Ordered take out from here. Food portions are small. Came with salad. Food tasted "cleaner" and less oily than other Mediterranean spots that I've tried but I felt like it was lacking in flavor. Chicken chunks were tad dry. Definitely need hot sauce to sizzauce it up. Wish it came in bigger serving size. Will probably try other Mediterranean spots.

Parking is a hit or miss on the side street. Very cute little restaurant. Service wasn't great. After we got seated , a bottle water was just placed on the table, very weird. Was offered wine after. we ordered food and not once did someone come back to ask if we needed anything more. The restaurant wasn't even busy either, there was just one other party next to us. Food was great. Wish the service was better, that really ties the experience all together. For this service , I should have just ordered to go.

Drove out from queens for a pickup order. Used to eat in here pre-covid and no major issues. I've gotten annoyed at other places about bottled water prices so I get that. Prices were fair for Mediterranean and quality was good, plenty of rice!

First, let's talk about the authenticity of this Mediterranean cuisine - chefs kiss! Even from the moment I walked in - the decor brought me to a whole other world! The service was more than amicable and attentive; it felt like family. Only thing I'm really sad about is that we were SO stuffed (and all took doggy bags home) that we didn't have room for dessert! I kept saying, "we have to save room for baklava!" Only gives me an excuse to go back soon They did however give us complimentary watermelon. Overall, we had such an amazing time; 8 of us. We had a blast, amazing food and good wine. Thank you so much Mediterranean Kebab House, see you soon!

This restaurant has great authentic flavor Mediterranean dishes . Delicious fresh hot soul food . The atmosphere in is quaint and cozy. Service is friendly and cater to your needs.

Look - we were charged for water that we did not order and we were refused tap water.

NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! As soon as we sat down we were brought a bottle of water. We refused it and asked for tap only to be told they don't give tap water. The bottle was left on the table but we never opened it. The bill arrived with the charge for the water and an expectation that we pay tax and tip on this water. I have never been denied water in any restaurant anywhere in the world. You can be sure I will never return to Mediterranean Kabob House!!! As for food, I ordered a gyro platter. I would have preferred a little extra salad instead of rice but was told NO SUBSTITUTIONS. So my dog will get the rice with his other food. The gyro meat came on a piece of pita. It needed the pita to soak up some of the grease. The meat was floating in a sea of fat. I love Mediterranean food but this was probably the worst experience I have ever had at any local restaurant. We used to eat here often but this place has gone WAY DOWN HILL!!! STAY AWAY. THERE ARE DO MANY BETTER CHOICES.

While I'm no stranger to Middle Eastern cuisine, this is the first time I've eaten Turkish food and found it to be uniqely delicious. Ordered directly from the restaurant for fast and free delivery, bypassing third party fees/hassles on both sides. Started with two slices of Lahmacun, a traditional Turkish meat pie topped with savory ground lamb and spices. So good it was potentially addictive; especially liked that it's served on a thin crust and isn't made with gooey cheese since I'm watching carbs now. MKH's version of lentil soup is different from what I'm used to - they use red lentils (rather than brown) and kicked things up with a bit of red pepper and mint. Loved it! Went with chicken and lamb entrees. Chicken shish kebab was nicely charred on the outside while retaining a moist interior, served with white rice, charred onions/peppers, and sides of diced tomatoes and red cabbage. Broiled rib lamb chops were nicely spiced and a good portion but kinda dry, might not choose that again for takeout. Rustic, thick slices of pita came free with the meal, perfect for dipping. I'm eager to stop by in person to try other dishes very soon.

When we sat down, we were served pita and tzatziki sauce. It was good! We ordered off of the lunch special. I had the Kubideh Kabab and my friend had the boneless chicken Kabab. The kababs were not dried out and they were very tasty, well seasoned, and not salty! With the lunch special, you get a choice of lentil soup or salad. I went with the soup and I'm glad I did! It really hit the spot since I haven't been feeling very good lately. We shared an appetizer of falafels. To be honest, it was a bit too dry for me. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and order. The restaurant is quiet overall but there isn't a lot of seating available. There's a shared parking lot but it's crowded. The food was amazing but I don't like looking for parking when I'm hungry. Just kidding. I'll stop by again!

Kabul Kabab offers the most delectable, flavorful, and cost-effective family meal in the area. The combo #1 or #2 is more than enough to feed a family of 4-6 and it has great value. A combo comes with salad, onions/grilled tomatoes, 2-4 skewers if your choice (depending on which one you get) and a whole STEAMER TRAY of delicious rice. Pro tip: the lamb kebab is always worth the extra $3 or so and the brown rice is the winner in our home (brown rice = more flavorful + more fiber = winwin!) Please do give this place a try if you're in the area and need to feed at least 3-4 mouths--the people there are so nice and the food is amazing--would give 30/10 stars if I could!

Tried the chicken kofta during dinner time which came with two skewers, rice, onions and roasted tomato, and house salad. House bread came with the typical sauces (a yogurt, a cilantro, and chili sauce). Meat was tender and well seasoned. Brown rice was nice too and sumac and paprika were on the table for garnish. I also ordered the qabuli rice topping which was disappointing. Usually the shredded carrots are candied, but these were normal carrots and raisins microwaved with lots of moisture but not transformed in any way. Nonetheless, food was good and portions were generous. Easily makes two meals.

We shared the cold dip sampler (taramasalata, babaganoush, tzatziki) and crispy eggplant and zucchini chips. Highly recommend both...the picky eater at the table (who literally eats no vegetables) couldn't stop eating the chips. Rave reviews of the Alaskan halibut and the pork chop. I had the Rocca avocado salad with grilled chicken. Again-excellent! Dessert? Chocolate mousse and custard - I tasted both and loved each option. The mousse was somehow rich, dark...yet "light" at the same time. The custard was warm and had a thin layer of phyllo dough with a drizzle of honey sauce. We arrived when it wasn't too busy on a week night; I'd recommend reservations on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

We started out strong with the crusty bread and feta spread (complimentary), but moving on from there everything was just mediocre. The spanakopita was tasty and I like the bigger chunks of spinach and feta, but the phyllo was soggy. The fried eggplant/zucchini crisp were fried well, but the seasoning wasn't distributed well. Some pieces were heavily seasoned and others were bland. The sauce was just ok, and for the price the portion was small compared to other Greek restaurants. We ordered a whole sea bass with lots of sides ( Horta, Orzo, and Greek Fries). The fish came out looking pretty promising, and it was fresh, but was sorely overcooked. For the price charged, and for a Greek restaurant, I expected the fish to be on point. While studded with capers, the fish was also under seasoned so you were forced to use the weak beurre blanc. I would have much preferred some good olive oil, salt, and herbs. The orzo in tomato sauce was tasty but tasted like an Italian dish. The Greek fries came out and to our surprise had no feta on it. I've personally never had Greek fries that came without feta. They were more Belgium styled fries, dusted with oregano and other dried herbs. It was fine, but just not Greek fries. The Horta was fresh but like the appetizer, the seasoning wasn't well distributed. There were pockets with lots of salt and while other bites landed bland. We walked out with a $170 check, ordering one beer and soda. For that kind of price, the food was not up to par with upscale Greek places. In short, Plori is just really overpriced mid Greek style food. I much rather hit up Astoria for some good Greek cuisine, or go down the street to Tasty Greek for some kebabs. Yes, the ambience was nice, but the price is just outrageous for what we had. PS the valet is also a scam. We tipped the man and he simply handed us our car keys and had us pick up our own car. Why do valet in a small lot if you're not going to valet my car? So odd, but I guess it's on brand with the restaurant. Lots of show, poor execution.
