screen was wrong and only said 1 cheese burger. He then proceeded to start yelling obscenities at me. Told me to "leave him the fuck alone," " get out of his fucking face" ( I was in the drive thru so I wasn't in his face" and yelled fuck a couple more times. I told him to get his manager and he put the headset down and told another co-worker he was going to "punch me in my fucking throat." I had to wait 10 minutes for the manager to get on, only for her to take the order of the people in the other lane. I demanded something be done about how he just behaved and she assured me he would not be fired and I would not be compensated for what he did. Then she said she would not take my order and dismissed me. I still have no idea what I did to deserve that treatment by anyone except tell him the order was wrong on the screen. I called back to get the franchise owner's information and the same manager said she would not find that information for me and hung up. read more

I eat at a lot of McDonalds and I have to give this one a 5 Star. Very clean and friendly employees. I dropped a dollar and one of the workers found it and returned it to me. I tried to give it to home but refused. It has great atmosphere! I usually hear managers yelling at someone I other McDonalds but the manager here was friendly to customers and employees. My food was cold, fries undercooked and mocha frappe was liquid. Two times the frappe was wrong and when I had to say something the second time the manger said very loud "What does she want now? Also I ordered a Mighty Kid's meal and they gave an extra small drink that goes with the regular kid's meal. I told them it was the wrong size and they insisted it was not. I was just at McDonald's the other day and checked my receipt from a different store and it does indeed list small size drink with a Mighty Kid's meal, not extra small. I asked to have the correct drink and was told I would have to buy an additional drink. I then asked why not just charge me the up charge? I was told there was no such thing as an up charge. Meanwhile they ignored me and left me with no drink at all. Finally the manager whips a drink out the window and tells me she doesn't have time for this. Men's bathroom was terrible and ergonomics of placements was a complete fail. Speed of service was anything but fast Employees looked unkept as half did not have their shirts tucked in. Drink area is in shambles with more than a couple of the lid dispensers broken so they will not dispense. It's location is the only saving reason for its existence.
