-A Constant Disappointment- This is the only fast food place in town. Perhaps if they had competition, they might up their game and start getting orders right. Sadly, they do not have any competition and every trip to the McDonalds is likely to result in at least 25% failure of your order. Ever since they changed from mystery meat to all beef patties, every Quarter-Pounder/DQP burger I have ordered from this location ends up raw in the center. I do not trust McDonalds meat enough to let this slide, but somehow always convince myself that they couldn't possibly still be failing to properly cook their food, now, after months of practice. I am regularly proven wrong. Every potato item I purchase is similarly fudged. Either I get ~30%-50% nasty tasting brown fries mixed in with my fries, or in the morning I will receive undercooked and also, somehow, oil saturated hashbrowns. Not to mention a basketful of minor gripes, such as undercooked egg, soggy nuggets, the ever-missing order items, etc. read more

I have eaten at this McDonald's of Port Townsend, Washington state about four times since I stopped working here in the early 1990s. Also, our tray of one crispy Hashbrown and Ketchup packets were brought out to us while we were waiting with our Orange Juice and Hot Coffee in the lounge area. We arrived before the early rush for late Breakfast folks as well. We took our Hashbrown to go. I left the Ketchup packets on the front counter where we ordered before we left. I'm glad that this McDonald's of Port Townsend still gets business. They must have remodeled to the newer style of McDonald's storefronts a few years or months before we were here as well. This McDonald's storefront looks much, much better and it finally seems to match the other McDonald's storefronts that we have visited in a few other bigger cities. Also, there were a lot of people waiting for early lunch grill orders when we were here. It's much easier, and simpler if you order what is on the Menu... and do not change from what is listed is in each hand prepared sandwich or burger. The food is very inconsistent. More often than not, the fries are undercooked. Only a few of the employees act like they are actually happy to see customers. This is the only fast food option in PT so maybe they think they dont need to try, but I wish consistency was made a priority. read more

I am a local resident and would eat at this location at least twice a week. I have to admit that I will no longer eat there for a couple reasons. One, the food is getting FAR TOO expensive and trying to use smoke and mirrors via 'special deals' is deceptive at best. A Big Mac for $5.90 so one can obtain a 'dollar more'value is wrong. Second, 80% of the time now special orders are wrong. The attached tags are correct but the food isn't even close. My last experience with this caused me to call and talk to Melanie, the manager. She promised to send me coupons to make it right, she didn't. Keep in mind I know most of these people by name and they recognize me. Third, the ice cream machine is non-functioning.....A LOT. Finally, the food looks like it's been thrown together, disheveled and just plain sloppy. When I pay over $10 for a Mac, Filet and small coffee I want the thing right and people to act like they care. With all the trend towards $15/hr I demand these employees get with the program. read more

I'm sad that I have to do this because McDonald's was my first job and I loved my staff. However, recently a lot my my staff have since left and the new staff is just awful. In particular there is a short, stubby blonde woman who is supposed to be a manager and treats me like trash every time I go through. The first time I asked to add a coke to my order at the window and she scoffed didn't say anything and then told me my total. Then my boyfriend and I came through and had too pay with 100 as we didn't have anything else on us. She looks at us and says "Seriously 100, this early?!" And we were so taken back we didn't say anything. Then another time we paid with 100 she scoffs and says "I don't even think I have enough in my till" (which she did have enough) and everytime I go through if she's there I get no "hello, how are you, thank you would love to see you again" I don't even get looked at. She's a bs excuse for a manager. Everytime I see her my experience is bad. Sorry McDonalds. Hopefully you can find a manager who doesn't so obviously hate their job that they act it out for you read more

Terrible. Due to construction, only the drive thru was open. I waited through the line and got no response at the order spot. I gave up and rolled up to the window after a couple of minutes. The clerk ignored me while taking another order (the car behind me?). She flipped her hand once to a semi-illiterate sign about "oerder" not being taken from "petal" bikes. I asked her to pass two comments to her boss about spelling and putting the sign BEFORE I had rolled through all the cars. Her only comment was that she "didn't make the sign." I went across the road to Safeway where the sausage egg burrito was MUCH better. I know where I will be eating in the future ... read more

Worst service ever! Gone through the driver through and requested one of each dipping sauce for the chicken nuggets I ordered (30 pieces) since I had several girls with me. When I received my bag I always check to ensure everything is in there. The dipping sauce was missing which I told them and then they told me I can only have one kind and they have to charge me extra. The did not even listen to the main situation, 1. There was no sauce and 2. I ordered 30 pieces so how can that be only 2 sauces. Then they were just rude gave me one kind of sauce and said that I should be grateful!!! Worst service ever and such rude employees! The French fries we received had no salt and the cheeseburger was not made as we requested. Will never go here again. read more

Wow. Best McDonalds in America? Fries were fresh, lightly fried, and subtly salted. Angus burger was similarly fresh-tasting, and not over cooked or sopping with oil, as I've found with other McD's. Topping it off, the folks inside we're polite and decently courteous. read more

i definitely feel bad leaving this review, considering i know how hard it is to work at customer service but something's gotta change here. i am polite, clear, not one to make a scene or cause problems but EVERY time i go here, one of the employees has a problem with the way i say my order, so the next time i say it how they said i should've said it and then next time same thing all over again. sorry i don't have items not listed on the menu memorized? tbh just feel really bad about myself every time i leave and there aren't many other options here:/ read more

Probably one of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to...and that's the biggest understatement of 2021. They close at 5pm apparently, but all of their signs say 10 pm at the latest, even on a Saturday. If you want to be angry, hungry, and have a 16 year old yell at you for a 1+1 kind of equation, this is the place for you. They will yell at you and blame you for their own mistakes, while they double down and tell you how you're the worst kind of customer. I recommend ANY other restaurants than this McDonald's, and I'm going to be honest, the McDonald's in downtown Chicago is far nicer than this one by a long shot, and there you probably won't eat a burger comfortably without a bulletproof vest. Don't let the surroundings of port townsend fool you, this McDonald's is terrible, and you can get better quality from a gas station any day. Eat here if you want children who don't know what food is cooking for you while they double down and get angry for their own reasons. read more

The employees generally work hard and are great people. For a long time there has been a sign in the drive through stating that anything less than a perfect review was unsatisfactory. It's not that it's a failing grade it's a wonder that there has ever been a perfect grade. Very expensive. Very slow. It's called breakfast menu and fresh beef. These are corporate issues. Once again I arrived home with food that was cold and old. The people that work here seem nice so i can only concluded that they are just too stupid to serve fresh cooked food. I came home with my order of 2 quarter ponders and a medium fries. i was the only person being served at the time [9:00 pm] When i got home the food was so cold i decided to reheat the burgers. When taking apart the sandwich the cheese that was on the meat was not the slightest bit melted. WTF It truly is a 50/50 chance of them getting your order right. Pathetic. We frequent this place with our kids and I have to say for a McDonald's they have great customer service. A couple weeks ago I had ordered two happy meals and alas one didn't get a toy. DEFCON 5 broke out in the back seat a few miles up the road, so I returned to the drive thru and they quickly made it right. No worries! read more

Terrible experience. First bite of cheeseburger filled my mouth with a terrible caustic sensation. Scared me so bad I called paramedics. Complaint to Jefferson County Health. That was a pointless exercise. Refused to send food for testing. They don't test foods unless many people complain. As as usual, it is pointless to complain. I am really getting tired of going to fast food places and feeling like they get a free pass for food quality just because they are being NICE. People , really? If you BBQ at home you KNOW just how bad the food had become at ALL the fast food places . NOTHING I have ordered in the last 5 years from ANY of the fast food places can compare to what the food looks like in their commercials . It is a mind job I tell you and everybody just keeps settling for crappy food . McDonalds does it . Wendy's, Jack in the Box. They all should put a cigarette and a match in the food bags because we always feel like we just got screwed out of hard earned money for crappy food.
