I usually don't review big chains like this but this specific place I had to. Our family calls this place the horrible McDonalds in reference to their service. It's close and the only reason we go here but out of all the times we've been here, I've never had a complete order that was correct. So, now if we order from here, we always have to check the bag. They've tried to explain before that a "plain mcdouble, ketchup only" means it comes with cheese and if I don't want something I should say "no ____" instead of plain because it's not the way your supposed to order...I was stunned, really! This is, hands down, the BEST McDonalds around. Freshest, fastest,nicest staff. Comfortable. The manager, Vince is the best! I attribute the great service and organization to his management. Recommend? I don't know if I should laugh or cry for the owner of this franchise, that is don't know if it's a franchise or a corporate owned "restaurant". Today is Sunday the 21st of May 2023 returning home from downtown Chicago, decided to stop by at this McDonald's to see if I could get a Big Mac for dinner. I haven't had a big Mack for at least 4-5 years and I felt like having one. It was exactly 5:00 pm and the place was practically empty with the exception of two people in line. One of them was complaining for a wrong order of a drink by rolling her eyes with dissatisfaction, and the other elderly couple (Chinese) trying to make sense of their order. Other than that, the place had this deserted feel to it, somewhat dirty looking, uncleaned tables and dirty floors with copies of order receipt all over the floor at the front area, and, of course, no one to be seen behind the counter to take orders. After waiting 10 minutes, a young man (African American) showed up in a flash, dropped a cup of coke on the counter and disappeared. Apparently that was new replacement for the previous wrong order. The woman tasted the drink and said "it still not right". Kept saying "I ordered a Diet Coke and I keep getting a regular one". And we kept waiting and waiting for someone to show up. Suddenly, behind the counter, a young Hispanic girl shows up, with heavy makeup asking if she could help someone. She takes my order and disappears. We are back at the waiting game and after 10 minutes I see this very same girl and the African American boy chasing each other giggling and running from the back kitchen area to the front towards the washroom and back, while we are still waiting for our orders. Finally the boy showed up very briefly dropped my order on the counter called my order number and disappeared again. I proceeded to pick up the order and realized drink was missing and no fries that I had ordered. Now, I was really tired and frustrated with all this drama, couldn't wait anymore and took whatever was there and left. Never go there again and never ever Recommend it to my neighbors or family members. One of the worst experiences ever! read more

My grandma and I were at the drive-thru, ordering, and the employees were so rude. My grandma has a bit of an accent, but that's no excuse for being racist!!! All of the employees were so disrespectful towards us. PLUS they messed up our order!!! We even made sure 3 times they got our order right before receiving our food; and somehow they still mess it up. Please take the time to check your bags when you get your food cause even if you think they couldn't get it wrong, they most likely will. If i could, I would give this place ZERO stars. The manager of the location contacted me via phone but I asked him to address my complaint via email as I was very busy. He was very nice and apologetic on the phone and via email. I was surprised to have such speedy response and thanked him for his time. I also sent him a link to these reviews so he could see I'm not the only one thinking this way. ZERO STARS. I always come to this McDonald's. I hate to have to give zero stars. The night shift manager needs to go. She's ghetto, rude, and unprofessional. I ordered a quarter pounder meal and Big Mac meal and some Mc chickens. I pay at the first window, get my receipt and proceed to the second window. The manager comes running up to the window SCREAMING "SHE DIDNT PAY SHE DIDNT PAY SHE DIDNT PAY" and I look over at the lady with a shocked look on my face and immediately hand her the receipt. As she's LOOKING AT MY RECEPT she proceeds "the lady said she didn't pay, she didn't pay." She looks over at me (with my receipt in her hand) "you only got the water right" and at this point I don't know whether to laugh or start fuming. And I pointed to the receipt and corrected her on what my order was. She quickly apologized and I nod my head and took my receipt back. As I'm waiting on my food, shes standing in the window "you Skokie people" "she looked like she was ready to jump" just kept saying these nasty comments. For what? How did she expect my face to look after she repeatedly accused me of not paying??? She must've said I didn't pay AT LEAST 5x. This is a abominable McDonald's location. The cashiers and manager cheat you out of your money. They tell you that you gave them a lower bill than what you actually gave them an shortchange you. Take the time to check your bag before you leave. If there are items missing or they charge for items you never ordered, any attempt to return after you're done eating to get what was missing will lead to you being treated like a common criminal. Absolutely floored by their treatment of me for what was 100% their mistake. If you have the choice of another McDonalds, absolutely take it! Since this is a busy location, it's unlikely McDonalds will do anything about it as the complaints here apparently go way back. read more

The relatively new remodeling is welcome, but there are some improvements needed. This is a summary of our experience today: 1. Forgot to include sausage in the sausage McMuffin with egg (to go order). 2. When I returned with the sandwich (see item 1 above) I found the entire front Staff standing with their backs to customers, talking amonst themselves, rather than facing the restaurant, in case someone needs help. 3. The sell breakfast all day (nice!) but they don't provide salt or pepper. And they don't ask if you would like salt or pepper. You have to go back and ask. 4. There is a sign posted that claims there is 30 minute maximum eating time allowed! And it says that the manager "must" enforce this rule. How unwelcoming is that?! I saw an old guy having a coffee, checking his watch. I think I know why now. The other stuff is readily overlooked, but based on this rule, alone, I will never, ever come back to this location. Everytime I go to this place they short fill your drink!Last time I went I asked the lady to please fill it and she gave me a dirty look.Then she finds a dirty cup and totally overfills it so it spills in the car.The cup was all sticky in the outside like she spilled pop on it and then let it dry!!! The WORST McDonald's I have ever been too. The manager Maria is a joke and obviously doesn't care at all about the service at all. I was up charged for lemonade because they had NO soda available. This McDonald's is the closest one to my house so my family and I go there often, especially through the drive thru. They are fast! Plus, my order has never been incorrectly served. The employees are nice and efficient. The building needs an update overall to keep up with the newer McDonald's, but other than that, this is a great place to eat in or take out. I ordered my lunch from the kiosk, a relatively easy way to order. I pay for my meal at 11:39 a.m. At noon the meal still was not ready. By then, my lunch break was order. I would have asked for a refund, but the lines waiting to order food were so long, it would have likely taken me a good 15 minutes to get to an employee. I then went to the parking lot to get back to work, but the double lanes for the drive-through were so long that I was boxed in. Just went through the drive thru for lunch and not only did we get rushed and cranked at by not one, but two employees through the line after telling them the order on the screen was wrong, but they forgot all the BBQ sauce. I went to this McDonald's about two weeks ago thru the drive thru and ordered two orders of scrambles eggs. three pieces of bacon and two large coffees. I noticed on the screen that an error was made, so I asked him at the pay window of my order if it was correct and he said, 'Yes.' I paid for the order and left for home. When I arrived home and took my order out of the bag It was short one order of scrambled eggs and just bacon strips instead of the three I had ordered. Now the same place on another day I had ordered two large coffees, two creams and four sugars. I paid for it, went home and noticed that no sugar was in my coffee. Again, I had gone to this McDonald's and waited more the 5minutes in one of two their lanes only to find out that one of the two lanes was closed. On another day at nite I went thru their drive thru lane and ordered a Southwest Chicken sandwich and went to work and opened my chicken sandwich to see it hadn't been cooked well. The food here is mostly good. I usually don't go to McDonalds however when I do I usually come to this place. The food served usually is closer to fresh looking than other McDonalds I have been to. The employee's however aren't the nicest people. I understand they may not like their jobs but that doesn't mean they can treat people with little respect. If it weren't for one employee who usually is nice I would have given this place two stars. Let me tell you about the people here at McDonalds. Rude and truly disrespectful. With the way I was treated yesterday by two employees and a manager they don't deserve to have a job with human interaction. An employee argued with me saying that I changed my mind on an order, which I didn't. Then another employee instigated it further by sayin " she just gets frustrated when people change their orders last minute".
