My coworkers are always raving about this place. It's my first time trying Meat n' Greet. I had the Foghorn Leghorn. A grilled chicken breast tossed in honey BBQ with fried pork belly, spinach, shredded carrots, and ranch. So good and so filling! The fried okra is amazing! I loved the atmosphere and the service was friendly, fast, and spot on. It's such a great spot on the Newnan Square. If I hadn't filled up on my meal, I'd have tried the Moon Pie Bread Pudding. My husband and I went in tonight and were seated immediately. We ordered the pimento cheese plate, PBC hotdog and the Heavy Hitter with pasta salad. This is our second time trying out this cute little restaurant in downtown. The first time we had burgers to go and the only disappointment was my fries were over cooked. Tonight was pretty much the same excellent food and service with the exception of burnt chips for the cheese plate. The staff brought us out Fritos when requested. An underrated gem located in downtown Newnan! My mother and I walked into MnG for a late lunch and were immediately welcomed so kindly by the staff. This truly made our visit so memorable. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive as well. We started with the wings as an appetizer and were impressed by the size of them. The wings are a decent size and not the finger bites that other restaurants give out and charge an arm and leg for. The wings were well seasoned and cooked just the way that we liked them. I ordered the High West burger and knew that I would be returning to the restaurant after the first bite. Although I had numerous toppings and sauces on my burger, the actual hamburger patty itself still managed to stand out which is something that other restaurants can fail to do. The menu items are fairly priced and well worth every penny you spend. Make sure you go to Meat n Greet if you're looking for an AMAZING burger in Newnan. read more

This restaurant is up there with what my husband and I jokingly refer to as "stupid good". When you take a bite, and all you can do is just shake your head, it's that good. We stopped by for a quick dinner on a Monday evening, and were not disappointed by the previous reviewers. After much deliberation over their mouth watering menu, I settled on the High West burger, with a side of their 3 cheese (or was it 4 cheese? Anyway, it was a lot of cheeses) mac and cheese. My burger was so juicy, seasoned, and delicious, cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was also HUGE. So huge and so delicious in fact that I ate my leftovers cold the next day. My husband had a plain jane bacon cheeseburger, and also attested to the patty's tasty seasonings. I only wish that we passed through Newnan more often to make this a regular stop! read more

The decor was very relaxed and all of the other diners appeared to be having a wonderful time. The food was extraordinary, and that's coming from a Professional Chef. Perhaps the best burger I've ever tasted! And the Black Walnut Manhattan was an experience. I fully recommend this place to every one and encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. This is my go to, excellent beer, I love the Wild West burger, the okra and chimi mayo, and a craft beer. It's always good and the servers are so kind. Meat 'n Greet is a gem in the heart of historical downtown Newnan. We decided to visit upon our visit to Historical Banning Mills on a weekday afternoon. Our servers serve us attentively - from refilling our drinks to introducing us the menu. We ordered a "One eye Willie" burger, with a side of fried okra, a smoked chicken salad and a moon pie bread pudding. The fried okra was spectacular. Instead of chopping okra in pieces, the okra is fried as a whole. We couldn't resist finishing the last bite of it. The burger is good. The egg is over-easy while the meat is medium. My corny dog was THE BEST! I'm from Texas and love state fair food. When I saw the Dip-N-Dog on the menu my heart lept with joy since it is October...state fair season in Dallas. IT WAS DELICIOUS! My husband ordered a burger and LOVED it. He said the three meats made it taste really good. Great drink menu...I had a cider. Atmosphere and service was chill and very friendly.
