We go here often. This is by far the best and the most consistent kebab (kabop) you can ever have in the area. I recommend the Alexandre kebab, especially if you never had one before. This is as close as you can get to the ones in Turkey. Their döner (gyro) plate is delicious. Their beef, chicken, swordfish shish kebab are juicy and amazing. You can also get them as plates which includes rice and salad. They offer a wide variety of Turkish desserts like Kazandibi, künefe as well as classics like Baklava. After having a good lunch/dinner ask the owners some tea or even Turkish coffee. Maybe the best part about this place is the friendliest owners and staff. read more

I've gone here a few times but mostly ordered their vegetarian wrap that is really delicious and filling. I also order their wonderful their spanakopita to go because it is super-sized but also super yummy. I finally had the opportunity to order their appetizer platter and it did not disappoint. Honestly I've ordered from here before and I've loved the food. I ordered for take out and didn't receive what I ordered. I was craving Mediterranean food so I decided to postmate it to my hotel, I left very specific instructions for the kitchen as to what I wanted on the side and special requests, my order arrived not following any of the special requests and was missing the rice, it also did not look even close to how advertised. A good quick and affordable meal right on Burlingame Ave. I think there are definitely better Mediterranean places in the bay area with similar options but this place has some good food and they are very nice. I got the falafel wrap. The falafels were great. Nice and crispy and brown on the exterior and the perfect consistency on the inside. The greek salad with chicken on top is good too. This is the place I used to run to for my quick fix for Middle Eastern/Greek food. I have had better, and definitely have had worse, so I never really minded it as something that was thrown into the lunch rotation. I usually ended up getting the chicken shawarma with a side of hummus, but I always had to ask for a side of yogurt and hot sauce because the wrap was so dry. The hummus was decent, and was a big enough order to share and take home. So why am I writing this in the past tense? Well, that is because I have found a new place that kicks butt in terms of Middle Eastern food. Come here for average, run of the mill, slightly higher priced Mediterranean food. I like coming to Mediterranean Kebab whenever I feel like having mediterranean food because the food is reasonably priced and delicious. * lamb and beef gyros - thinly sliced lamb and beef in a wrap, makes for a handy lunch * lamb and beef gyros plate - my favorite, thinly sliced lamb and beef, butter rice, pickled red cabbage, salad, tahini sauce on the side, and pita bread to go with it. I eat practically everything on the plate, even though i can easily split it in two and save it for another meal. cuz it's just that good! Everything here tastes really fresh and not heavy. They got our food out fast, even when we had a large group. The people are also very nice, both at the counter where you order or at the table if you need more tahini, pita bread, etc. Definitely come here if you're craving some mediterranean food! read more

MM and I love this place! You can call ahead on a busy weeknight and have dinner ready to take home. We like the chicken kebabs which comes with a nice salad (always crispy and fresh) and their own rice pilaf and warm pita bread. Order the house made hummus, it is also yummy! Everything here is delicious and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is always clean, the service is always friendly and attentive. What more can you ask for? PS - For the reviewer that thinks the portion sizes are not generous... that's just plain scary. If you can eat all of that and still be hungry, you either have a tapeworm or an eating disorder. Ever since I was introduced to falaffels last month at Falaffel drive in in San Jose, I've fallen in love with them. But of course, it set the standard pretty high. I was shopping on Bgame Ave last night (Monday night) and I had all the stores to myself, granted they were not all open, but the ones I frequent were open. I wanted to grab some take out that was quick and easy for dinner so I went into Mediterranean Kabab since I saw falaffels were fairly cheap (for Bgame ave) at 5.50. I figure I can eat half of it for dinner and half of it for lunch. I've eaten here once before and the staff has been a consistent friendly, but I was somewhat disappointed with their falaffel wrap, mainly because I expected some type of hot sauce with it. I found it kinda bland. But it was OK, but it fell a bit short of my expectations. To be fair, may be I was supposed to add hot sauce on it? I can't remember if there was an area of condiments where I could add my hot sauce or may be I was supposed to ask for it? I have no idea. They should change the name to falafel heaven. Their little balls of pleasure have the perfect crunch on the outside, are firm yet juicy in the middle with just the right smudge of tahini and (I suspect) harissa to give it some heat. The tabbouleh has the perfect acidity and tastes wonderfully fresh making a perfect foil to the falaffel. The baklava reminds me of how my mother used to make them (that is a compliment by the way, she was a great cook) and with a cup of strong, black turkish coffee it rounded the meal off nicely. I woke up at 3am wishing I had bought some baklava to go. It's not full service but the staff are incredibly friendly and the airy dining room, open to the street, is pleasant to sit in on a warm evening. So why not the extra star? I prefer my lavash wrap warmed a little so it is soft. This was a bit dry. Harsh but fair, I thought. Definitely on my list for the occasional snack in between meals. ----------------------------------- I love this company! It's two days later and they've just brought in lunch from Mediterranean Kebab and given me the chance to try the Adna Kebab that had tempted me on my recent visit and it's as succulent and tasty as I had hoped it would be. We go there sometimes, but prefer order over the phone for take out,BUT the problem is the new woman who take order over the phone CAN HARDLY SPEAK ENGLISH. I don't even want to read anyone else's review of this place because I have never had a bad experience here nor have I ever had anything but tummy stuffing deliciousness. I actually crave their chicken wraps and will drive from my happy little home in San Mateo over to no-parking-land just to get one. My daughter and I sit outside in the sun, have our hummus (served with warm pitas!) and savor the absolute yummy that is our food. My fave combo is a side of Tabbouleh served with Pita bread, a side of hummus (to mix with said Tabbouleh), and a chicken kebab on the side. The chicken is so tender and flavorful, I need no Tahini or any other shenanigans to eat it up. I don't eat lamb nor do I eat beef so I can't comment but I've been feeding myself here since they opened and can't find anything I don't like....wait, except for the toilet roll dispenser that attacks you when you use the restroom. I'm not a big fan of Mediterranean food but this place is pretty good. My fiancé and I ordered the chicken kebab and falafel wrap. The deep fried garbanzo bean balls in the wrap were very crispy and tasted like fried chicken skin...yummy! For $7 a wrap, I thought it was rather big and decent pricing. The wrap was a little on the dry side to eat but overall not bad. The chicken kebab was very good though. Chicken was tender and not too dry. My husband and I discovered Burlingame Avenue a year ago, and were back in the Bay Area. We were glad that we stopped here for some Mediterranean food. It's small and casual. Also quick and fresh, and reasonably priced! We love how they make their hummus - not overpowered with garlic, with a nice roasted flavor to it. One of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants of all time. A's dish of choice: Alexander Plate. The Alexander Plate is very, very tasty. The meat is moist and the yogurt sauce is the perfect complement. If A could eat it every day for the rest of his life, he would. K's dish of choice: Appetizer combo plate. Many places have a similar plate of Mediterranean appetizers, but we think "Kebab" has the best. The hummus is super fresh and tabbouleh is yummy as well. The only thing that falls short is falafel, which is a bit dry. If you come here on a Saturday, we advise avoiding the lunch hour. Burlingame Avenue tends to be clogged up on weekends, so off-peaks times are the preferred times to dine. It's not built for a lavish sit-down experience. read more

It sort of looks like a burrito but with different type of wrap. It was ok but it was sort of dry. Fortunately my friend had some yogurt sauce left over from his appetizer to make the wrap a bit more tasty. My problem with this place is the price. Some of the dishes were a bit expensive for lunch. I've walked up and down Burlingame Ave. many a time and this place just seemed too unassuming to give a second look. Today I was coerced into having lunch here after hitting the gym with my cousin. When you walk in, the place is actually very spacious. I'm a sucker for high ceilings and open spaces. I decided to give their wrap with chicken gyros a try. Moderately priced at $5.95. It came out looking like a burrito, except longer. I liked the lavash bread that it was wrapped in, just like pita but thinner.
