I went in to get me a Big Mac bundle. I said may I please have a Big Mac bundle. The young lady look at me with her empty face expression for what felt like the most awkward 20 seconds of my life. Then she said"okay" then proceeded to stare weirdly at me for another 10 seconds. "Any sauce?" She asked. No thanks I replied. She again stared and me for another 15 seconds. Not in a rude way kinda like a NPC It felt like she was looking right through me. I asked again "how much will that be?" She stared at me for another 20seconds with no response! At this point I'm kinda weirded out. Finallyyyy she told me how much it was I paid got my food and sat down. It was until I looked over my shoulder and I saw there was an elderly woman wanting to order. She did the same thing. Stared at her for 20 seconds. But then she yelled "oh wow! I did not see you standing there" how do you not see someone that is literally standing right in front of you??? You're losing business, Holbrook McDonald's....stop requiring your surly employees to force customers to use the kiosk... We walked in to order 1 large drink....that's it! There's no one in line. Literally, the place is a ghost town. Instead of taking our order, the employee directs us to the automatic kiosk. Which, of course, takes much longer than ordering with her, because you still have to pay at the counter after dealing with the machine. We asked if we could just get a quick drink from her by ordering at the counter. She refused. Her attitude was crappy. We left. The end. read more

Brand new McDonalds minutes off a busy section of I-40 in a town without a lot of fast food options. What could possibly go wrong? Well, for starters the bathrooms are hilariously under sized. There are now two place I can think of where there is a line for the Men's room. IT conferences and this McDonalds. Men's room had one toilet, one urinal, one sink and a line of 5 guys. Women's room must have had 10 ladies patiently waiting. I also had to wait a long time to get our food. When it was ready I had to ask for the drinks, so double check your bag before you leave. Better yet, keep driving. If McDonalds is your go-to road trip stop hold out for another location. This is the worst one I have ever been in. I did not enjoy burning 30 minutes here... read more

Been to this McDonald's twice while roadtripping, about a month apart, and we like to call this the best McDonalds in the world! Service is friendly, they do ask you to pull up to cut down on their window time, but the food has been fresh and hot EVERY TIME. This is the first place I have ever had a fresh hot filet o fish where you can tell it was just made. Our burgers were hot, our fries were hot, everything was on point! read more

I stopped at this McDonald's on a weekday night. Possibly the slowest drive-thru service that I've ever had at a McDonalds. The cashier, possibly the manager (dressed nicely in a button down shirt), told me to pull forward and wait for my order. I waited nearly 15-minutes and they got my order wrong! All of the waiting spots for the drive-thru were full. They are very quick to take your order (and money!), but very slow to fulfill orders. read more

Horrible service!! We ordered for chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches to go. On the outskirts of the town the kids took a bite of their sandwiches and there was no meat! Had to turn around and took the sandwiches back in. I asked the manager for all the trouble could they put in a order of fries ... nope can't do that ! Wow you make your customers drive back to fix your mess up but can't offer fries or a drink? I'll pass by the next time in town and go to a customer friendly establishment. read more

Service not that great. Fries were gross and way overcooked. The place was overall clean. This McDonald's is higher priced than those of the Phx area, but that's probably because it's in a small town and why not gouge the people of Holbrook and it's passerby's? I didn't think McDonald's could mess up fries or they need to change their oil. The fries were got were gross and overcooked. I returned the fries and saw them fries a new batch of fries and these were really no better. We ate some, but threw the rest away. Thankfully we didn't buy more than 1 order of fries. One of last McDonalds you want to visit. This place has a tiny restroom so just hope you are the only who gets the idea to stop here when needing a bio-break driving on I-40. Managers are slow. Service is gossipy with locals and will make you wait. Don't expect a smiling face or any food with the normal speed. There are a few other fast food places on the same street. I'm used to more robotic service at McD's, but cashier Lawanda was great, friendly, smiling and a champ at delivering great customer service! Really--is there a shortage of mustard and ketchup so they can't manage to put more than a smidgen of each on their burgers?? This is one of the worst McDonald's I have been to. There were at least 7 open tables that had not been cleaned. They only had one cash register, one urinal, one sink. Only one person was doing all the clean up. Garbages, tables tidying up. Nice guy but it shouldn't be up to one person. They only had one register with one guy working the front so if you needed something you had to wait again in line to get something. Which you had to go to the register line because they didn't have anything accessible other than the drink fountain and ketchup. So if you needed napkins, sale, pepper, sauce or an order was messed up everyone was waiting in the same line. Absolutely inefficient and terrible. What would normally take 15min took 40. Workers were so lazy today they didn't want to make any more breakfast so they stopped serving early. Everyone in line was asking for breakfast and their menus hadn't even changed over yet. Literally the worst McDonald's I've ever been. Now granted it's McDonalds, but this one was especially bad. For starters the bathroom was filthy, then on top of that every order (5-6) that was placed while I waited for 10 minutes for my fish sandwich, including mine once I finally got it were screwed up. When I took it back up to the counter after checking it and told them I didn't have 10 minutes to wait for them to screw up another order so I'd pay for my drink but wanted my money back, the manager actually refunded my money minus the drink. Really!?!? I said I'd pay for it, but the fact that he actually charged me for it after that long of a wait for a screwed up order kinda surprised me. The food and decor are great. The help here is beyond stupid. I asked for two egg mcmuffin meals and asked for no ham. After I was given the receipt, I asked did you make sure there was no meat? He said no, but I can tell them. After eating my meal, I asked a cashier for a to go bag. A blonde young female cashier said she would have to ask a manager. I asked her why? She said they don't give away free stuff. I let her know it's not free, I had a meal here. The manager okayed the so called free bag. It's very clear this location has hired complete idiots. My husband and I stopped in for an early lunch on our way back to Phoenix. The store just started using the computerized ordering and it was very inefficient. First you order, then if you want to pay cash, you get in line. By the time you figure out the ordering system it is no big deal to have your order delivered to our table. I can't imagine this being an orderly process when it gets busy, as it does at lunch time and it fills with seniors. There are only four kiosks so, one way or the other, you will be waiting in line. We don't think we will go back. Might as well go to Burger King. read more

$1 coffee, 9 cents tax, no cockroaches today. Complaints of high prices are probably due to local tax rates and location far from distribution centers. Hopefully corporate got on their case re: cockroach on the counter. Boric acid powder and speedy trash removal along with good hygiene will fix that right up. Definitely not easy on,easy off. Food was terrible. Most expensive McDonald's I've ever been to. Over $9.00 for two breakfast sandwiches--one McGriddle and one Sausage biscuit. Had sat so long under warmer that biscuit had melted into sausage, but cheese was cold and not melted--go figure. Never stop here. Move on down the road to find a better McDonalds. You know, I wouldn't have been so disappointed had I not witnessed the interaction between two employees, which resulted in my incorrect, to-go order. The manger bagging it, asked the girl you made it, "fish sandwich with extra tartar sauce?", to which she replied, "extra tartar sauce?". At this point, I assumed the younger girl would fix her mistake and we'd be all set. A minute or so later, they call our number, and we take our bag and leave. What do you know? No extra tartar sauce. I was more disappointed at the lack of ownership and the carelessness of letting the order go out the door, knowing it was wrong, then the actual order being wrong. First of all, I have been to lots of mcdonalds restaraunts and none of them are this expensive. They expected me to pay $30 for 3 meals which in my opinion is way over what it should be at a mcdonalds. So I ask the cashier in the drive thru to tell me what was so expensive and she very rudely explained to me my order so I removed a few things from my order and got the price down to $26. I pulled up to the next window and got my food. I asked for ketchup and was given about 3 packets so I asked for more and he then rolled his eyes and handed me the entire bin for me to get my own. Absolutely horrible service! Went through the drive-thru during a long drive from New Mexico to California. The person on the intercom was not the friendliness, but I could handle it. Payed at the first window and the same woman was less than polite. No smile. Nothing. Went to the second window and waited for 2 minute before I saw anyone. The woman came to the window, handed me my bag of yuck, said "Thank you" (real quick), and shut the window. I drove around to leave, handed my daughter her food in the backseat, and noticed that I didn't have any fries. I don't like McDonald's, in fact, I've boycotted this establishment for years, but I was desperate on a long drive. Back to the story, I went in and said that I didn't received my fries with my meal. The rude "Native American" at the counter, who had just handed me my food at the window, said she needed to see my receipt. I didn't have time nor patience for this nonsense. It was storming outside and I didn't want to go back and forth. She said she would ask the woman at the first window what I ordered. Three minutes later, she came back saying that she only charged me for the hamburger and drink. ?? Umm, nooooo! I argued with her and she stood her ground. Zero customer service! Come one, it's a medium fry! I went back to my truck, found the receipt in the door, and marched back in! It said in black and white $6.29 for a MEAL! The man behind the counter looked at the receipt, then slowly made his way to the fries, filled up my fry container, and then slowly made his way back to me. I thanked him and the other concerned employee standing nearby and got the heck out of Holbrook! I know I don't live there, but I will NEVER be back! This is our hometown McDonald's and I may never go back. This morning was the third order in a row that this franchise has gotten incorrect. I ordered something, received an incorrect item, and when I told the staff that this was not what I wanted, I was first met with silence and a blank face and then informed by someone else that what I wanted was a different charge. The fact that nobody tried to even correct this order was the last straw on this camel's back when it comes to terrible customer service at this franchise.
