This place is horrible. I ordered delivery and ordered a pepper steak plate. I only received burnt fried rice and a greasy egg roll. When I called to tell her, I heard her tell her cooks to stop messing around and get the orders right. After I sent her my picture she said she would send a new order. Great Chinese Food and Drinks Mee Hong is my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the New Bedford, Ma. Some of the furniture has shown it's age but the restaurant itself is extremely clean. Their Chinese food is great, and their American dishes are as well. They also have a liquor bar. They do offer delivery service to certain areas. It is a family owned business and has been around for over 50 years and is handicapped accessed . Parking might be an issue to some, but there is a huge parking lot right across the street from the restaurant. If you want a great meal at a great price, I would recommend this joint. I've heard of Mee Hong, I've driven by it countless times, but never actually placed an order or dined in. I was craving Chinese and my boyfriend sang praises for Mee Hong so I decided to give them a try. I'm very habitual when it comes to Chinese food and as such, always opt for General Tso chicken and crab rangoon. The food was still piping hot when he came over and it was absolutely delicious. The General Tso chicken was divine and actually spicy, as it should be. My other go-to Chinese restaurants make it on the mild side but Mee Hong doesn't hold back. The pork fried rice was excellent and the crab rangoon were out of this world; they're definitely the best I've ever had. I'm still in shock. Mee Hong earned its rightful place in my top favorite Chinese restaurants and I'll be ordering from them a lot more going forward. It's at the point where I'm basically dreaming about their food now. Looking forward to trying some other staples on the menu as well. read more

As my first Chinese-American restaurant ever in the history of Chinese food restaurants, I'll try not to be too biased! I've gone to plenty of Chinese-American restaurants but Mee Hong's a place worth talking about. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a waitress whose English makes you question wither she really knows English or not. Looking around, it almost feels like you've entered a time machine and have entered the time where Chinese-American restaurants were the new craze in the US. You have your red carpets, wood-panel walls, dragon sculptures, and late 80's, early 90's American music playing over the place's speakers. Overall, a bit dated for this era, but so much so that it looks cute. I've gotten many delicious things here. They do delicious spare ribs, Szechwan-seasoned meals, and your typical Chinese-American 'delicacies' (Egg Rolls, Chow Mei, General Tso's, etc.) but my favorite is their 'Teriyaki Steak'. They come six a piece and are skewered. Absolutely delicious. I don't know why they only give you two of them in their Pupu Platter. The servings are HUGE and you'll almost always have some extra for later. It's inexpensive too! I probably wouldn't take my date here, but, this would be a great family dinner opportunity to get a family's feet wet in the world of Chinese-American food. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a Chinese restaurant. Period! First of all I order my meal and my roommate ordered hers. The meal took over an hour to arrive and then mine wasn't even included! I called the lady back (Percilla is her name). Percilla was incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional over the phone. She did not apologize for her mistake and proceeded to argue that she made no mistake. Instead of making things right by apologizing and offering to send my plate over for free. She hung up in my face. I have been going to this Chinese restaurant since I moved here from outside of Boston, there's friendly staff, courteous, orders always made with exceptions if asked, the meals are always fresh and hot when I get them.But today I had ordered out for delivery, I was a once a week patron but due to the pandemic they had their own rules but I had tried to make a point of ordering still at least every couple weeks at that time if not more, sure I've tried others but this one seems to please me. We'll long story short it was a Friday night at about 6:30- 7 pm I decided to place a order for take out I had moved out from the south side and had changed my number so they didn't recognize it was me ordering apparently cuz the phone number came up as someone else anyways it took the driver like an Hr and a half, and I only live right down the streets all I ordered was something simple pu pu platter for one I'm away off route 18 he or she called to tell me he or she was on their way which I thought that was odd.
