A friend and I were in the area for a convention and feeling like for some lunch and were happy to see a McMenamins in the area! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unlike the other locations, this one is a little smaller but it was really personable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender was great and let us split fish and chips into two servings with the pretzels appetizer. It was perfect and just enough for us both! The pretzels were warm and had a fluffy texture, with a delicious cheesy dip + the fish n chips were just enough freshness and not too oily at all. We also came shortly before happy hour closed which gave more options for our food and drinks!

I knew zero about this restaurant apart from seeing other Yelpers talk about it. That's what made me want to check it out. I'm so glad this was the first McManamins I visited (I mean, I'm sure many others have awesome things to recommend them as well). They pride themselves here on being the location where Grateful Dead fans congregated after the final Grateful Dead show in Seattle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is pub/whimsical/somewhat morbid carnival-esque, all at the same time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu offers lots of options as does the drink list - including several different kinds of flights. We got the wine flights, which featured Oregon reds, and they were delicious; the presentation was also fun and creative. Our server was fantastic.

We are on vacation with 1 night in Seattle. The only restaurant/pub we ate at. Great customer service and a great burger and tuna sandwich.

So we came here for a few drinks and some late night grubs. Ordered the veggie platter and the soft pretzel sticks. Both were just amazing!!! I actually kinda wish we were hungrier so we could order actual food. Either way it was yummy. And I definitely recommend!

Excellent experience and one I have come to expect from other McMenamins locations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon after checking out the children's museum. It was a fairly easy walk and kid friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good and our waiter checked in enough times where we never felt forgotten but also never felt we were being pestered. The menu in typical McMenamins fashion was a blend of different types of American gastropub food. But lets be real, one of the reasons you come to any McMenamins is the beer choices. My personal favorite is the Hammerhead IPA. I actually ordered an old fashion in addition to my beer because of how generous the pours were when I saw my friend order it. I definitely recommend and look forward to a future visit.

This is your typical McMenamins' fare. It's an order building but nothing super unique. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for happy hour and got a flight of beers and a few appetizers. As always - the beer selections were awesome, almost too many to choose from so the flight gave us some good variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space wasn't busy and our waitress was fairly attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was a bit cold in terms of temperature with some awkward seating arrangements.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came in with a large party and were seated in no time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cozy inside and we got drinks pretty quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Seems like they were short staffed, but they were able to get all of our food out around the same time. Nothing much to say about the food besides it was awesome and we all left very, very full.

Being from Jersey I had never heard of McMenamins. My boyfriend and I were staying in the Pineapple Hotel just down the block. When I searched up places to grab a quick bite this showed up and I'm happy we went with it! Our servers were fantastic. Super helpful and friendly. We just got a flight and their delicious Scooby Snacks and sliders. I especially loved the Portland ketchup and mustard - both delicious. The food was great, the sliders were absolutely fantastic. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. There's attention to detail everywhere you turn. The ceilings, corners, windows, the plants. Everything is beautiful and well thought out. I couldn't stop staring everywhere. I'm glad we made a stop here.

Trucker burger with pimento cheese and potato chips at the top there. Plus their Cajun tater tots.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
