Well, it's McDonald's. You get the same crap 'food' here as you get at just about every McDonald's in this country. The difference is accuracy and the service. I've been to this one more times than I'm willing to admit to, and rarely have problems. Staff is always friendly and I can't remember my order being wrong very often. I had a bad experience in this McD and will never stop here again. I drive often to Tehachapi and always stopped here and always had bad experience but the last one was the final straw off camel's back. I ordered 20 piece chicken nuggets and I was given stone cold nuggets which were probably cooked 12 hours before. I understand that it was late night and may be the staff made a mistake. So I walked to the counter and showed the staff those nuggets and asked if I could get fresh ones. She was like "You want fresh ones?" (Arent they supposed to be fresh by default?) and then she winked at the cooked laughed as if she was caught in a bad act. Honestly, that condescending behavior was far more humiliating than swallowing those cold nuggets. P.S. Also the lady handling food was sick and probably had flu. A five star review for McDonald's? Yes! We were just there on a family road trip. They totally fouled up our order... giving us ONLY fries. When I got to our hotel room, my wife realized the problem. She called over, and said UH OH we did not get our drinks, nor our chicken nuggets nor our hamburgers. A disaster. I fully expected them to say: SORRY charlie. But instead - they COMPED us our food, gave us our full order, and were incredibly nice and professional. WOW. The service staff there deserves a raise, and it was the BEST experience I have ever had at a McDonald's. So if you are traveling thru Tehachapi, I highly recommend this McDonald's - not so much for the food but for the service. (Bone Daddy's of Plano - take note). read more

Yes five stars! As McDonald's go, this place is what Ronald McDonald envisioned! It's ridiculously clean, it's crazy friendly, staff was well trained and efficient and it was FAST! It might even had tasted better than other mickey-d's!! If you're screaming by on Highway 58 and need some eats, this is your stop. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. On 5/2 I came here with friends on our way to Vegas and we walked through the gas station part of Love's through subway and finally to McDonald's. At every section, we were greeted by employees which is something I've never witnessed. It was 7 in the morning and it was nice to see nice, genuine employees greeting us. We ate and then immediately left. 3 hours after I realized I had left my purse and called frantically seeing if they had it and they did. I got it back today thanks to a friend that was coming up. Once I got my purse back, everything was in there including my wallet full of cash and credit cards, car keys, Ray Bans, etc which wasn't what I was expecting. I was at a loss for words. I was expecting the worst and ended up getting the best. These employees handled the situation professionally and with concern and I am so grateful for them. My Vegas trip took a turn for the worst and they were able to make it better. Thanks to all of the employees. I appreciate their honesty and respect towards others stuff. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a fast, friendly meal. It was the last thing I expected from a McDonald's in a truck stop. I am still speechless. Thank you so much guys!! OK I say any body that gives them more than 1 star works there.
