The workers could can't handle our two mobile orders...mobile order should be easy right? The incompetent old fat guy with a beard is giving me extreme attitude bc their system messes up and he trying to get me to reorder at the 2nd window. Telling us conflicting information from the cashier 10 feet away from him. Now I can hear the employees are yelling at each other with that fat guy screaming "don't yell at me" like a child. We walked in a 8:33 pm to get a burger and fries, and I was shocked by how dirty the floor was and all the tables were filthy. Also, the cooks were walking in spilled sauce and packaging. There were 7 people there and three were working and the rest were just walking around as well as the night manager. After waiting a while. The night manager told us there were no apple pies made, and if we wanted to wait it would take 12 min. By this time we had been there now for 15 mln. We decided to cancel the pies, take our order and go, but the manager left and more time went by. Then he came back and now we have been there for 20 min. He gave us a refund that took 6 min to accomplish. Now we had been there for 26 min. The manager left and we did not receive our order yet. We waited another 10 min. A clerk asked what we were there for, we told him we were order number 883. We finally received our order incomplete after 36 min. It was a double cheese burger and large fries and apple pie. The time we spent there, was enough time to cook pies twice. Why didn't we ever get an apple pie? The struggle to purchase food at this McDonald's has been this way since after Covid. Worst McDonald's ever, horrible customer service. They tell me to wait in stall number one for my drive through order and after waiting ten minutes I call and tell them I've been waiting in stall number one they ok it will be right out. Another 10 minutes pass I call them and tell them I've been waiting is stall number one again and the person saids that my order was already given away?!!?!?! This review is solely for McDonald's new spicy bbq chicken sandwich. It's a thin crispy chicken with a few splashes of bbq sauce, a few pickles and lots of onions. The spicy came from the raw onions. I took a few bites and all I tasted was onions And pickles. It was gross and the chicken texture was weird. McDonalds Tried to get on the hype but this was a fail. Is it terrible that I am a yelp elite that likes Mickey Ds? Aren't we all supposed to be food snobs? Lol. Pretty solid spot for cheap fast food. The staff here is very friendly. Occasionally, there are vagrants in the front, asking for a bite to eat (normally at night and sometimes in the middle of the afternoon). Terrible service from this establishment: 1) Took 3 McD employees and 20 minutes later to figure out that I was trying to pick up an order I made thru the McD app, after I had to explain to them step by step how I place the order thru the app on my phone and describe to them what they needed to do with that information. 2) They still complaint to me for just ordering a Large order of fries for my kid. 3) They started to lecture me trying to explain to me the difference between the apps and differences like if was my job to know how to use them in their system. 4) Manager started to lecture me on how I needed to to proceed with the step on how to pick up order and giving me attitude until he saw I was not happy with the service he just walk away. 5) The container on the fries was only half way full, not even to the top or edge of the box. Ok look, don't judge me. Sometimes, I have the palate of a six year old. So when my inner child wants McD's - I give it to her. (Take that, mom! Lol) However, I didn't quite leave with a happy meal. (Ok, I'm sorry. I had to do it). First, I rolled up and sat at the drive thru for a minute or two... no one said anything. So I timidly said "hello?" Apparently there was some type of meeting going on, maybe tgat is why I was told to pull over and my food would be brought out. This has to be the worse McDonald's I have ever went to. They always mess orders up which create longer wait times. Young and inexperienced staff on many shifts and there is no one to guide them. Customer service sucks therefore I would be scared to eat the food eat. CHECK YOUR FRIES BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I went to this McDonald's on Sunday night for a quick meal, I was kind of in a hurry so I chose to order a quarter pounder, medium fries and a coke. The quarter pounder was nice and fresh, the coke was excellent, but my problem was with the fries. I ordered a medium, but like I said I was in a hurry, so when the cashier called my number I just grabbed my food and left. Big mistake on my part I didn't look in the bag, the medium fries were more like an order of small fries. This McDonald's is located at the south west corner of El Cajon and Texas St. This is quite possibly the strangest McDonald's I've ever been to. I almost want to say it like Kanye West. "This is the strangest McDonald's of all time, of all time! Now while we're still talking California prices here (7+ bucks for a breakfast combo) and it was barely 10am I at least had the option to go off brekkie menu and go with a double quarter. I mean let's go large if we're going to pay the California prices right? I love the new Quarter Pounder so much I got a double. I mean this new Quarter is so much better than the old one in so many ways. It's juicy (greasy), bigger (much bigger) that or the bun has shrunk to make the entire patty peak out the entire circumference of the bun but wait, this thing actually tastes so much better. Am I at In-N-Out? OK, sorry that's going a bit too far now. It's not that good and no where near as affordable but I digress. Nevermind the burger, what makes this absolutely the strangest McDonald's experience I've ever had is that half of the dining area is essentially an office. No exaggeration but half the seating is being taken by people that are essentially doing office related work whether they are interviewing other people, filling out forms or doing some sort of paperwork that is stacking up in like this place is keeping Dunder Mifflin in business. The very next booth to us has a woman interviewing people and after that interview was over another person sitting in another booth came over. The booth near the kitchen door to the left had the entire table filling out forms. The back corner booth had 3 people there with one guy in a suit and tie doing other paperwork. What makes this story entirely hilarious is that there was some crazy noisy construction going on at the time and it was really loud to the point I had to wait between noises to speak and order. I was waiting for my order and the suit and tie comes up to front threatening to call McDonald's HQ if this noise doesn't stop. He said something to the effect, "I didn't come here for this" and he demanded to speak to the manager. One of the employees said the person doing the work was the owner's relative or something. The bottom line is suit and tie wasn't there to eat but rather use McDonald's as his office and probably using the wifi too. Did he have a coffee and loiter all day? Who cares. I know McD's doesn't kick anybody out ever. I've seen homeless people practically live in some McD's and seen others come just to use the internet but to demand that the noise stop when you're clearly no longer a paying customer and this place is essentially being taken over so others can conduct a business in a restaurant is rather strange. I regret not saying something to him about being rude. He was threatening this restaurant for not giving him a good experience? Go rent an office bub and take the other half of the restaurant with you if in fact you're all together. For what it's worth he was the only complainer, perhaps the others thought they were fortunate enough to be able to use a free, clean space to conduct their business. I know the employees didn't appreciate getting yelled at and threatened by suit and tie nor did they deserve it but ya they can't really say anything back to this quasi-customer. Oh ya, the quarter pounder is great! Ya, California you have to ask for straws, plastic utensils etc. I had to ask for ketchup even because they didn't have that at the drink fountain where you could help yourself, even the salt etc was not available and come to think of it I think they provided napkins from behind the counter as well. To know me is to know that I love McDonald's. Always have, always will! Mickey D's will always get 5 stars from me! I am rarely disappointed when I order from McDonald's. It is a fast food restaurant chain, so definitely subject to error sometimes. I do love this location though. The fries are always hot! And that's all I really ask for! Those hot fries, crispy on the outside, soft in the center, are what dreams are made of. I'm a huge fry person and these are the best hands down. I usually also order a quarter pounder with cheese and a sprite. You can order it Big Mac style, which is good. But a little too much sauce for me. The coffee is always good too! And for a great price. I love their lattes. I have the app so I get points and discounts regularly which is always nice. read more

I stopped going to McDonald in April when all their specials required the app or some online coupon. There are so many burger places that are better and cheaper. Tonight I wanted to give them another chance but had to back out of the drive thru bc I waited and waited and she said she'd be right w me but another car pulled in and she took the order immediately. I went to the Mexican place a few blocks away where the workers are polite and busy and efficient. I got a bigger better combo for Less than $10. I always have some problem at McDs. Every time it's something. I think they're on their way out. The menu boards are burned out and vagrants are all over. It's not clean and the workers are not happy.
