McDonald's can be such a hit or miss depending on location and/or dependent on the location. The morning we stopped here a few days ago it was not great but not the worst ever. Firstly the positives, they had everything we ordered and made it all correctly without mistakes or forgetting anything. Food quality and taste was as good as you can expect from fast food. Staff were friendly enough. The negatives, which almost all comes down to wait/time it took. They in no way should be classified as fast food at the speed they went. This is a location with two lanes of drive thru but did not operate both at the same time so kinda pointless to have the two. Then once we ordered we sat waiting for our food and drinks for what felt like should have been 20+ orders completed. Maybe it was a really understaffed day or something but thankfully the food was correct once we got it. With some other locations that is a hard thing to achieve. Not a franchise I try to frequent to often but glad this is not my local location for the times I do grave a McGriddle or chicken nuggets and fries. read more

By far, the worst McDonald's I have stopped at. We stopped for lunch on our way to something nearby. The ladies bathroom stalls were all out of toilet paper. The food we ordered contained two orders of fries which were terribly undercooked. We decided that was probably just a bad, understaffed day. Later on, we decided to swing in there about six hours later, literally to grab two small bottles of milk instead of going to the grocery store. We were staying in a hotel and that's all we needed. It just seemed easier and we know exactly what we'll be getting. Placed the order on the app, pulled up to the drive through and no one was there to help us. No one came over the comms, nothing. After waiting a long time, we gave up and proceeded to the first window. Nope, nobody there either. Waited and waited and waited and finally gave up. We cancelled the order and left (it was milk afterall, no one prepared food). We won't be stopping there again and hit the nice Irving up the street for our milk needs. read more

Long version: 5:23 PM: Gave my in app purchase code at the drive‑thru intercom--and entered drive‑thru purgatory. 5:25 PM: Reached the service window, optimism high. 5:40 PM: Received our McFlurries--delicious, but already slightly fossilized. 5:52 PM: staff tells us they were "waiting on fries." 5:55 PM: Finally got our fries... stone cold. Was it overburdened staff? No. From the window, I watched employees wandering in slow motion, looking lost in their own restaurant, with zero sense of priority. Meanwhile, the dining room was a ghost town, yet the drive‑thru became a full‑on traffic jam thanks to this glacial service. If you enjoy watching fries grow cold in the wild and questioning your life choices, this is the McDonald's for you. If you're on vacation like us and want a quick meal, do yourself a favor--go anywhere else. read more

This place seriously needs to be investigated by health inspectors. There are dirty tables everywhere because none of the employees clean them and there's trash overflowing out of the barrels because nobody ever empties them during the day. We were forced to clean our own table because it was sticky and coffee stained and there wasn't a single other clean table in the entire building. This is by far the dirtiest and worst McDonald's I've ever been to. There's no doubt in my mind that this location is breaking health codes at this point. read more

would rate 0 if i could. staff was rude- one lady was making herself ramen people, others were chatting and all moving slow was molasses. restocking already stocked things while they have at least 12 cars in the drive thru and about 8 people in the store itself. stopped in to try to grab something quick but ended up waiting a half hour for fries and nuggets. when some other gentleman asked where his order was one staff member snapped back and said they were switching over from breakfast to lunch (which they said breakfast ends at 10:30 mind you,, since when???) i get it if that takes a little extra time but a half hour?? when there's at least 7 staff members??? i work in the service industry too, the restaurant i work at could've had a whole 8 top with steaks out in that time (with one chef on grill). the most ridiculous experience ever. i swear they put themselves in the weeds just to piss off their customers. do NOT come to this mcdonald's. read more

Probably the worst McDonald's I ever been to on god. I ask for two mc'chickens and a 10 piece. I got one and 6 nuggets. Maybe they can't count. We went there despite the bad reviews. We just wanted hot fudge sundaes. We ordered at the drive-through and an emotionless voice responded "no hot fudge" (exact quote). I wasn't looking for a full report but I did expect a bit more, for example an alternative but that was apparently too much. I said "thank you" and drove off. read more

I go to McDonald's as a vegetarian and get a weird burger: cheeseburger with no meat, just extra pickles and cheese. They loaded up that burger with a ton of pickles. It was a literal dream. The worker was also incredibly nice, the store and bathrooms were sparkling clean. So happy!! read more

This location needlessly kicks out people from their ordering lobby after a certain hour without any sign or notice due to staffing problems, forcing customers to only order via the drive through. I came in here today to order something, and the staff here kicked me out in a rude and condescending manner. It is clear that this place is poorly managed and is in need of some major changes. Apparently, Bob Hogan is the manager and owner of several of these Maine McDonald's locations, and I will have to say that he has done a horrendous job. We went through the drive thru at 2:15 PM 8/17/18 4 person order was too difficult for the lady taking the order. It sounded high and when we asked her to read it back she said yeah, I should of told u to come in for this order. Orders like this shouldnt be taken thru the drive thru. The staff at the Wells, McDonald's is totally overstressed. They have locked the outside door so customers will not come into the restaurant to place an order. There is no sign that the lobby is closed and they are yelling at the customers as they unknowingly let others on thinking the door it's just broken. The restaurant is open, but they want everyone to only use the drive up. It is a bit out of control. Very unfriendly establishment. Lots of staff yelling at each other and the customers. read more

In my mind McDonald's is supposed to serve their food hot and fast. Expecting more is unrealistic. Even with these low expectations this particular location fails consistently. MUCH WORSE than that is that the Vanilla Shake I ordered the other day was actually a chunky icy combination of shake mix and the bleach based solution they use to clean the machines. Of course, I didn't take my first sip until out on the road... When I went out of my way to stop back in to show them the next day... No apology, no refund, nobody who cared. at the time I came here, they were not busy. Came from out of state and just ordered three iced coffees. 2 were the same, one was slightly different. I got them with no tags indicating which was which. I am a shift leader at a Dunkin, I sort of know how to tell with color. But none of these were right. They tasted absolutely terrible but we had already left. The staff was very nice while interacting with them, but they didn't stir my coffees and they were made incorrectly. Okay so normally I would never leave a review for a McDonalds because it's a McDonalds and you can't expect much, but we had SUCH a bad experience at this one tonight. We went through the drive through and placed our order and when we got to the window my mom greeted the person working and the woman COMPLETELY ignored her and just gave her a dirty look, and then continued to bad mouth her coworker (boss?) to another employee instead of acknowledging us. We sat there and she handed us our order and still completely ignored us and wouldn't answer anything we said. Rudest employee I've ever dealt with. Also my fries were freezing cold so there's that. Honestly we're always so kind so I don't know how it's so hard to respond and be kind. Not a good feeling to be completely ignored and then have to listen to them swearing about and trashing their coworker or boss. read more
