The orders are either outright incorrect or at best incomplete and I get tired of having to go in to get it corrected. Go in and get your order to go if you don't have time to eat there, and be sure to check that everything is as you ordered it. I could be a bit more charitable if the service were significantly faster, but as they cook everything to order, you oftentimes end up waiting 5-15 mins for an order, and then to have it end up incorrect is disrespectful both of the customer's time and money. It only takes 5-10 seconds to verify that what is on the order ticket is in the bag before(!) the runner brings it out. Also, don't bother with their survey. This Culver's gives you an 18 digit code, but the survey website only allows 15, so the survey is useless. It is sad to see this restaurant's reputation go so downhill, they used to care about their customers.

We were intrigued by the root beer and loved the idea of enjoying it in a frosted mug, so we popped over for dinner. We ordered a myriad of things, all of which were eventually served in one giant paper tray with zero markings to identify what was what. And our root beers? Served in paper cups. When we asked about the frosted mugs, we were told they were about to close and had suspended tray service. However, the car that pulled in AFTER us received frosted mugs... and so did the folks seated at the picnic tables. So... huh? We flagged down a different carhop and asked why those patrons were still being served mugs. Again, we were told it was because they were about to close. But the sign clearly stated they closed at 10 PM, and both parties arrived after us and received mugs after we'd already been told service was suspended. Was this a case of dining while Black? In this current political climate, I honestly never know. I certainly pray that wasn't the case. The carhop apologized and didn't offer any additional excuses. She simply said she'd speak with the manager. Shortly thereafter, two frosted mugs appeared, filled with some of the creamiest root beer I've had in quite some time. I prayed over mine again because, listen... I worked in restaurants. I've seen crazy things. For the record, the hours posted on the menu board are incorrect. They actually close at 9 PM on Saturdays, not 10. And right at 9, the lights shut off completely. So if you plan to keep eating, you'll need to turn on your dome light like it's a tailgate party. The onion rings and root beer were genuinely enjoyable. The hot dogs, burgers, fries, and fried mushrooms were mid. Just... meh. Nothing to write home about. But what truly irritated me was the corn dog. Everybody knows the best part of a corn dog is that crispy little batter nugget near the stick. WHY would they scrape it off?!?!?! Who does that? Why would you intentionally remove the batter from the stick? I was absolutely appalled. Pffft! Walt, the owner is exceptional; he shows passion in everything he does and it's clear he cares deeply about his establishment. I have enjoyed several different coffee drinks. The two I'd highlight as perhaps the most original offerings in town are the Quest Coffee Latte (it's made with protein powder) and the hot nitro brew. I personally love the hot nitro. As far as food and snacks, they always have excellent locally sourced goods. I believe they pulling treats from Mama Inez, a local Hispanic bakery and also Scones and Doyles (European bakery). The final highlight I'll mention is the space; it's huge! This coffee shop sits across two store fronts. One side gives study room/university vibes, while the other is more of a traditional shop. So if you want a quiet study area, you have it. If you want the atmosphere of a fully alive coffee shop, you've got it!
