Pistachio Milk Latte and Rose Alfajores traditional Uruguayan/Argentinian cookie filled with dulce de leche. $14.70 after tax and tip.
    Daniel B.

I had MCM Coffee's Pistachio Milk Latte and Rose Alfajores, which cost $14.70 after tax and tip. Both the latte and cookie hit the spot for a quick snack and pick-me-up. The latte was well made. I enjoyed its distinct and nutty pistachio flavor. The cookie was terrific. Alfajores is a South American cookie sandwich filled with dulce de leche. There were rose petal flakes on top and I think rose flavor in the filling. The cookies themselves were buttery and scrumptious. I could tell these items were made with care. My wife found this place after doing a Yelp search for cafes near the hotel we stayed at, Gild Hall. MCM is only a couple blocks north (three-minute walk). They have a cute little basement space with a street-facing storefront and order/pickup window beneath a dry cleaning business. Along with coffee and alfajores, they offer tea, croissants, empanadas, and sandwiches. They also sell handmade ceramics like unique coffee mugs with interesting designs. Good service. MCM Coffee is owned and operated by a brother and sister from Uruguay. It opened in December 2022 and is located in the Financial District (FiDi) in Lower Manhattan, NYC. This business is as local and independent as it gets. It's got an artsy, hip, and humble vibe. Check 'em out on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/themcmcoffee

very hidden/lowkey coffee shop on Fulton st in the seaport area. Lovely selection of different coffees, teas & pastries. They also have ceramics for sale on the side! Super small shop but you should definitely stop by, the staff were super friendly and the vibes were great. Had the rose petal pistachio milk latte and it was definitely different but much needed in this winter weather :)

Got a butter croissant and 2 iced lattes. Very quick service. Location is very tiny and you go few stairs down and order and get your order from a window from street level. Both items were great.

This little store caught my eye while walking towards the Wall Street Pier 11 however it was closed so I made a mental note to come back last year and I am so glad I did! I've been back to enjoy their unique homemade alfajores. I love their Matcha alfajores but there are many other flavors to choose from. Another favorite; their empanadas are also not traditional but unique and deliciously good! Try the chimichurri sauce with them too. Every time I've visited, the staff is ready with a smile, patient and informative. Stop in and get a little something "to go" and enjoy something different. This time I tried one of the "Ojitos" pastries. Such a nice jammy blend with dulce de leche!!

Love the cute logo here and the baked empanadas. Friendly baristas and tight space sells ceramic cups too. I like the chicken empanadas more than the beef one.

This is a cute little place that allows you to just grab coffee and go! It's kind of hidden due how small it is but it feels nice inside. I ordered the Pistachio Late and it was fantastic. Apparently they use Pistachio milk for it which makes it unique in a way instead of just using Pistachio syrup. I would recommend this cute local place and of course their Pistachio Late!

Loved this place! Is super cute, quaint, lots of clay items to purchase, and great vibe. Ordered a lavender coffee with extra espresso and it turned out amazing.

Cutest little neighborhood coffee spot! Had the most dreamy lemon glaze alfajor today and will be back again for another soon. It was tangy, soft, and delicious, but all of the flavors looked amazing -- I need to try them all! I appreciate that they have a lot of fun latte flavors. I got an iced pistachio almond milk latte. It was pretty tasty -- on the sweeter side, but that's to be expected when getting a flavored drink. I think they have a dulce de leche cold brew, which I might have to try next time (sounds incredible)! They were also really nice in there. Great place to grab a drink and a treat if you're in the neighborhood!

MCM Coffee has been around '22, offering coffee beverages, pastries, and owner-handmade ceramics. It's a very small to-go cafe, as there are no seating inside, and about 1-2 people can fit inside at a time! I stopped by in the early morning, and tried their Dulce de Leche cold brew - it was creamy and tasty, but I wished the dulce de leche was mixed in a bit more or were drizzled on the side of the cup - it was all the way in the bottom, and with the flimsy straw, it was just hard to mix everything together. I was looking forward to trying out their empanadas, but they didn't have them available - maybe next time! Service was super friendly and welcoming! The cafe is very hard to miss, as you'll have to look for the folded sign and make your way down a few steps. +friendly service!

My friend and I kept walking past this place on our way to work so knew we had to give it a try. Very friendly barista and their coffee are so good!! Loved my americano and my friend loved her empanada and cappuccino. It's the perfect way to start off your day with the cafecito. Love that they also sell pottery!

The cookie I was most excited for was the corn cookie and the chocolate chip also looked really good. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the black & white cookie because for some reason I thought it was a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips, but it was actually just a regular cookie with black and white chips lol. The cookies themselves were really solid though. Nice light crisp around the edges with a chewy center without being overly gooey or underbaked. Definitely on the thicker side too, which I liked. Next time I'll have to try one of their espresso drinks!

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

I ordered an iced matcha einspanner ($6.95) with oat milk ($0.75) and loved that it already comes with a shot of espresso, so it was essentially a dirty matcha einspanner. I tried each layer on its own before mixing everything together and it was all really good. The matcha cream is the right amount of sweet and creamy and you can taste the matcha with just a hint of coffee. Since I'm a coffee fiend I added a bit more espresso when I got back to the hotel and it tasted even better while still keeping the matcha as the dominant flavor. Next time I would ask for less ice since it was freezing that morning, but on a warmer day the ice level would be perfect. Would love to come back to try their other drinks or order the einspanner again as a hot drink.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
