Stopped here after a LONG day of hiking, heading back to Duluth. Quick service, and really decent food! Husband got a basic cheeseburger, cooked medium-well, and he said they cooked it perfectly. Our server was excellent and what a menu! We were visiting from Wisconsin and wanted a place for dinner. Yelp recommended this place highly and we can see why. Ok this is THE BEST restaurant in Two Harbors and we've done em all!! The chef has prepared a delicious menu! The salmon is flown in fresh , the confit fries are crispy and delicious, the salad looks like it was picked fresh and the blue cheese dressing homemade! Top is all off with a homemade mocha crème brûlée! My wife had the roasted beet salad with chicken and nearly fainted at the deliciousness of it! Roasting beets is an art bc you want them charred without becoming mushy and they pulled it off. Btw dinner for two including wine for my wife was under $49! read more

Passing through on a family road trip, and wow... excellent foods and taps! I had the bulgogi tacos from the daily special menu, which blew me away. They were able to substitute for an Alfredo sauce on the kids menu for my somewhat picky daughter. My wife and eldest split the jalapeño burger, of which I managed to swap a bite, and it too was amazing. Adam provided excellent service; attentive and friendly. Great dinner, I really enjoyed the chicken wild rice soup. We had a burger and chicken wings, and it was very good. The place was packed but we had great service and received our food quickly. Prices were reasonable. The menu had several other much fancier items that we will try next time. And we will be back for sure ! read more

I'm so happy we followed the other great reviews of this place and stopped for a late lunch here today after some morning hiking. Very friendly staff and easy, relaxing atmosphere with classic crooners like Sinatra playing. We sat at the bar and could see the chef in the kitchen carefully preparing each order. The food!! We ordered the special which was a delicious, generously-sized piece of fresh salmon, seared beautifully and served with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. So amazing - and lovely presentation, too. We also has the wild rice soup which was some of the best I've ever eaten. This is truly a gem - go here!! read more

Well, I was thinking about a beer all the way from Lutsen. I'm still thinking because after walking up to the building, which was sporting an "OPEN" sign, we saw a sheet of typing paper on the door that said "we will be closed through September 30." To get stars, you have to at least be open, or TAKE DOWN THE "OPEN" SIGN. read more

First visit to McQuade's and it has vaulted to my favorite restaurant in the North Shore. The fish is flown in fresh, the salads are incredibly fresh and the menu has many interesting and delicious choices. And, the service is outstanding. Love it and you will too! read more

Decent food. I would say that they probably do a fine burger or sandwich. I had the falafel sandwich (I know, ordering falafel in two harbors) and it was greasy and uninspired. So glad to see a partial wall between bar and restaurant areas; unfortunately, you can still hear babies and misbehaving/undisciplined children from the bar. The ambiance needs help!!! Bar area should not be so brightly lit. Authentic decor is needed. And if you're going to play music by names like Sinatra and Presley, it better be the real thing. Ditch the cover music. The place has potential, and I will return, but they need to decide on a theme/personality and commit to it. read more
