I love freshly fried eggrolls! The Ramen was also super tasty, and I wish I could have taken the rest home, but I was visiting and at least got to enjoy it while here. The service was very prompt and friendly. Oh, and don't forget the boba! I got the mango one (spiked, of course )! read more

Customer service was great! The ambiance at Mecha Noodle bar was amazing, we tried the pork belly bao (first time having this) and it was packed with flavor and was delicious. Our waiter gave let us try the KFC Bao on the house and wow so delicious. The pork belly was my favorite out of the two. For our ramen, who both ordered the TONKOTSU 2.0 which was also very good. I'm looking forward to returning to Mecha Noodle Bar 10/10 read more

Absolutely loved our visit here. We came as a walk in party of 4 on a Friday night after having some beers next door. It was our last night on the east coast before flying home and we were craving asian food after a week of seafood. We had pho, ramen, short ribs, bao buns, spicy edamame, sake and some cocktails. Everything was amazing. Our server was so sweet too and was constantly checking up on us. The spot was vibey and fun. Super close to our hotel so was the perfect late night/last meal spot for us. Would definitely checkout again when in the area!! read more

I love the ambiance of this space and the food is delicious! Came here with a friend early in the evening and made it in time for their happy hour deals (apps and noodle dish half price/discounted). We tried pork buns, a ramen, and another noodle dish, which were all very flavorful and tasty. I will definitely return to try other items on their menu! read more

This place is cool. The atmosphere & the staff are positive, relax & cozy. We got the veggie ramen & I added avocado to mine. The broth was tasty and the mushrooms were delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly to my taste, the texture was great, I really enjoyed them. Maybe just a tiny bit too salty. We had the Thai tea boba & the coconut water. The coconut water was interesting, nothing like anything I had had before, I highly suggest you trying it. The boba was also tasty. read more

The servers are really nice. One of them ran to get the door when they saw my baby stroller, a plus for generosity. I really wanted to try the Spicy Tan Tan Men since I love the Costco bowl kind. Unfortunately they didn't have it today, so I got the Spicy Beef Ramen instead and I am pleasantly surprised by the taste of the broth. It has a rich and creamy taste, not too spicy and not too little spice either, just enough (although my personal taste prefers something spicier). I really like how the egg isn't as salty as other places and the beef is really tender. I also got a Limeade to try and compared to how other Vietnamese places make it, it's not as sweet but still good nonetheless! Overall I'm so happy this restaurant is living up to its social media hype. Would love to come again to try the Tan Tan Men when it's available. read more

Ok this place surprised me - I've had this before in CT and I was a little disappointed but to my delight I was pretty content with the dishes we had at this location! A place that has more than one type of cuisine usually have me pretty skeptical - they have both pho and ramen at this shop. I love noodles and am constantly on the guest for yummy noods. We tried the ramen this time and it was pretty good! The broth on the tonkotsu was my favorite - clean but rich but not too heavy and the noodles were cooked nicely. Even the meat was juicy usually the meat can be a tad dry and I appreciate that they used fatty slices (how it's traditionally served) vs the no fat too dry slices. Another plus is the chili dumplings was delicious - love the sauce it sat in. Overall friendly service, spacious location with high ceilings, a little noisy but expected for a casual dining spot. Will be back to try the pho! read more

If you want Bubble Tea, this is not the place. It has few offerings and they were out when we visited (which was the reason we went there). Bubble tea should be removed from this listing. It's a much better noodle bar than bubble tea spot. The ambiance is a fun, causal, hip place with a younger crowd. Decor is sparse industrial with high tops and tables. We went at night and they had very upbeat music, loud so conversations blended in with ambient sound. A nice vibe with exuberant energy. The ceiling installation of vertical 2by4 boards is well designed and beautiful in its simplicity. Also, a clever way to alter the noise level. Food is tasty but not spectacular. Bao bun was delicious and the waiter's excellent suggestion, when pressed to make one. The Pho Ga soup was succulent. The broth, with a sprig of Asian basil, mung beans, and fresh lime squirt, was tangy and tantalizing. But there was very little meat. The two pieces in the bowl were not shredded and overcooked. Spicy beef ramen was robust and totally enjoyable. Noodles firm. Vietnamese style hot coffee was strong and lip smacking. Thai iced tea also well made and flavors complemented each other. Sadly, the fried rice was so intensely salty a salt fanatic would not finish it. It had a tad too much oil which did not balance with the various salts in the dish. Almost though. Almost. Wait staff knew the menu well. But they were slightly arrogant and annoying in their blissful youthful ignorance. For example, showing frustration on their face, arguing with their boss in the dining room, forgetting an order and not being in control so as to be visibly annoyed constantly. When a customer double checks something after staff has made errors, there's no place for staff to be snarky even if they are 100% in the right. The front staff also was inexperienced and could not answer one simple question, "Where is parking?" This should be memorized by every staff member especially the host staff. Instead of answering the question, they literally babbled about what we could do without once saying where the parking was. The final answer was "Google it" We tried and there was no reception in the restaurant. So we Googled it outside and found a $34 dollar an hour garage. Staff clearly could have directed us to a less expensive garage--if they had experience which they admitted they did not. The dining room manager, on the other hand, was a total professional. She should be tapped to train staff in both keeping cool and service manners. She had an in charge sophisticated approach. I definitely recommend but foodies looking for "the experience" will need to open their mind to accepting GenZ service standards. Fun! read more

I came here in a big group of seven on a weeknight. It was pretty easy making a reservation. They have seating upstairs as well, which is where my friends and me were. The ramen wasn't the most amazing ramen I've ever had in my life, but that's fine; it did its job. It looks like they had a lot of cool drinks/cocktails, so maybe those would be fun to try. It's nice that they added a ramen spot in the Seaport area so I'm glad it's here for variety in food options! read more

Great music playing when we walked in the door, it was a busy place but a reasonable volume. We were promptly addressed by the hostess and told it would be a 15 minute wait, but it wasn't long at all. We were fine chilling out as we had left Trillium after a few beers in search of food, walked a half a mile and promptly decided waiting until 10:45pm was not an option and turned back around to come here, right next to Trillium. It's December so not warm. Doing great. Once we were seated, the waiter was actually a staff member that we were chatting with while waiting for a table. He was attentive, filled with great food suggestions, and the food came out swiftly and hot. I had the Smoke Show, which was a solid mescal margarita, and my fiancé had a IPA. For food starters, we went with the Kung Pao shrimp per his suggestion which was slightly spicy, crunchy with a sticky, sweet sauce. It was served on a bed of sticky coconut rice that was also delicious. Definitely a CAN'T MISS app. We also ordered a side of egg rolls that were also solid. For entrees we had the spicy beef ramen and the Pho Bo vien. The broths were both so full of flavor and the spicy beef was just spicy enough, served with a beautiful soft egg and perfectly cooked sliced brisket. I slurped every bit of that broth down! I will say (because this is personal preference and I never eat all the noodles) if we come back, I would order half noodles in the ramen because there was a lot of noodles. My fiancé enjoyed his pho as well, promptly dipping some of our remaining egg rolls in it, for a flavor and texture explosion. Overall great experience and great first meal on our trip to Boston! read more

SO GOOD. We got the pork belly bao bun, tonkatsu and spicy beef ramen. That pork belly bao was incredible, thickest juiciest pork belly I've had in a while. Such a great starter! The tonkatsu was so creamy and delicious! That broth had so much flavor and I added the spicy oil and it added a good amount of spice and flavor to the ramen. The spicy beef tho was so incredible! Good amount of spice. The beef was so tender and as the hot peppers steeped in the soup it got spicer which was amazing. The broth also tasted a little like pho broth? The waiter said it has historically been a seasonal item so try it while it's on the menu! read more

First time coming here and it was a very pleasant experience. I really enjoyed the vibe as well and it wasn't too crowded. Their was also a dj playing house music which I enjoyed and their was anime on the TVs. The food was also really delicious we ordered mushroom dumplings and I got the vegetarian ramen. I loved the dumplings they have lost of flavor but my ramen was a little too salty and one dimensional. It was still good tho! Also pj I believe the manger gave us free drinks very tasty ! read more

Service was quick and friendly, which I appreciated. However, for the $16-19 you pay for the noodles and meals/ There was barely any beef in my friend's pho, they make you pay extra to get an actual amount of beef. Solid ramen option. Service was good. The interior and ambience is rocking and has a great vibe to it. The star for us with the food was the pork dumplings and the spicy oil sauce. The ramen was good, but not stellar given the high cost. Also, the ramen should have came with a hard-boiled egg which it didn't. For context, we live in Los Angeles and the price for the ramen is the same as Boston. Now I get that seaport is a super pricey and up and coming location, but the price is too high for the quality. Still don't know how Boston's cost of living exceeds Los Angeles when it comes to dining out. Props to Bostonians and all the money they're making, they're putting Los Angeles and San Francisco to shame when it comes to dining out costliness. read more

What a cool place. Centered around a bar, people of all types gather for flavorful soups and tasty bao buns (both pork and mushroom are good). Sit at the bar for the best experience, and you can peer in and see flames shoot up from the dishes being prepared. Service is speedy and wait staff is friendly. Aesthetic is modern-minimalistic Asian. Quality of food is good. Presentation is also on point. Overall, a solid addition to the Seaport area. Love their chicken pho soup - it's the best comfort food on a cold Boston day (or when you have a hangover like stated on the menu description lol). Broth has depth, noodle consistency is perfect. My go-to order when I'm there. KFC baos - slightly over hyped for the price, but flavors are good. The chicken strip is like the consistency of a dino nugget, not what I was expecting when I read "KFC" but its good nonetheless. Kimchi fried rice - perfection. I prefer mine even spicer, so adding Sriracha is a must try. Perhaps my least favorite items have been the egg rolls and ramen. Last time I ordered, both the egg rolls and ramen came out cold. Even worse the ramen noodles were extremely hard. This was however, opening week - so unsure if the quality has since improved... read more

Highly recommend the edamame, but phos are too salty. Not so recommend considering the salty taste and high-price. The environment is nice and there's Naruto on TV. Service is also nice, we are asked if we need to order by two friendly waitors. We ordered an edamame, which is /roasted with garlic. The roasted flavor is just done to a turn! The beans are fresh, everything is perfect. However, the phos are not as good because it's too salty. You would put sprouts and lemons in it by yourself, which looks fresh and local. But the soup and meat are just too much salt -- I don't expect that phos are that salty in Vietnam. read more

Came for lunch on a weekday - plenty of two and four tops open, and open seats at the bar. Nice space, big windows, cool decor, music was bumpin'... but the food fell short. I got the Tonkotsu ramen ($16.50). Thin straight noodles did not have very good 'chew', felt dense. Broth was ok, unspectacular. The toppings it came with were... sloppy. One last thing - all the seats in the place are short or high stools. There are no chair backs, such as for putting your coat. read more

TLDR: Fun Spot with good food but a bit loud The restaurant is in a loft space and makes great use of all space. The ceiling are tall and have very cool hanging wood bars that should act to dampen the noise. However despite the really creative and cool design the music was just a bit loud so I ended up having to speak at an uncomfortable volume. Aye at the bar and the service from the bartender was great, he was extremely nice and happy to create any drink you wanted. He was also fairly attentive and made good conversation when he was around. The food came out reasonably quick without much wait. It was thoughtful and seemed to include decent ingredients that were relatively fresh. It was great for the price point and even hit above its price point pretty well if I'm being honest. Mecha Noodle Bar is a casual yet chic Asian restaurant that certainly fits the "Seaport vibe." The menu includes a variety of Asian comfort foods and the atmosphere is upbeat/fun -- it's definitely not a "no frills" ramen/pho shop. Overall, the food didn't blow me away, but it's nice that there's a more casual / authentic Asian food option in Seaport. Come here for the vibes, but if you're looking for really good ramen or pho or other Asian food, I'd probably walk over to Chinatown. Some thoughts on the food... The Pork Belly Bao was cold and the pork belly itself was thick, tough, and not very flavorful. The Tonkatsu Ramen was fine but there are other spots in the Boston area that do it better. Also, I wish I had known that the ramens came with different noodle types, as I wasn't a huge fan of the skinny / straight noodle that was in the tonkatsu. My friend had the Spicy Miso Ramen and said it was okay but not spicy at all. However, I was jealous that his ramen had thick / wavy yellow noodles. Note: their ramen was slightly cheaper than a lot of other ramen spots. The one dish we did all enjoy was the Kimchi Fried Rice with chicken, bacon, and a fried egg -- it was homey, comforting, and a great blend of flavors and textures. Food: 1. Pork Belly Bao (3/5) 2. Kimchi Fried Rice (4.5/5) 3. Tonkatsu Ramen (3.5/5) 4. Spicy Miso Ramen (3.5/5) Drink: 1. Virgin Yuzu Matcha Fruit Tea with Boba (4/5) read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. They open at 11:30am so I made sure I got there right at 11:30am to make sure I got a seat. That wasn't necessary, as they didn't start filling up until about noon. The place is super cute and unlike any place I've eaten. The decor is fun and inviting. It's quite a unique vibe that makes you feel good. Staff all were in a great mood and gave off awesome energy. I went with the pork belly Boa buns and a bowl of the Pho Tai. I wasn't a fan of the bao buns because of the pork belly being really fatty. I KNOW that's how pork belly is, but it was a bit fattier than usual for me. However, the bun was nice and fluffy and toppings were fresh and light. The pho was AMAZING!! It's hard to find in MA and when I saw it on the menu I had to get it. It was a bowl of pure yumminess!! I did miss having a few jalapeños that typically come with the side fixings. The beef was also a bit different than what I'm used to. It was smaller chunks of beef as opposed to larger thin pieces of beef. I was A ok with that. The bowl was still amazing. Ordered a bowl to-go which I'll see how it heats up. Their to-go packaging is also a bit different than what I'm used to. They combine the meat, noodles and fixings in one bowl with the broth separate. The combo of meat and noodles is what was different for me. A winner for me!! Love this place. read more

Honestly, I came across Mecha Noodle Bar on Instagram as it was labeled on of the best spots for noodles. After taking a little trip up to Boston just for this place, I was really disappointed. The service was great as the person whom helped us was super friendly. But, the food was personally not for me. If you're sensitive to oil and fats, this place is not for you. The pork belly and cha shu had the thickest layer of fat that I've ever come across. Additionally, the ramen sat in a broth that was more like inches of oil. I understand ramen broth can be a little oily but this was on a whole other level. Lastly, the dumpling. We've always wanted a dumpling that had more filling but biting into this one, it was more like a meatball. At the end of this, we left pretty sick. Alongside, we have avoided pork since. read more

Mecha noodle serves both ramen and pho. While it won't be as good as ramen in NY or CA, it's the best reccomended noodle shop from locals. The ramen noodles are a good texture, the pork is not too bad, and the broth is alright. It's a not too bad spot if you're craving ramen and aren't looking for super amazing ramen from foodie cities. The broth isn't bad but it doesn't at all like traditional ramen broth, almost as if there was a SA mix in it. An absolute gem in the seaport district!! I come here often for business lunches as well as dinners and the service and food are always phenomenal. If you're in the area and on a time crunch their lunch time is great as it's a quick and tasty lunch without having to take out! It's a cozy spot with 2 floors that serves Asian fusion but not like any Asian fusion you've had before as the execution is done WELL! Like pho with short rib?! Come on. The pho king is one of my absolute favorites and something I always order as the pho broth is rich and decedent and the short rib is soft and tender. It always comes paired with the traditional sides of vegetables to garnish the soup. Appetizers here are always simply amazing!! I love the mushroom dumplings, something I've never had before. Almost like a creamy rich mushroom ravioli with this insane brown butter miso sauce to accompany it. The sweet and sauce short ribs are also to die for. But dinosaur like ribs in this succulent hoisin and tamarind sauce that's soooo addicting and the best part is the ribs are cooked to perfection!! I don't know why they do to them, but they're not only fall off the bone but crispy on the outside as well!! read more
