A little more pricey than i thought they would be for where we were but I also caught them outside of the season. They were huge oysters. Probably the largest pieces of meat I've seen in an oyster. Came with crackers and the standard sides. I wouldn't say they were super delicious, there was very little juice in the shell so they were a little dry. Then ordered the shrimp scampi on a bed of pasta with a little garlic bread and sweet potato fries. Both were pretty good. Not spectacular, wow I have to go again lunch and dinner today and tomorrow, but not bad either. The gumbo was nice, hot and tasty. The bowl was huge. The poboy was good but as someone said, it's a sangawich. The Crab cakes were good. Some lump and good flavor. The seafood delight was very large and filling. Plenty of good stiff in there. Shrimp, fish, sauce etc. Nice mix and good taste. My blacken snapper was really fresh and full of flavor. The Crab was a nice touch and really complimented the fish. The sauce was nice also. Coleslaw was Sweet Southern style and the hush puppies but were nice. We ended our meal with a slice of chocolate oreo and a key lime pie. Our meal was fantastic. The service was great. We had a seat outside in the corner of the balcony. Great view. Great weather, which we ordered. Sea gulls behaved and didn't swoop down and steal out food. We really enjoyed everything. Killer spot right in the water. Great backstory and excellent views. Air conditioning spot on which is important in the swamp cooler that is Biloxi. There is no bad food here. We had a work dinner. Bad first impression! The front desk lady was mid conversation with one of the server as we walked in. She said hello and grab two utensils and walked away; I assumed we were being seated so we followed - maybe a verbal gesture of "please follow me" would clear the awkward feeling. We both ordered the crab meat po' boy with fries but I opted for the gumbo. The gumbo was delicious and generous on the shrimp. On the other hand, the crab meat po' boy was subpar. Date night! This was a great choice! It was @4:30pm on a Friday night and not crowded at the time. We were given a choice of seating and we choose to be on the balcony. The sunset and views were so worth it!!! It did start to get a little chilly after sunset this time of year. We skipped appetizers since the meals seemed to be large enough. My husband had the harbor special platter, with blackened snapper, fries and a salad! It was all delish and the sauce on the fish with a squeeze of lemon he said Delicious ! I had the mahi-mahi with coleslaw and fried okra, the mahi-mahi was divine grilled, the okra fried to perfection, also a few hush puppies were also great! So, these guys have consolidated their former locations into a single spot at the marina in Biloxi. We had been meaning to try them for years but never got the chance until this past December. Their new location is very bare bones and feels temporary or maybe like it was a different sort of business that they were forced to suddenly move into. The interior is very dark and a bit dreary...drop ceilings with fluorescent lights...cheap metal chairs & tables like you'd find in the corner of a convenient store... That said, it was clean. The employees were all very polite and nice and accommodating. Even though we were one of the only tables in the place and it was less than an hour before closing on a cold storming Saturday night, they made it a point to stress that we didn't need to rush and could take as long as we liked. Likewise, the entire menu was available and every single thing every person ordered was prepared quickly, delivered to us hot, and it was obvious that every bit of seafood they'd cooked us was 100% fresh, 100% local, and 100% just like it's supposed to be! (And just like it used to be up and down the coast years ago!) The shrimp were all huge and properly deveined regardless of the type of shrimp or how you ordered them. The gumbo was good and tasted better than what you get from most New Orleans restaurants these days (and it wasn't that gooey tourist garbage most of the ones in the quarter serve that's made with canned Blue Runner 'gumbo base' (yuck!)!). The only dish that let us down a little was the crab claws as the basket wasn't that big for the price, the claws themselves were pretty small compared to other places, and they were a bit overcooked (probably because they were so tiny). That said, whilst they weren't great, they weren't terrible either. Overall, this place is a hidden gem when it comes to the food! If I were basing this review solely on the food and service, I'd be giving them 5 stars, but I'm dropping it down to 4 stars just because the atmosphere really really lets it down and is depressing enough to truly detract from the overall experience. Here's hoping the owners will invest a few thousand into their dining room to bring it up to the same level as their delicious food! read more

We have been to this location, and to the former sister location in Ocean Springs a handful of times. Some of the extended family like it, so we continue to visit from time to time. This location is a bit run down. Considering the location among tourist row, I am surprised that they haven't given it a much needed face-lift. It is a bit dark and depressing, so don't head here for special occasions. The food is so-so. The gumbo is good, everything else kind of blah. On my last visit, I had the blackened gulf shrimp and fried okra. The okra was soggy and the shrimp was just okay. My son's dish had a bit of a fishy taste to it- not as in "yum, seafood!", but more like that old fish taste that makes you question what you are eating. A friend recommended this place as the best gumbo on the coast so I had to try. The gumbo is very good. The cup portion is small and for 8$ would definitely not be worth it. However for lunch they did have a 1/2 poboy with gumbo for 12:50$. I ordered a blackened fish poboy. Most poboy breads are saturated with the sauce but this took it to the next level and the bread was not up for the challenge. I started eating immediately and the bread was already so soggy. The blackened fish had no flavor. So it honestly tasted like eating soggy bread with lettuce and tomatoes, with the occasional tarter sauce I added to mix it up the bread flavor. I'm really glad I did! They were the biggest juiciest and freshest oysters I've ever had. And I know they were fresh because there wasn't any hint of the fishy smell that I'm used to back home in Milwaukee. The Bloody Mary was also very good. Sadly both pieces of fish were very chewy. They weren't fishy tasting, so I'm curious if they were previously frozen. Portions were good sized. Fries had a cornmeal breading and were good. Fries pickles were awesome! Our server must be worn out, she seemed like in a big hurry to get our order and very short on stay and lacking enthusiasm. I almost felt like we were an annoyance just by showing up. But I'm going to cut her slack and say maybe due to none of us small biz owners having enough staff, she just might be worn out working a lot. First time here and loved it .. .no masks required. Beach front place with a rustic atmosphere. Lots of parking and had indoor and bar seating. Did not really see the inside seating because sat in the bar area overlooking the trawlers and water. It is simple and typical for a beach place. It sits up on stilts so you can walk up or take the elevator. Maybe walk up and after a few drinks, use the elevator to get down . I can't believe I don't remember but I don't think they had draft beer, but I did have a really good local somewhat dark bottled beer. I don't remember the name, but it was like a country boil, had shrimp (TONS of large shrimp), one sausage (needed more), potatoes and corn. There was so much shrimp I could not eat it all. It was really good but could have had more flavor (spicing) and more than one small piece of sausage. Waitress was excellent, friendly, and kept me in beer and napkins.
