Thomas is extremely knowledgeable, reasonably priced professional, punctual, and patient. He replaced a water pump, installed brake pads, rotors, and a thermostat. We purchased the parts for the car and unfortunately some of them were wrong. Thomas patiently waited while we purchased the correct parts. While he waited, he repaired the front bumper and installed a new battery. This work was not included in the quote. Nevertheless, he did NOT change his quote which was fair for what it covered. After looking through reviews at local repair shops and not being moved by the reviews, I came across Thomas with Mechanic On Wheels, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I suspected I had a blown strut on my Jeep and decided to reach out to him to see if he could help. He came out the next day and found that I actually had a bad control arm. He also pointed out an oil leak issue that is a known problem on my engine that I was not even aware of. Thomas was very knowledgeable and I love that he showed me all of the issues that I had so that I could see them for myself. He ended up doing a lot more work as I had a lot of age related maintenance issues, but he was very professional and very reasonable on his pricing. Since I no longer have all the equipment to do my own oil changes but I still like to buy the oil and filter I prefer. There were a couple shops that would just charge you a fair labor price, but those that I used no longer allow that. Thank you, Thomas! I needed motor mounts and transmission mount changed on my Mazda because the car was so loud and shaking so bad. You could feel the engine moving back and forth. I did my research on Yelp, and I found "Mechanic On Wheels", which had all 5 stars with real reviews. It was a plus that they come to you and it was also the most affordable quote! I have no clue about cars, so when I was quoted the parts and labor, I decided I could save some money by getting the parts myself. I ended up finding a 3rd party seller on Ebay, which I suggest you do at your own risk, because 3 out of 4 parts were wrong, even though I messaged the seller with all my car info and they assured me it was a fit. Fast forward to my appointment and I find out the parts are wrong. Thomas was very patient and waited as I went to AutoZone to pick up the correct parts. They only had one available, to which he changed out quickly. Overall, everything was done neatly and in a timely manner. If anything, I made him wait! Went for a test run, and literally in the first few seconds I could feel a tremendous difference in how smooth and quiet it was. It also picks up much quicker and doesn't shake when you turn the ignition. Instant smiles and relief after driving around how it was before. Last thing to note is, unless you are a professional, I would just go with the original quote for parts and labor. He was very fair with the pricing.
