Kifta Kabob sandwich with a little hot sauce. Excellent!
    Adam S.

Tasty shawarma and kabobs. Delicious lunch options. MGH used to be located inside the tunnel by Beck's Prime, but moved a short walk away to the Schlotsky's restaurant area of the tunnel. For the most part, you can order shawarma or kabobs, sandwich or platter, beef or chicken. I like to order the sandwich. You don't get the two sides, but a side salad is included for a little over $7. On my last visit, I had a beef kifta kabob sandwich. The bread was fresh and the meat was tasty.

Gyro plate. Best tasting gyro I've had and love the spicy sauce. The rice was however not fresh and I recommend they change to regular Mediterranean rice instead of the pilaf at this time which is more likely to go bad since the tunnel isn't being used much. Great food overall though. The service was good as well.

The Mediterranean Grill House is a hidden gem in the tunnel. They serve a lot of food for a decent price. We visited the location right before the line got too crazy. We enjoyed the: - Chicken Shawarma Plate - Hummus - Gyro Salad - Gyro Plate

Beef schwerma plate with rice pilaf, tabouli, pickles and onions with an iced tea.

Went there for lunch for the first time. Had the beef schwerma plate. The food was "okay." The tabouli and pickles were delicious, but the beef and rice pilaf were average. This place is near work, so I may go back if I need a hit of Mediterranean food again, which is likely. I'll also keep an eye-out for other Mediterranean food joints in the area.

Acceptable food at a reasonable price for the area. It's nice to be able to get baba ganoush in the tunnels. It's in a pretty new food court in the esperson building with plenty of seating. I ordered the gyro plate and the food tasted fresh and was very filling. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

My favorite gyro place in downtown Houston. The staff is very friendly and the food is priced right. I eat here about once a week!

As busy as they were, we had 3 managers stop by to ask how we were doing. - Food was awesome. I don't even know what we ordered since we had a native Persian friend that ordered for us. All I can say that the kebab, soltani, lamb ribs, and Persian ice cream, were amazing. - Modern, clean ambiance. Bad: - Gets crowded during busy the weekends. Reservation is needed. - This place will get you fat. Other: Complimentary valet. Overall: I will be going back soon.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

Only one other table was occupied, and someone who seemed to be the owner warmly greeted my group of 5 with some menus and an offer for Turkish coffee and tea. The lunch special is quite generous, and includes a wide array of starters and entrees. With 5 people, we tried 5 different appetizers and 5 different entrees and got a good sampling of their menu. The chicken shish kebab, falafel, lamb kebab, and menemen were all well seasoned and paired nicely with the many dishes of rice, salad, and flatbread they all came with. The lentil soup was also delicious. I was with my parents, who really only have a desire to eat East and Southeast Asian food, but they still enjoyed our meal here, which is saying a lot.
