I had a craving for an Egg McMuffin on the way to work, so I stopped here...and it was ok. My favorite meal at McDonalds was....underwhelming, and as I was ordering, one employee was running around yelling at everyone behind the counter. (I am guessing the shift leader?) The poor girl who was trying to give me her attention taking my order, looked over her shoulder like she was afraid. Not quite the image that goes with "the best first job" commercial. I did get the meal....and hash browns were soggy, the McMuffin tasted like it was FAR from fresh. This review would have been two stars....BUT the COKE was AMAZING! I was at this McDonalds last week and it may been of the BEST McDonalds experiences that I've had. There was no line, no wait, The Customer Service was really on point. They were exceptionally nice with great manners. I actually thought I was at Chic-Fil-a for a minute. My food and Fries was fresh and hot and it was immediately ready once I reached to the 2nd window when I am just really used to having to pull to the side and wait another five minutes like they are really serving some gourmet food. This McDonalds may be one of the best I've ever been to. Food is always hot and fresh. Their customer service is on par with Chick-fil-A. And today when they brought out my curbside order they had my hash brown wrapped lovingly in a blanket of napkins to keep it warm and brought a tray of assorted condiments for me to select from -- had I wanted anything of the sort. And that's only because I ordered 3 items. Today, I didn't feel like driving & decided to try & give this Mcdonalds another try through Doordash. I was sitting there thinking "okay cool. so we doordash this one" and then I noticed we didn't have fries. I took a drink of what should of been tea only to get a Coke. I never thought I'd write a review for a McDonald's, but this is easily the best McD in the city and I want to give them credit. I've gone here three times at various hours and every time, the food has been freshly made, with steaming hot fries and well-prepared burgers. The staff are friendly, and they're quick. It's rarely crowded and in a convenient location if you're passing through Hampden. If you need a quick bite, this is one of the better options around. read more

I know, it's a McDonald's, but... I've seen employees smoking in front of the entrance to McDonald's. I've reached into the ketchup packet container, and had them all covered in syrup. I've seen a filthy McDonald's, where the service is terrible, and all the employees are a bunch of kids who don't want to be there. But it's the first one I've been to where one of them is in the bathroom, and the rest play pranks on her, and tell the rest of the restaurant she's pooping. read more

I don't take the time to Yelp about a fast food restaurant, but my experiences with this McDonald's compels me to leave this review. This is one of the most ill equipped locations I've ever seen. They claim to have no capacity for even simple things like special coffee drinks. I use the drive through on the occasions I've patronized this location. When I asked for a breakfast sandwich with no meat, the poor cashier wanted to charge me extra. I refused to allow that to happen. Drove to the payment window only to be informed that they weren't equipped to handle debit transactions...cash only. If I actually made it to the pickup window, I would have been annoyed again. I've ordered coffee at other McDonald's locations. Typically, someone asks what I want in the coffee. Never here! They throw packets in a bag...that causes me to have to stop on Falls road to mix coffee...kind of defeats the purpose of using the drive-through. The young people who work there are actually quite friendly. They seem to understand that they work at a bad location. With Royal Farms, DD and similar establishments nearby, I'm surprised this McDonald's hasn't stepped up their game. read more

I don't know if ppl actually use Yelp for McDonald's lol. I had a great experience here today, and wanted to give praise where it's due. After giving a complicated order for multiple people through the drive thru, I realized as we were at the second window (after having paid) that I forgot an order of fries!! After we had already received the food I asked if I could add an order of fries and they kindly and quickly gave us an order for free! WOW. shockingly poor service :( I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and a diet soda. They left me sitting at the window for at least five entire minutes ("1 Mississippi" x 60 x 5) even though there was no one else in the drive-thru or ordering inside. the bread was stale, they forgot to butter the bread, burnt the bread (but the cheese was cold??), and forgot the meat for the sandwich. the soda didn't taste like diet and there were chunks of ice so big that I couldn't put a straw in. I didn't see inside, but how my order came out made it seem like there must be chaos behind the scenes. I decided my food might not be safe to finish so I threw it out :(( read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for 10 years and this has to be the worst McD's on the east coast. They rarely have the items on the menu listed to serve the customer. It's been like 2 years since they've had a damn strawberry milkshake. Every time I ask they tell there out but they have vanilla. Yesterday I had a coupon for some free fries and drink if I bought the new buttermilk chicken tenders. I went in at 6:30pm and the manager was like we are out of chicken tenders. Hey guys can you please learn how to cook a Burger. I sent mine back because it looks like it was deep-fried...yesterday. Five minutes later an employee brings the food out to me, and I'm 99% sure it was the same burger that they just dunked in water to give the appearance of a juicy burger. It was horrible. The drive-thru employees could not be bothered to ask me if I wanted condiments, respond to my "thank you," or even look at me, actually. The Sausage Mc'Muffin is a dollar and so are the hash browns and if you get a Sweet or Unsweet tea that's only 3 dollars for breakfast. The worst start to my morning. I never had issues here until today! I decided to go into the store because the drive thru line was fairly long. I ordered my food and was going on my way when I noticed the lid to my hotcakes and sausage was off and the sausage was half out. No big deal, I will just bring to staff attention and they will replace and I will move on. NOPE! I told the front manager that the lid was off and she was cool and sent to the back for a new one. This time around I wanted to look at how the back was going to handle. As I thought, they just slide the food into another platter. I quickly told them no, please replace that, the food was slipping out when placed in bag and it has touched many unsanitary things while being handled(hands, shirts, bags, etc). So, the manager(different one from front manager) asked what I was talking about. I calmly explained and he just blatantly lied and said he did not slide the old one unto the plate and that he took new ones out the bag he held up. The bag he held up was actually uncooked hotcakes. By that time, things got really heated and very loud because by then he is making me out to be a liar. I informed him this big hole I observed him through with another mcdonald's worker and I am pretty tall. So,I watched your every move and what he was about to do. I asked for my money back and told all front crew that I will take the coffee because that was done properly, however, I want my money back for the hotcakes. Hy yells from the back yes give her her money back. By then, the whole entire crew has basically stopped what they were doing to watch things unfold. The front manager came to me and said she was sorry and I simply told her, it was not her fault, her crew did their job and unfortunately it was the asshole behind who messed it up. My meal was divine. A Big Mac, filled with ingredients that when combined, put a tear to my eye. My medium fountain beverage inspired me to compose a series of symphonic pieces that evoked emotions rawer than my under cooked Big Mac. The fries? Please. They speak for themselves. Allow me to quote the renowned Romantic era author Percy Bysshe Shelley, "Yeah, they're 'aight." As I grew nearer to finishing my meal, I felt a sense of dread the likes of which are not often seen. The thought of moving on from this gourmet food was not a reality I was prepared to confront. Being a man in touch with my emotions, I had no problem weeping into my greasy booth seats.
