Writing this as I sit in the drive thru and it has now been 14 minutes and still no food and no one has moved in line. This McDonald's needs new management or just SOMETHING! The drive thru takes about 30 mins with only 3 cars.. And I'm only writing this review based on multiple visits not just one visit to make things more fair. Every time i come here to grab some breakfast there is always something missing !!! I'd rather drive a few more minutes to the one by target next time so that I get everything I pay for. Came home and of course something went wrong. As you can see I asked for Bbq sauce and sweet and sour. Well I didn't get EITHER !!! Instead they gave me ranch. How hard is it to read an order and get it right !? It's hard to understand these type of people when they want to get paid $15 an hour but can't seem to follow simple directions. This is McD of choice on my way home from work. Out of all the McDs off I-5S and I-99S, I pick this one because the other closer to home do not make their food items right. At least at this McD, they know how to salt their fries. However, this has a busy drive thru almost every Friday night. So far, I haven't had any issues with the staff or food at this McD until the other night. They forget an item of mine when I ordered through the drive thru. I drove away and once I got home, they forgot it and I was furious. I called and called and no one answered. Eventually I got hold of someone and they definitely understood. I still like this McD and hope they don't mess up orders usually. I think the employee was distracted because he told me my nuggets will be ready shortly so I thought they had my fries ready, but they didn't. read more

Walked to our local McDonalds with my toddler and I was not happy with the cleanliness. The floors had garbage everywhere and tables not cleaned off which was hard for me to find a clean table for us. The service was friendly and great which always are when I go through the drive thru. Should also focus on presentation. Hopefully on our next walk in visit it will look better. read more

This should have been written when I patronized this McDonald's back on Saturday, 12/02/18, but am writing to say what a wonderful experience I had when in this location! It was immensely clean, very modernized, and all staff was most gracious. Dayja was the young lady who helped me with my order and she was so kind, great communication skills, knew the menu (to help me with my order), and had terrific eye contact with a smile -- rare to see this these days. Ordered 2 hot fudge sundae using promotion on app of buy one get one for 0.29 after picking my kids from preschool, they were so excited but soon that turned into disaster after I received 1 sundae which was perfectly fine but the second one was made by Andrian (he said he was the GM) and the sundae he made had less ice cream in it which I honestly don't mind but my kids would start fighting with one having visibly more ice cream then the other, and I told Andrian to please add equal amount to the one he made and said it is the accurate amount as he has to weight each ice cream and he also said that the first ice cream was made incorrectly by the employee and his way was the right way. I told him I understand but 2 toddlers won't understand corporate rules and will cry over this and he goes to say "Well you are already getting one of the ice cream for 0.29 which is pretty much free so you shouldn't really complain about how much I give you" at this point I was offended, I said, well you guys had the promotion doesn't mean I wouldnt or couldnt pay for 2 sundae but its a simple request to resolve kids from fighting and Adrian goes to say "that's not a my issue, I have to look out for the business, I am the GM here and I am teaching them the right way to do things". Now my question for Mcdonalds is that you advertise kids friendly and welcoming and then there is this person who was just being so difficult and rude over some simple ice cream. Mcdonalds is known to have broken ice cream machines half the time and the time its working, there will be a GM who wants to be more difficult than toddlers? This was pathetic service at most. By the time he was done giving me attitude, the ice creams melted and instead of a fun time to get ice cream after preschool, it turned out to be upsetting experience. Fast and friendly service but they forgot to put in the honey packet that I ordered to go with the chicken McNuggets.

I ordered my little brother a hamburger happy meal. Opened the box for him and it came with the hamburger unwrapped and looks like it was biten multiple times. Yesterday, i got him a 6 piece chicken nugget and there was only 3 pieces in there. Looks like their staff has been eating the food prior to giving it to their customers. read more

I, occasionally, come to his McDonalds. The service is not great. Last time I went, I ordered a large fry. When I got home, I noticed that they had barely put enough for it to be considered a small fry. You couldn't see the fries if you looked straight at the container instead of looking in it. I saw the reviews for this place, but maybe that was just a time thing. It seems a lot are complaints so I will throw in a compliment or two. This McDonald's seems to have hired anyone who is upbeat and happy to provide good service and attitude. You hear their voice and see their faces and they are happy. I have not been served anything messy or odd. I mean it's not a Michelin star restaurant people. Great job to all who work there for keeping a smile and doing your best. This location is by far is one of the best I have ever been to! They are consistent with the quality of their food and their service. The food is always on point, served fresh and hot! Thought I would give this McDonalds another try since I was only ordering ice cream, Mistake! Ordered 2 Sundaes for almost $5 , paid and waited. Handed my ice cream with no nuts, "Oh we don't have any," was what I was told. You should have mentioned that when I ordered, I would have paid .79 for a cone instead of $3+ extra for caramel sauce. Tonight I asked if there was sauce in the bag and the person told me there was, so I drove off like an idiot believing them even though i know there probably isn't... There was no sauce in the bag. I just don't understand this place. When we first started eating here a few years ago, they always got our orders wrong. It never failed that something was missing, whether it was the happy meal toy, the dipping sauce, or an entire order of fries. We never left the drive thru without checking our bag thoroughly. The sixth time, we finally got a mistake in our favor, so I kept it as some kind of mcd karma. But it didn't stop them from taking 20 to give us our food. This place was recently renovated. Why, I have no idea. It was already newishly remodeled. It was closed for months as they added computer screens for kids to play games. News flash- the physical setting is not what's wrong with this store! My kids are older now, and even they joke about how it's supposed to be fast food, not slow food. Why does it take 15 min to get us our nuggets, fries, and filet o fish in the evening with two other customers. Pretty sure it doesn't take even that long to cook. Maybe they do it in serial because they only own one fryer? It's probably just as well since we shouldn't be eating here anyway. read more

This is the slowest drive thru in the world. I'm sitting in line right now as I write this. It's been about 20 minutes, and four cars behind me gave up and left. Mobile order doesn't work because every item is unavailable. Completely unacceptable. Went to try a mobile order a week later. No one brought the food out after 20 minutes. Me and my boyfriend just went to order 2 sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffins and when we got home we immediately noticed that it smelt very gross. We looked closer and saw a green/blue/grey substance within both egg patties. Not sure what it was but based off the color and smell, it was safe to assume it was very bad. Came here while on a road trip to Tahoe. Upon parking and stepping out of my vehicle I noticed a porta potty smell throughout the parking lot. The heat from the area intensified the smell. The restaurant was clean inside and the food was good. I tried the new Bacon Smokehouse burger. Very tasty, I would order again. I was distracted by how many employees have band aids on their nose. I would have found it more appropriate to just see a nose piercing if that is what it covered up. A booger hanging out of their nose would be less distracting. read more

Consistently great service especially for a fast food chain. The employees are almost always respectful and the food is always fresh and great. We do always ask for fresh fries or fresh nuggets when we order but they never give us any issues about it and always oblige happily. read more

The female with Black hair and blonde tips who takes orders in the window was so rude, when she talks she sounds like we are annoying her and making her day hard. She not only mixed up our order twice but also questions like "I'm sorry what you say?" Or "what?" Nice location, now the people around here can drive shorter distances for their big mac and lard filled fries... It's really clean and modern inside, check it out. It is weird how the restrooms are in the middle of the restaurant, not secluded at all. The drive thru is really efficient and there's a great plus side. It isn't a secluded drive thru where you have to stay in that line, because it's just a lane that wraps around the back of the building... so if you change your mind and don't feel like getting fat today, you can easily turn out of the lane and get on your way to the gym! If you don't know what I mean, just give it a try. Drive here, bike here, jogg here, walk here... just don't order calorie massive meals please. I rarely write reviews but wanted to share my experience that I had today. I'm standing in line and there's an employee taking orders. The place is not busy. The employee takes one order and then waits for the order to be completed before taking the next. While we are waiting another customer leaves. We have yet to be acknowledged. Another employee who appears to be on break walks up to the register with her wallet in hand. She then motions to another employee and proceeds to place an order of hash browns in front on me. I told all of them that we are in line and had yet to even be acknowledged. All we got was a dumb look. Never ever going back here read more

Typically the lines in Sac can be ridiculous but this drive through had a super friendly and efficient staff that made the line fly by! Not to mention they got my order correct (most times i go to other McDonald's my order is wrong or missing stuff) I definitely recommend this location! read more

ELK GROVE - What was supposed to have been a happy meal at a McDonald's restaurant turned unhappy for a woman eating with a group of mentally disabled adults. "They're people like we're people, so they shouldn't be discriminated against," said Constance Gastinell who works with developmentally disabled adults through programs that help integrate them into the community. Gastinell sometimes takes some of the adults to a McDonald's on Elk Grove Boulevard for lunch, but the last time they were there she says the owner kicked them out. "He came in and he said, 'well you guys, you can't eat here, you have to leave.'" She said the owner told her they couldn't stay because they were conducting 'business.' "We weren't conducting business. We came into eat. We had no paperwork; we had money to buy," said Gastinell. But McDonalds says there was no discrimination. In a statement issued to News10, Dennis and Vicki Caldwell, the local owners of the restaurant, said, This recent situation involved a food fight within their group, and disruption to our other guests. The Caldwells added it wasn't the first time such an incident has occurred. We have consistently attempted to work with these guests and accommodate their needs as best we can, their statement read. Gastinell says there was no food fight and her group was well behaved. "We went in to eat. We weren't disruptive," she said. She feels they were told to leave because they were mentally disabled. "I did feel as though they were targeting us, although he [the owner] says that he wasn't. Being kicked out, how else are you supposed to feel?" Gastinell said. Soon after she was asked to leave, she rounded up her clients and left. She wants others to understand the stigma that surrounds people with disabilities. "When you see them hurt, it hurts you. That's why it's personal," said Gastinell. While Gastinell says she will continue to defend her clients, she no longer plans on going to the Elk Grove restaurant. News10/KXTV - Having a mentally disabled daughter, Kathryn (pictured), this story drove me out of my mind. People have no idea how hard it is, just to go out to a store or restaurant or anywhere. We get the stares and the looks, sometimes from children, more often from adults. We've all seen the group of four or five disabled folks being assisted by a health care worker, going around a store to get some things or sitting at your local restaurant, just wanting to be like everyone else. I wish Elk Grove were closer, I'd like to chat with their manager. I hope "big" McDonalds is paying attention to this particular franchise, as how individual restaurants and employees treat guests is a direct reflection of the organization as a whole. read more

This has got to be one of the worst McDonalds ever. The owners should seriously consider hiring someone with at least some competence to manage this place. The staff are ill trained and ridiculously slow. Each visit, you can expect some sort of a wait. Waiting on the fries to be ready, or coffee to be made...etc If your meal has fries and you're one of those weird ones who likes to have it with ketchup, make sure you ask. Because they will NEVER include them. This is the first time where a McDonalds is this poorly operated. I can't blame the staff as they are generally nice. I'm glad they open this location right off of I5 on Elk Grove. This location has always gotten my orders correct as do most McDonalds would always forget something in my bag. The lines here are usually very long at the Drive thru and its usually a pretty long wait. I for one has always been a big fan of the "Big Mac". Who isn't?
