Husband and I stopped for food inside the Love's travel stop to wait out the dense fog. Since it's still breakfast time, there's nothing on the menu I can eat, but I'm still reviewing since my husband bought food. (There was no orange juice for me buy). He ordered an egg McMuffin and two hash browns. Food came out warm and crispy. Customer service is great. Ordered through the kiosk, and the employee brought the good straight to the table. The restaurant is very clean, but there's a fly or gnat that won't bugger off. Kind of annoying. I really wish there had been more breakfast options than one crispy chicken sandwich. read more

How many times can you mess up a order all as for was a Mc double cheeseburger with extra pickles and extra onions. I got no onions and no pickles so I tell the guy at the drive-through window on Mooney and prosperity. If you could please put some pickles in here for me and some onions, and he said no, and shut the window on me, but this is not the first time I did a mobile app order and they couldn't find it so they told me I had to go park in the parking lot and try to find my mobile order when I pacifically had it right there on my phone. And that wasn't the only time I had a problem either went last night to get chicken nuggets and I only got nine nuggets which is fine but they didn't give me my soda. I had to go all the way out and come back around. I know it's new and all and you would think it would be better than it is, but it's not even the two managers don't even know what's going on over there. They were both clueless, I had a monopoly sticker for a free bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and because he didn't know how to work it I couldn't get it. OMG , We ordered 2 collectible meals and it cost us more than $30.00 . The only reason we even went was for the collectible glasses, which were cheap plastic glasses. ( probably not dishwasher safe) We asked if we could get 2 different glasses and were told you get whatever you get & they cannot tell because they are wrapped in plastic. Well when we got home the glasses were exactly the same. Quite frankly, we could have gone to a fancy dining restaurant and gotten a much more better burger and dining experience. Please let all the world know they can get much better burgers and a better dining experience at many other establishments. I want a refund and a different glass!!!!! read more

Light outside the mcdonalds took 27 lightyears to turn green. People stood outside with their arms crossed looking like they were about to kidnap me. Toilet paper ALL over the bathroom. This is the worst McDonalds in California! I travel all over California for work and while on vacation with my family we decided on McDonalds breakfast before we headed home. The lady taking the order sounded moody and when my wife said "just a second" to ask what I wanted she waited 10 seconds and said "Are you ready yet?" Every item my wife asked for was greeted with an "is that all?". When we proceeded to the window to pay they took my credit card, fumbled with it for a minute and then asked if we had cash because the computer was down. My wife told her and the manager that credit card was all we had and if it was possible to enter it manually and the manager chimes in to say "no unless you have another method of payment we can't help you". Morale at this location must be horrible for workers to be so rude. Might as well get gas station food next door at Loves. Avoid this place unless you don't mind bad attitudes. read more

Everyone knows that we all go to McDonald's because there isn't anything better around open so late and as convenient. For the most part McDonald's does strive to maintain a reasonable level of customer service. I fortunately this location lacks several things all the time. For example, there are never any apple pies at the ready. Instead of making sure they never run out, they always second guess the customer by asking "are you sure you want an apple pie?" Of course I do. Or the ocasional "we don't have any right now". I don't really care. I know McDonald's never runs out so I just tell them I'm ok with the 15 minute wait. The people there need to be trained better. I don't think they are understaffed. I used to work at McDonald's a long time ago and it's all attitude. You remain positive and consistent you will get thru all the pressure with the customers but instead they give up on themselves. It seems like they rather be on their phones posting on Facebook and when they don't get that time they stress out. I have yet to see a manager at this location that can put together a good team. Waited at the drive thru for my food after 15 min got my food , but after a 4 hour drive with kids the car to get flat watered down sodas , parked sand walked in only to be brushed off the manager named "Bella" for about 10 minutes (add that up to my drive thru time) then handed me sodas and while she placed them on the counter expecting me to take all my straws out and put them in the new sodas, i did but only to get out of that place where 3 employees walked past me and didn't even try to help until i waved down "Bella" DO BETTER MCDONALDS!!! This is the worst Mc Donald's in the area. They over charged me and I was trying to explain it to the manager and she had a empty look on her face. They gave me cold food and when I brought it back I got some attitude. I asked for a veterans discount and was told they don't do that. And yes I do have a VET ID Card. They only make money because they are attached to the gas station. Tables are dirty. Windows and floors need cleaning. This was not a good experience for me. Came here for lunch with my family on our long drive up to San Francisco from LA. We all needed to stop for a lunch break and a pee stop (Since I was the last one driving, I basically got to say what goes... never argue with your driver and don't be a backseat driver now). This McDonald's is located in the Love's Gas Station and also right next to Subway. Anyways, this is what we ordered: Premium McWrap Sweet Chili Chicken (grilled)- Wow these wraps are pretty hearty and filling and actually really tasty. I loved that there are some dark leafys along with the iceberg lettuce in this wrap to really give it some added fiber and taste. I think it is a little weird that there is both mayo and the sweet chili sauce in this wrap and really have been fine with either sauces and not both. There are some really nice big pieces of warm chicken here that made it quite a filling meal. Would have been better if this was made with a whole wheat tortilla though. Oh and these McWraps are pretty pricey, about $4.60+ a piece (but you can get full off of just 1, no need for fries) Southwestern Salad (with grilled chicken)- I initially had some trouble ordered this salad when I told the girl behind the counter that I wanted this salad. Either she did not hear me or was not listening because she kept asking me if I wanted the burger and I said that I wanted the salad (I guess there is a south western burger here... I always get the salad whenever I am at McDonald's so I am not too familiar with their burger offerings). Anyways, we wanted to order 3 salads but she told us that she didn't think there were enough salads to fulfill the order, lol. Apparently salads are not ordered here too often I guess because we were only able to get 1 (it seems like the salad and chicken they could make with the salad is the same they would use for those new McWraps). Anyways, I wished there was no cheese added to this salad, but I know that these things are premade, so I would have been able to ask to omit it. Even though I was given a salad dressing packet to use, there was still some dressing on my chicken. Anyways, this 1 salad was more than plenty for both my mom and I to share and made it a meal in itself. I liked that there were some dark green leafys in this salad instead of all iceberg lettuce, but really it would have better to omit the lettuce. I only found 1 wilted dark green leafy, but the rest of the salad was perfectly fine and tasted fresh. The chicken pieces were quite tasty and liked that there were warm. Strawberry & Creme Pie (limited time)- I actually really liked this pie and probably would have been better if I had it warm, but I did not eat this with my lunch since I was a bit too full. The cream part of the pie went very nicely well with the strawberry part. Instead of mixing the two elements together, you have 1 side with just cream cheese and the other side with strawberry filling. I would order this sweet little pie again. Anyways, loved poaching off the free (fast!) wifi while waiting for my order (which was not that long of a wait). Tables were clean and there were plenty of seating to choose from. But doing lunch at 1:30 pm on a Tuesday (and not during a holiday weekend) gave us that option, but I can see how seating can be a problem during busy times (especially during holiday weekends). Overall, wouldn't mind stopping here again to grab a quick bite to eat and use the restrooms (in the Love's Gas Station) and checking my emails (and checking in on yelp). read more

I'll start by saying that all McDonald's start with 5 stars in my book. Some atrocity may lose them a star (the lack of a drive-thru in Walnut Creek, for example) but for the most part, with fries that good, we're all winners! I typically use the drive-thru when I'm visiting this McD's, and it can boast reliably fast and friendly service. A large Coke runs $1.00. (Yes, one dollar). You can get a large Diet Coke for the same price, but I would advise against this as diet drinks just seem so unnatural. A large chocolate shake will be about 3x that price ($3.29), and their shakes won't leave you shaking your head. Delicious chocolate goodness! Mmmmm. Moving on, a 20 piece Chicken McNugget is $4.99 and that fills even me up!! Pick a couple of sauces of your choice and you're good to go. Unfortunately, McD's everywhere have again changed their buffalo sauce brand. *Please, please just go back to Frank's sauce!!!* The new buffalo sauce is terrible. I won't take a star off though because then I'd have to take one off every McD's I've ever reviewed. But, if you're reading this Ronald: right this wrong!!! Bring back the good stuff!! read more

I ordered 2 bacon smokehouse crispy chicken sandwiches. I got back to my truck, which is located at the very back of the lot (walking is great, except when it is raining). My husband and I opened our sandwiches and realized they put hamburgers on them instead of chicken. So I walk all the way back into the store, in the pouring rain, and tell them they are beef instead of chicken. They promptly fix the situation (which makes me wonder if it is chicken that has been sitting in the warmer). I am assured they are not, so I open the box to see how the sandwiches look. there are way less sauce and toppings and bacon then there were on the incorrect sandwiches and the chicken is not a hot fresh feel to the touch. I comment on the lack of toppings and am told "sorry I wasn't in the kitchen when they were making it, would you like a pie?" Asking if I want a "pie" after I have had to walk in the rain and I'm about to eat a crappily made sandwich that you just said sorry. They ask us to pull forward & someone will bring out our food (we were the ONLY car in the drive thru this time). At least 5 minutes passes, another car pulls up, is asked to wait also, & they get there food before us & they get our food. This has happened to us 3 other times at the same location. Absolutely the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. I'm not sure who manages this place or does the hiring, but every employee I have encountered is unusually rude. It feels almost like there's a competition to see who can be the rudest and get away with it. They never, and I mean NEVER, say thank you or you're welcome which I think should be the absolute minimum when you work in customer service. They often forget to put sauces in the bag which is annoying but I understand sometimes it happens. One day I let the girl know and she rolled her eyes and literally threw the ranch into my car and shut the window while her manager stood right behind her. Another time I ordered a water in the drive through and received a coke. When I told the employee she said she couldn't take it back and refused to take the coke while trying to hand me the water. I only had 1 cup holder and didn't want to drive with a full cup between my legs which I expressed to her and she just shut the window while I was talking. I have never seen anything like this. I was a food server/bartender for over 10 years so I understand people can be rude to workers and employees can get burned out but at the very least just be a decent human. This place is super close to my house but I won't ever be visiting this location ever again. If I owned this McDonalds I would clean house and rehire management and all of the employees who work at the cash registers or drive through.
