It's a Mc Donald's. There are locations (El Segundo) where the burgers come right off the grill hot and juicy to the customer and here where they typically are sitting around for a while. Never ever gotten a hot burger from here ever. Cheese on a cheese burger is not melted at all. Breakfast burritos are a gamble if getting one stale/cold to freshly made. No consistency with quality on those. Just bite the hard end off and toss it like a grenade and it will be fine. ORDER WITH THE APP and only the app and you will get exactly what you wanted every time. Verbal orders can be hit or miss and require a mandatory inventory of the bag before leaving. read more

Even with drive thru and picking up my mobile order there was still a long line. Plus they got my order wrong. I went to pick up and they gave me someone else's order and also asked for payment. The usual McDonald's experience (re menu, prices, wait time, etc.). But the bright spot here is Gladys. She's terrific! So very friendly. She's polite, professional and efficient. This was my first time at this location here in Foothill Ranch, Ca. Apparently this location just opened up again after some remodeling of some sort. They do have quite a few regular customers. I showed up around 9:45 am and a lot of the regular customers were talking about the remodel and how nice it looks now. The restaurant look nice and clean inside, but the soda machine could've used a wipe or two. No biggie! Well lid inside with a kids playground. Food was good, McDonald's good! Alfredo (Manager) does a great job running this McDonalds fast food restaurant. The food is consistent and to McDonald's standards. The French fries are delicious. The employee at drive through is named Fatu. She always gets my order right! The restaurant is very clean. If you do not have it already, I reccomend signing up for the McDonald's app. Foothill Ranch McDonald's has great mobile app deals and rewards. I wanted something quick on-the-go so I stopped in at this McDonald's at Foothill Ranch. The BOGO deals probably influenced my decision too. There was only 1 customer waiting for his order when I arrived, but 5/6 parties showed up when I finished my order at the kiosk. I still can't figure out how to order a senior coffee at the kiosk so I had to order it at the counter. Food wise, it is your typical McDonald's so no surprise there. Everyone was just standing around waiting for our orders, myself included, when there are open tables. No sure that's an unspoken rule or just preference. read more

Terrible location. Our orders are always an issue with them. The one on Santa Margarita is much easier. This last visit was our last. Again we had an issue. We ordered 2 of the $6 deals. Asked for cheeseburgers to be pickle ONLY, NO ketchup or onions. Got ketchup only. Drive back to location to tell them and the manager, Alberto said there was nothing they could do about it. I had the Big Mac. It's awesome. It's better than a burger from in n out because it doesn't drip juices everywhere. Between using the app and drive through and walk in, they have to change the process. The system is confusing to customers and employees. I do like they show what's going on with your order so you can know where you are at in the queue. The employees here are highly stressed but super friendly. Nice again it took 20 min in the drive through with only 3 cars in front of me. I put in a mobile order which they received but when I went to the second window to get the food, the guy asked me what I ordered. When I told him him, he walked away for 7 min without saying and when he finally came back, all he said was 'waiting for the scrambled eggs' then walked away for another 7 min and when he came back, it even a 'sorry for the wait', just shoved the food in my hand. Very Disappointed, almost every time I come in. Today I went through the drive through and ordered for my family of four. First off, they gave us two napkins. I also asked for extra pickles on my burger and they gave me NONE. I had to drive to the front and go in because I realized it after I pulled away and went in and asked for three containers of pickles. The guy came back with only one. This location does a very poor job of managing social distancing inside the business. There is a line to order food, which is marked for social distancing. After placing your order, everyone piles up near the pickup area. They've completely blocked off the rest of the area. Then when you leave, you must walk closely past everyone in line waiting to place their order. They should make more use of the space that's blocked off and just restrict access to sitting at the tables, not to the available standing space. read more

Guy gave me a "receipt " that had nothing on it. The person I told about the fries asked me what I paid (since the receipt didn't have the order information on it). I told him about it was about $12.50 so he said I didn't pay for the fries. I told him I still wanted the fries of course. He charged me for the fries and their error. I got home and cheese on all 3 sandwiches. Great customer service and accuracy...sarcasm of course. I see there are negative reviews but haven't had a single bad experience at this location once. Today you could tell they were short staffed but still able to help customers. Supervisor himself tried to hop on the register and after a little work was able to place my order. Business is always clean, employees are always friendly, and the main Hispanic lady (Gladys?) is always working so hard every time I come for lunch. Along with many other families in the area it seems! Keep in mind that when the community and this McDonald's was built, the area was far less populated than it is now. This McDonald's was never intended to be high volume, or to serve as many people as it does now. But the people come, in droves - and the workers are overworked, stressed out, and make mistakes. Sometimes it can take a long time to get your order. Although I have to say, they do a pretty remarkable job of getting things right for the volume of business they do. When you finally do get your order, chances are the food will be fresh because people buy the food as fast as they can make it.
