The restaurant was clean, although looked well-used. It is a very small McD's with only two cash registers. No. Do not go here if you are hungry, or even just wanting what could pass for any kind of normal service. Just keep driving, and find yourself another option. ANY other option. I had the misfortune of visiting this McDonald's twice on my recent trip to Kanab. The first time, we went through the drive-through to get 2 coffees, and while we were worried we'd be late for a meeting because things went so slowly, otherwise things were fine, if a bit strange (the guy handed us our coffees...and then just disappeared for a minute or so, before remembering that he should come back and actually get MONEY from us for them). Ok... The second time, my husband and I went into the building, and that was a HUGE mistake. As we exited our car, I saw a dead mouse in the parking lot - gross. Really makes me question the cleanliness of the establishment, although after a 15 minute wait for 2 coffees and a single breakfast sandwich, I began to think that maybe the poor mouse had actually starved to death waiting for his order. The service was poor, at best. The guy at the front counter kept taking order after order, not filling any of them, and then wandering around aimlessly as the people waiting got increasingly irate. One woman asked for her money back and he whined "there are only 2 of us up here"! Meanwhile, the drive-through orders were being processed, but no one up front was being served. When we finally got our order (again, a 15 minute wait for 2 coffees and a breakfast sandwich), it was wrong. Big surprise there. Big Mac is quite dry, cheese and meat are dry. Mushroom and swish is dry and fried. Crispy chicken is so dry. Cheese burger is very salted. The place is clean however and service is fine. read more

Drive through worker was 100% rude. Mumbled everything she said through the drive through speaker. Drove up to pay and get my food, wasn't greeted, wasn't given my total (had to remember it), wasn't given a straw for my drink or napkins. Asked for ketchup, was given a NASTY look, and was given four. FOUR PACKETS. I ordered four burgers and nuggets. Got back to my hotel room to find the food is absolutely COLD. I'm not even saying like 2 degrees under temperature, I'm talking about room temperature at best. We showed up here three mornings in a row right as they opened at 6am for breakfast for four people in the drive through. Ordered the same thing all three mornings. The drive through lady seemed tired each time, but that is to be expected that early. I went through the drive thru on a Monday morning. There were only three other cars in front of me but by the time I got my order I probably could have made the food myself at home. I can hear the cashier apologizing to other customers for the wait but I actually didn't get one. That's not why I am giving a one star review though. I'm giving it because this is the cheapest McDonald's I've ever been to. I ordered breakfast for seven, but counted only four napkins in the bag. When I asked for more, I got three more napkins...really? When I ordered sausage burrito the cashier automatically put no sauce. Really? Everywhere else they will ask what kind of sauce you want... Ask...a cup of water (in a small cup)...$.10 When I pulled up to pay and looked inside, they were clearly understaffed. It is obvious to me that the owner of this franchise wants to nickel and dime their customers, rather than give them an enjoyable experience. In Los Angeles, if your order takes more than 1 minute from the time you pay, you get a free sandwich. If they implemented this policy here, they would probably go bankrupt. I would recommend eating breakfast at the nearby Subway, or for lunch and dinner go to the nearby Chinese restaurant if you have time and support a local business who tries to please their customer. read more

Drug deal in the lobby? Thought I would stop in for a quick bite to eat on my way through town. While waiting for my food I watched a grubby little punk walk in and stand there awkwardly waiting for something. Then one of the McDonald's employees came out from the kitchen and he and the grubby punk disappeared behind a lobby wall (which is there to separate the restrooms from the rest of the lobby). Being curious I poked my head around the corner and watched the punk kid slip his McStoner friend a baggy of something (with all the subtlety of a dancing elephant I might add). Afterwards, the punk kid got a water cup from the counter and sat outside at one of the tables for a few minutes before walking away. Descriptions of the two below. Grubby Punk: Black backwards baseball cap, large black worn out shirt and a cigarette behind his ear. McDonald's Employee: Hard to describe because he was wearing his McDonald's uniform. But he was roughly 5'8" and had a white pointed gage sticking through his pierced ear. August 7th 2016 between 7:45-8:00PM Go check the video tapes, you'll see what I mean. So you know what's on the menu. Let's skip that. The service was average, but what was "entertaining" was the banter that went on between the employees and at times, some of the customers (who were obviously friends with the staff). I now possess details on these people in town who are loud, rude, and thoughtless, in addition to being knocked up and boasting about smoking, as they spent quite a bit of time talking with the staff before being equally loud and rude while eating. I'm sure the family at the main table enjoyed the frequent use of the f-bomb, as much as I enjoyed the afternoon pajama attire of the group. I know that someone on the team (I didn't bother to look to see which one) couldn't wait to be the shift lead so he could boss others around; good luck in your career pursuits, sir. Clearly no task took priority over standing around and chit-chatting about this "friggin'" thing and that "friggin'" event when there were no customers at the counter, because I heard that expression multiple times. I'm going to wager much of this is a direct reflection on the leadership team. Might I suggest the drive through if you must have McNuggets? But be sure you have plenty of time, though, as it took almost 15 minutes the one time I tried to get just a soft drink. read more

My family & I were traveling thru Kanab on our way to Lake Powell. We stopped to grab a quick bite for breakfast. (I would have never stopped, but had kids in the car and we were in a hurry) We went through the drive-thru ordered everything fine. Until, we reached the pick-up window. The manager was VERY RUDE !! After a long day of driving, all we wanted to do was check into our hotel and get some food. When I pulled in to the parking lot at 9:30pm, the workers were all sitting in the dining room, obviously just waiting to close, and one of the workers CLEARLY mouthed "f@$# you" at me as I was heading toward the drive through. I was pretty sure if I actually ordered that someone was going to spit in my burger, so I headed down the street to subway instead.
