Even when using the app to place orders, the wait time is ridiculous, the drive thru is minimum 20 minutes. And they still send you to wait in the parking lot. I also want to put on blast that this location up charges everything on their meal. If you have the app the Kane'ohe location is 5 dollars cheaper every meal. At this location a 40 piece chicken nuggets with two large fries is $28 but if you drive 10 minutes away to the Kaneohe location, it is $17 for 40 piece nugget and two large fries. One of the worst customer service McDonald's on the island. The 1 star is for the helpful team member that actually acknowledged the customers. Came here on a Sunday at 12:34 pm a few people in line. The workers are busy talking to each other and they just straight ignore customers while they move at a snails pace. A younger guy (black shoulder length hair) got back from his break and finally helped us. He was courteous and apologized for the wait. On 8/4/2024 at 8:42 pm, my husband and I ordered food from here which included 2 apple pies. The apple pies were NOT the same as McDonald's normal apple pies.... so after my husband took a bite of one, he threw half of it out saying that the apple pie was different and he threw half of it out. After I ate my food and when I looked at my apple pie, I took a tiny bit and put it back in the box, I didn't like mine at all either. I looked closely at the boxes and they both said "Applepie". So my husband and I thought that McDonald's changed their recipe! Called the store and explained the situation to Matt and told him that we wanted a refund. He asked me to hold, he put the phone down and I heard him explain the situation to his manager, Lamau. Perhaps she didn't understand what he said but all I heard her say was that they couldn't give us a refund if we ate it. Matt came back on the phone and told me to bring in my receipt tomorrow for a refund and to tell the Supervisor, Ben, that we received the wrong pies. In the amount of time I finished my breakfast, there were about 5 customers who complained about the restroom situation. Several customers had emergencies but had to place an order prior to using the facilities. One customer placed an order, but didn't pay, was given the password. After using the facilities, she left. There are also no drink refills in this location. One associate was so adamant about placing an order first - very authoritative. Where is the aloha? I will not go to this location anymore. The lady in the dining side is rude. We bought food from the drive-thru but I needed to use the restroom so I went in. I told her I need to use the rest room and she told me "ok, put in an order first." So rude! I told her I was just in the drive thru, then she told me "well,l show me your receipt" with an attitude. If I could give a zero, I would. She's old lady. Ugliest attitude and should not be allowed to work in front. She could have told me "I'm sorry but our restroom is only for our customer. I could let you use the restroom if you have a receipt as an evidence you purchased food." There are plenty of ways to say that policy. Our 2-1/2 hour tour 3 miles away only included a tiny dixie cup size of water. So heading home we just wanted something to drink. Macnut factory and Waiahole Poi factory were closed early by 3?pm possibly since it was Xmas Eve. Hubs suggested McD so Yelp to the rescue for the nearest one brought us here. One large diet coke, 1 large ice tea and 1 large vanilla ice coffee using a deal for 50% off. It's good that there are so many franchises around the island. Quick drive through and onto H-3 to head home for a nice afternoon siesta. The jostling in the 4 wheel drive through the natural wonderland of the ranch was more comfortable and fun than imagined. It moves fast and when it's our turn, this woman at the cashier greeted us with an Aloha vibes! Ordered McNuggets & french fries then 1 medium size soda. And we saved a lot! Just the way we love! Smooth transaction, both parties are happy. Settled in and wait for our order. Took us 4-5minutes to get our order. Nuggets served hot but not that flavorful, thanks for the sauce, it helped enriched some flavors. Fries are cooked just right. Always good with ketchup! Never gets old. Condiments area is a bit messy. No one bothers to clean or wipe the counter. Customers sometimes are so careless, and at the same point, staff ain't attentive enough. Same-same, so not that big deal, but kind'a disturbing to look. Toilet situation! By far toilet bowls are clean, guess nobody ain't have a bad stomach at the moment. But the sink area is dirty. I don't normally leave reviews but I have to share my worst fastfood experience at this location. I have placed a mobile app order and arrived at the location at 10:17 am, but I did not get my food until 11:03 am. I am missing one breakfast plate order, they gave us spicy sausage mcmuffin instead of original, two pancakes order were still frozen, and they did not give us any utensils at all. I could have checked my items before leaving but I was already frustrated with having to wait 45 mins that I just wanted to get out of there. We got no acknowledgement or apology from the crew onto why they are still fulfilling orders from people that ordered breakfast. I was not the only one experiencing this service as they were more than 6 people waiting in the lobby sharing my frustration. I have also witnessed people parked in curbside and had to go in to get their food. With all these commotions, not one crew nor the manager apologize to the customers and to make matters worse, the front crew people are yelling at each other. Stopped here on the way out from visiting the nearby Byodo-In Temple, mainly to take a bathroom break. Had to order in order to get the passcode to the bathroom. We got a Haupia pie, which was actually quite delicious. Warm, rich in coconut taste, but not too sweet. We were pleasantly surprised. McDonald's. What can I say?... i often come to this location as it's located closest to my home. It's recently been slightly renovated inside to add the self ordering boards. I've yet to actually oRder on one of these since I'm always in their drive thru. I don't know why but this one always seems to be the slowest drive thru ever! Even if there isn't much of a line, we can be waiting and waiting and waiting. Whether you're trying to order your meal or waiting for your food after paying. Constantly waiting. Besides their slowness, this location seems to always get food orders wrong. Almost half the time I'm here, I get something wrong. Either I'm getting someone else's order, they're not double checking the bag that they're handing over to you or the way it's made is wrong. For example, I ordered the meal with 2 cheeseburgers... when I checked the bag before leaving, it all looked right. It wasn't until I took a bite into my cheeseBURGER that I noticed something was missing. There was no burger... or anything besides cheese and bun! WTH?! Checked my other cheeseburger and sure enough, same damn thing. ‍ Another thing that often happens is with their breakfast sandwiches. Always missing an egg.
