Usually I dont expect much from a McDonalds. Because well, its a McDonalds. But this specific location is either corrupted, have zero common decency or they just overall suck. I work in the food business, I understand customer service and everything that comes along with it. However, this place is literally garbage. Straight garbage. The food is best at mediocre - only reason why I order fries is because the packaged ranch dipping sauce makes it more edible. While many others commented down below about their service - all I can say is that I fully agree with them. One woman said she had to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru line and if you think thats crazy, imagine waiting in that line for 45 - FORTY FIVE - minutes!!!! The only reason why I stayed was because I had not eaten during that day and I had some free time on my hands before I went home. I did not imagine an eight piece nugget with fries and a drink took almost an hour to make...for a fast food restaurant. I am so sorry to the people who have seen the worst though, whether that be a man taking a shit outside during his shift or having to deal with the rude people and HAVING TO WAIT FOR THEM. Not only that, but when I knew I was better off just getting my meal after waiting for almost an hour, and leaving this very nice review, there would be several cars that would drive off from the line. Im assuming because of the wait or they were never tended to (this has happened many times!!. Its embarrassing and disgusting for this establishment to be open and unapologetic for their behavior towards customers because it seems as though the bad reviews have been happening for years. This McDonald's is conveniently located, but several times I've been there they were out of Milkshakes (Huh?) and they always seem to be understaffed. They are not Fast Food, they are just Food. read more

They are the rudest people ever working there! I ordered 2 chicken nugget meals and was told they had no soda but had sweet tea. They charged me extra for the sweet tea but I told them I was entitled to a drink with my value meal and they told me that they had no drinks and I was told that. I talked to the manager who was just as rude. I didn't mind paying a little extra for the sweet tea but it wasn't my fault their soda machine was broken and in the meal I was paying for a soda that they couldn't give me. it was ridiculous to be charged almost $18 for 2 Chicken nugget meals. Went to the McDonald's on 7/21 Literally witnessed one of the cooks take shit out of the garbage and put it back and then when I tried to get my money back they tried to deny it but I literally saw it with my own two eyes. Needed to grab a fast dinner and went to the drive-in. I was first in line on one of two lanes. There was someone at the other lane and someone pulling up. Both placed their orders, and another car pulled up, that cars order was taken, and then the next and as the next was being taken I beeped my horn. Nothing. There was at least 4 cars behind me. So I drove around and went inside. I told then that there was a problem at the drive-in and they did nothing. I asked if they were going to see what the problem was and I was told that they were too busy to check! Inside there were beepers going off like crazy and service was very slow. This isn't the first time service at this location was sub-par. Always new people it seems, and understaffed. read more

As per usual, the drive through took over 20 minutes and I was the second one in line. I got my large drink which was dripping soda from a young staff member with an attitude. My "large" fries was halfway full, and to top it off, there were no napkins or straw in the bag. This place is literally the WORST McDonald's around. I live in Boonton and use this McDonald's a few times a month and have NEVER had a problem with it. But I always use the drive thru and that might make the difference. The food is always hot, the service is always friendly and the wait is not bad. read more

I usually pass through this location on my way home from work at night, but I won't be returning. I am a food manager & never complain-- I understand that there's cleaning tasks or call outs, but I consistently receive poor service from this location. With no customers in the drive-thru line, it takes 20 minutes for my regular 2 item order of french fries & a Coke. This is not a one off, it happens so frequently, that I can only recall 1 occasion where I didn't sit in the drive-thru line for more than 10 minutes. However, last night was unacceptable. I pulled into the drive-thru & observed 2 employees standing outside the backroom door in the parking lot, smoking. One of them was wearing a headset & I watched him from the speaker box proceed to take my order while smoking outside! As I pulled up to the window, no one was present & I waited a few minutes before a female employee appeared. She took my credit card & disappeared into the back for a while, out of sight. This is extremely unsettling, why would she need to take my card away from the register? When she returned, she told me the credit card system was down, handing me my card. I left without my order & any explanation. I contacted their corporate office with this, so hopefully I will hear a response, since I feel like I should be worried about the staff stealing my credit card information based off of last night's behavior. read more

Went there on a thursday night..Hamburgers tasted stale and horrible according to my husband..I am a Vegetarian so I asked about the egg mcmuffin was told no meat by 2 people. The food is good.. Sometimes. It's either really good or really bad. I've noticed that whenever I get food after midnight (dinner time for me) the food is absolutely horrid. The food is always cold. DO NOT COME HERE LATE. It says 24 hours drive through but you wait 30 minutes n your order is still not ready. That's because they only have 1 worker their and he's slow and gives attitude. I don't understand why they can't hire more People or don't leave it open 24 hours because people end up leaving before their orders ready because it's never ready. This is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. We went tonight. First thing, the bathroom smelled like ass, almost threw up. The manager was there so she was seeing everything that was going on. There was someone in front of us in line that was having problems with her order. She was needing a refund. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers, ketchup only, a medium fry, a large Diet Coke, 2 chocolate chip cookies, and a bottle of water. The dumb girl taking the order says, you want the pick 2? I said no and I repeated my order 2 more times. She finally repeated 2 cheeseburgers,ketchup only. I said yes and a medium fry, large Diet Coke, 2 chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of water. She says that they are out of chocolate chip cookies. We said then an Oreo mcflurryand she says the machine isn't working. So we pay and she hands my husband a large drink cup and points to the sofa machine.He goes over and the ice machine isn't working. She has to get it from the drive thru. She doesn't tell anyone that the ice machine wasn't working and it needs to be fixed. She hands me my bag and I unwrap my first cheeseburger and there Are onions and pickles on it. I show her and check the other one. It was made right. She takes my cheeseburger to the back to have it fixed. I finally get to my car to eat it and it was inedible. The fries were tough and cold, the cheeseburgers were tough and cold. It was a horrible experience. They need to fire everyone and start over. read more

The service is ridiculously slow. Although they do occasionally mess up orders, this is nowhere close to the greatest inconvenience. Almost every time I am at the drive thru, I think it would be faster to drive to a mcdonalds in another town to order. Other frustrated drive thru customers often leave without reaching the first window, sick of waiting 10+ minutes before even reaching the window to pay for food. read more

1st Review ever for me. One star is way to high but it's as low as I can go. I live within a mile so I find myself stopping in. Why I have no idea. I went in the other day with no one else there and waited 5 minutes for coffee. I've walked out several times being second in line FOREVER. It seems like anything you order is the first time they've heard of that item and they have to figure out how to produce one of those. Order a Big Mac and they seem to be confused as to who should do what at that time. I'm looking for John Quinonez to come out and ask What would you do? Compared with any other McD I have ever been at this should be knocked down and rebuilt with new ownership, managers,and employees. The worst freakin mcdonalds ever. Being a Boonton Resident for over 15 years, there is one place you don't want to go.. First off, the staff is incompentent, and rude, and people who call them self "shift leaders" don't know how to make an ice cream cone with out licking their hand and retouching the cone after they spilt ice cream on there hand. Second of all....... FAST FOOD, not at all. They have 2 drive through lanes, which has now made it slower. You wait about 10 minutes to get to the 1st window to pay, and then another 10 minutes because no one knows how to make change, and then by the time you get up to the 2nd window to get food, its about 40 minutes after the fact from when you pulled in. read more

Don't. Go. Here. Ever! Should have checked Yelp first as I have since found out my experience matched others seen on here. The men's toilets were disgusting. The urinal was blocked off as out of order and there was a pool, literally a pool of urine in the only stall. The seat was smeared with hardened something...I can only assume it was faeces. Fortunately I only needed to pee. What added insult to injury was the bold sign on the door stating "We Care....these bathrooms are checked every 30 minutes". The s**t appeared so hardened and the urine so deep, I can only assume 30 days was the norm. According to my wife, the women's bathroom was in a similar state. We did attempt to let the manager know, but were ignored as she was busy serving at the drive thru window. We should have known better based on the bathrooms, but hunger overcame common sense........I think the quality of the food has been described succinctly enough without my having to reinforce just how bad it was. If you are in the area and forced to go Mcdonalds.....DON'T. GO. HERE!!! Shame there's no negative rating! read more
