Never misses, they seem to have a new menu! The taro mochi milk shaved ice was something new I tried. We got the medium and it looks small but it's A LOT, I feel like the large is like DOUBLE the medium though (medium feeds 2-3, large feeds 4-5+). I would say that they should put this in a larger bowl and make it less tall as our shaved ice collapsed 2 minutes into eating it and the ice cream plopped onto the table.
First time going to this place and it's at Ala Moana on the lower level by the parking structure. They have a quite large of a menu with lots of different options for everyone's taste buds or whatever type of dessert they're feeling. Ordered the mango shave ice and it's a lot bigger than you think it's gonna be. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of a real mango fruit that they have in it. It. took about three people to finish it. It wasn't overly sweet or saturated. It was quite delicious. I would definitely get this again, but if they had it in a smaller size because there's no way I could finish this on my own even for the medium size. Would like to try other dessert options seeing as their waffles smell amazing and are quite popular.
It's a cute cozy atmosphere. Very clean and pleasant the young lady was very helpful in explaining the menu to me and gave me suggestions on what I could order since I'm allergic to gluten and don't have diary. I ended up getting these taro balls that were so delicious I had to get another order of them. It was light and refreshing and not sweet at all it was very good, I know some of there foods sounds not appealing but trust me when I say it's DELICIOUS. I'm glad I came with my friend after work
On a whim I decided I wanted a soupy dessert tonight, despite the ugly rainy and chilly weather. Off to Meet Fresh we went! Instead of our usual Black Sugar Boba Milky Shaved Ice (I just realized I've been miscalling it Brown Sugar...!), I decided on the Mango Pomelo Sago cold. The kid doesn't like mango so he ordered the Signature Hot Grass Jelly Soup. I was expecting the Mango Pomelo Sago to be more soupy like the Hong Kong style dessert but it was thick and rich and still very mango-y. The pomelo looked and tasted more like grapefruit but they're close enough in flavor and texture. Each mouthful of the mango puree and jelly was sweeter than the last. The sago pearls were perfectly cooked and not mushy. The ratio of shaved ice to the puree and mango bits was just right, although the hubs and I both wished the shaved ice could be a tad finer. The Grass Jelly Soup though! No wonder it's the signature item. I am very familiar with the aroma but the grass jelly was so smooth yet still had substance. It had the consistency of soupy starch but still had a gentle almost nonexistent al dente-ness? What is this magic?! The mini taro balls and boba pearls were perfectly chewy. We're usually not taro fans but these pass the tastebuds! We could see steam from the surface but it was the perfect temperature. The kid requested the red beans put on the side, which was accommodated. The peanuts were packed separately as well, which I then munched on their own. Very pleased with our stray from the usual. It's about time we tried other desserts, maybe their tofu pudding next! Solid 4.5 stars.
Another go to spot for me! Staff is always so friendly and greets us with a smile every time. Place is always clean and has a nice vibe where you just want to hang out and have a good time with friends. We shared an icy sorbet bowl. Lots of sorbet and lots of toppings, what more can you want? Boba, tapioca and the other chewy stuff cooked proper and not hard or mushy. We'll be back again for sure!
I'm so glad I finally tried this place! Their menu is so large so I'll have to go back to try something else! We had a hard time deciding because they have so many toppings and combinations that I'm not used to so didn't know which one I wanted. We decided to try the icy taro series. The dessert is pretty large so I would recommend sharing. The taro scoops are big and tasted really delicious. There were also other taro balls, boba, and red bean. It was so interesting to try these all on like shaved ice. It was really refreshing though. We also added sesame balls which I loved. There are so many choices though that I'll need to go back again. The people were so nice and patient with us. There's cute seating inside too to enjoy your dessert. Will be back to the something else!
After coming here for about 3 years I can say how much this place has improved once you give it some time. The first two visits their desserts were closer to sugar water than an actual solid shave ice but I kept coming because the toppings alone are hard to come across in a great arrangement. Their menu has also changed immensely as well. They now have egg waffles, more teas and more shave ice all of which I think are phenomenal. There's truly something here for everyone whether it's hot or cold, milk or herbal tea, soft serve or a fresh egg waffle: this place has it all. These people finally got there dessert down to a science and I couldn't be more pleased. Truly hope this is only the beginning with Taiwanese dessert shops on Oahu.
I looked high and low for an ice monster replacement. The picture, description and price made it seem like their shaved ice was made from real juice ice blocks, boy did i feel TRICKED out of a 20 dollar chunks of pure ICE! It was nothing but a mount of large ice chunks, masked by slapping a layer of sugary syrup over it. The ice chunks were as large as a wonton!!! So horrible.
Great little find on the lower deck of the Ala Moana Center near the Starbucks on the Foodland side of the mall. This place serves huge over the top ice shaved desserts. They don't skimp on the portions or calories but the presentation is over the top and delicious. One dessert can serve 2-3 easily. Lots of seating on tables in a clean airy setting with friendly service.
The description for this place really sums it up well. Love that they're open late night. I'm not used to the mall closing at 8pm so when we are out, a nice refreshing dessert is perfect. We usually get a fresh fruit shaved ice but decided to try the azuki/boba one this time. This was shared amongst 6 of us and we still could barely finish the Large. It's great that it's not too heavy. Maybe not be the best quality but definitely convenient! The place gets pretty packed at nice. I love that there are three different ways to order: cashier, kiosk, or your phone. Highly recommend downloading the app for rewards!

Meet Fresh is a great dessert place to check out after dinner. The place itself feels clean and open. It is a little tight when all the tables are in use, so we had to maneuver how we can since we had a baby stroller in our group. But the service is nice, it's not difficult to catch their attention when we're in need of extra utensils. My go-to is the tofu pudding. I love that they offer the option of hot or cold. If you're not familiar with Taiwanese desserts, the taste may be different for you. But worth the try! read more
Got the new Pistachio Shave Ice. The portion is massive but I wish it came with a smaller size since we weren't able to finish and it turned to slush at the end. The pistachio and chocolate was very good, rich and creamy and not too sweet. It also comes with custard pudding, mochi, red fruit jelly, vanilla ice cream and boba on the side. The boba was warm when we got it and it was so delicious. It's soft and slightly sweetened that almost melts in your mouth. It's like a jelly. The shave ice however was a bit crunchy and rough which is hard to break apart sometimes. Nice, clean and modern place to sit in and chill. Service was also nice and fast. Not sure if I'll try shave ice again, but I'd like to try their milk tea and other desserts. read more

Great for a late night dessert since there aren't a lot of options for dessert past a certain time. Portions are huge so my friends and I usually share. I usually like to get one of the fruity shave ice options- strawberry or mango or a mix of both. The ice isn't your typical fine shave but the condensed milk syrup and fresh fruits great! We also tried the chocolate deluxe which was the mochi waffle, ice cream, plus toppings. Both were refreshing and a great dessert option. read more

Icy Grass Jelly Signature is my go to at Meet Fresh. I say I'll try something different like the shave ice because they're huge and look good but always end up ordering the grass jelly. It's my fave. Only complaint this time is that there were large chunks of ice like it was made/shaved beforehand and then re-frozen prior to serving. read more

We tried their most popular shaved ice: brown sugar with boba and caramel pudding with vanilla ice cream on top. The shaved ice was pretty sweet. The taro paste mixed with vanilla ice cream is great, not too sweet, very refreshing in a hot Hawai'i Ala Moana shopping day. Service was attentive, helpful, and quick, especially comparing with other US cities. However, maybe because of the few crowds they have and the echo effects from the room, it was pretty noisy with kids and parents being a bit loud. read more
On the bottom floor of Ala Moana near Marshalls, Meet Fresh is a brightly lit and pretty spacious spot. The restaurant feels pretty clean and has more than a handful of tables but not an overwhelming abundance. There are booths and tables of different sizes, accommodating for parties of various sizes. There is a counter to the left of the entrance and seating to the right. There is also a self-service kiosk. The service is quite efficient. There are laminated menus on the counter. These menus display the variety of drinks and food options available at Meet Fresh. There are a lot of options! Various fruit, milk, seasonal, fresh, winter melon, and other teas. Some of the teas can come fluffy, which means there is cheese foam on top. The food options range from waffles to tofu puddings to shaved ice. There may be other food options but these seemed to be the main ones. The shaved ice seemed quite large from the ones we saw. We got a few drinks such as the mango and passion fruit green tea, the mango green tea, winter melon tea, and fluffy winter melon tea. The drinks were good -- the teas were sweeter than expected but not overwhelmingly so. We did not love the fluffy winter melon tea -- it did not cause much of a difference in flavor to have it fluffy. We also got the matcha bubble waffle and chocolate chip bubble waffle. They were crispy on the edges and dough-y in the bubbles. The flavors were pretty subtle but still good! Our final food item was a passion fruit sorbet, which was solid and what you would expect. My local Meet Fresh in Las Vegas closed down unfortunately, so when I heard Meet Fresh is open in Oahu, I was excited to try it. One big thing this Meet Fresh had was more attraction and advancements. There were self order ipad screens and utensils and everything ready. The place was well designed in my opinion, especially with a garage next to it. The seats were comfortable and the dining room AND restrooms were clean. read more

Meet Fresh is so nostalgic for me. The authentic taiwanese shaved ice really hits home. Ive gone to different locations of Meet Fresh over the years and the quality is always consistent. They do a very good job of keeping their high standards across their chains. Here in Oahu, there are so many shaved ice places, so there is stiff competition in this space. Still i find that i end up at here quite often. It may be the convenient location in Ala Moana or maybe I just like their flavors. It was past dinner time and my friends are craving something sweet. Usually after 8pm eateries were closed and we left no other choice but fortunately this dessert place inside Ala Moana Center is opened until 10pm. Barabing! It's raving cold outside yet we still wanted to have cold dessert. As I am scanning through their menu I was surprised that they got hot desserts too. Cool. Food: Mangoberry Milk Shaved Ice Pudding & Q-Mochi Milk Shaved Ice Double Taro Signature Original Waffle Amongst my favorite was the Double Taro Signature. It is not that sweet and just perfect. I barely taste the taro flavor so I am confused why they call it double taro? It comes with two creamer and tastes no different imo. Sizes come in medium & large and thank goodness we opted for the medium size as the large ones are way too big. Even the medium plate is good for two people to share so I bet the large one will be good for 3-4 people. customer service is just okay. They were patient enough to wait for us as their menu is a bit extensive & we cannot make our mind on what order to put in. Not the best Taiwanese dessert I ever tried but good to know that they open late which I find it neat. Would love to come back here for their boba teas. A solid choice for a quick frosty dessert. We tried the Mango shaved ice today and added boba and super q mochi, which was flavorful but not my favorite texture (being dusted in powder). Staff were friendly and the self order kiosk was straightforward, but I do wish they had some photos of what all the different additional toppings looked like. Mango was tart and sweet, the way I prefer it, and that tower was definitely tall! Pretty good size for three people to tackle. read more

Love the inside aesthetic, just the tables are a little close together sometimes making it difficult to get in and out of the tables. They have complimentary water which I think is very convenient. The portion sizes are definitely perfect for sharing between 3-4 friends which I think justifies the prices. Have not tried the drinks yet but definitely will return in the future. Service was a little slow just because of how much business they had at the time but they have a screen showing how long your order may take and when it is about to be ready which was very convenient. read more
Wanted to get a bit of dessert to cap off the night. While there was a lot of really good sounding drinks and cold dishes we went with a warm almond soup. It came with a bunch of jelly, boba, and rice balls. It was nice and soupy, warm but not so hot you can't start drinking (?) It right away. It tastes just like almond float. I didn't care that much for the actual almond shavings in it tho, the crunchy texture kind of pulled me out of all the soft textures. I definitely want to come back and try some of the shave ice dishes or the boba drinks. read more

Located at ground level of Ala Moana Center. Spacious area for customers to seat and enjoy their dessert or drinks. The tables near the walls for your electronic devices to enjoy a quick charge while you take your time to with your dessert. The music they play are a good vibe. Service was quick and they have a kiosk for you to order as well. The air conditioning provides a refreshing change from the humid weather of outdoors. Today I ordered the Icy Grass Jelly Series which was refreshing. All toppings were well cooked and very enjoyable. read more
Meet Fresh Service was prompt. There is a lot of seating too. We wanted specialized shave ice for dessert, so wanted to try Meet Fresh. We have had the similar shave ice in Korea. The red bean milk shave ice dessert in Korea was excellent! Compared to the Korean red bean milk shave ice, Meet Fresh shave ice is good, but NOT as fine as what we had in Korea. It does make a difference. That being said, the red bean milk shave ice is very good. Meet Fresh is a great place to get your dessert fix. read more

Nice spot to come and grab dessert after church. Stopped in this afternoon due to a recommendation from our church friends and it was great! The medium sized Strawberry Milk Shaved Ice was a perfect portion for my wife and I. It was even better because our little one just ate all the fresh strawberries out of it. If you're a fan of ice cream, I definitely recommend asking for a scoop or two to be put on the bottom as well. The ice cream definitely goes well with the shaved ice. Although a bit pricey, this place has definitely been added to our list for dessert and we will be back soon! read more

This is my second time visiting meet fresh, the first time I ordered a boba drink and it was ok nothing spectacular. Decided to try it out again but this time I wanted something refreshing so I went with the mango berry shave ice with 2 flans on the side. The portion was huge and can be shared with 2 others. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the taste and texture. The strawberry jam/purée sauce tasted artificial with real strawberries (to sweet and over powering) and the mango was too tart/tangy. As for the texture it was the huge chunks of ice for me. The flan was tiny and bland and it was more jello like and tasted watered down. My friend and I couldn't even finish it. As for service let's just say it was awkward waiting at the register for someone to take our order, at least acknowledge us. Personally not my cup of tea but maybe you'll like it. For the hefty price of $18 I shoulda went to Jejubing. read more
Very good customer service, fast dessert creation, spacious seating, and my dessert was yummy!!! The almond pudding at the bottom was even silkier than almond float (which I also love). Hours are attached. The toppings were generous-and don't laugh-I gauge that based on having enough toppings with every spoonful of sorbet/pudding. The family next to us ordered a medium mango(straw)berry shaved ice with ice cream. I had considered that as well and am glad I didn't get it tonight- it looked huge!!! Taiwanese shaved ice and boba! Located next to Surfer's Bakery in Ala Moana. We ordered a medium mangoberry shaved ice and it came in a HUGE mountain of shaved ice full of diced mangos and strawberries with a scoop of ice cream on top. Throughout the ice, there was something sweet drizzled in it too. Service is quick and excellent. I recommend! read more
TLDR: my new favorite spot for Asian desserts! Highly recommend their soup-y pudding-y options I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and finally got around to it! Meet Fresh serves a variety of Asian desserts like bingsu, boba drinks, and bubble waffles, but I was most excited for what I call "dessert soups." We got hot red bean and cold grass jelly soups and loved both! The desserts are pricey but the portions are large and delicious so it's worth it! We did takeout which was a little confusing - when we arrived no one greeted us despite the store being practically empty. The takeout order counter was empty so we assumed they were still making it. After waiting 5-10 minutes we were flagged down and it seemed like they had our order ready for a while but it was hidden behind the counter? Very strange. The dessert was very good in any case and met our high expectations, so I didn't deduct a star. read more

This has been my boyfriend and I's summer essential dessert spot! We saw a picture of the Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice and we had to give it a try! Since the difference between a medium and a large size is just $1, we decided on getting the large. It is so massive but perfect because you can take the leftovers to go. The staff is always working so hard making everyone's orders. I love how this spot stays open late! It's perfect to grab dessert with friends and chat! When I'm on O'ahu, my go to spot is always Meet Fresh. The desserts are noteworthy and always the best! However, the pudding and q mochi shaved ice is a dessert masterpiece. From the moment it arrived at my table, I was in awe of its presentation. The fluffy shaved ice was piled high and perfectly shaved, creating a soft and refreshing base. The pudding was creamy and velvety, adding a smooth texture to each bite. But the star of the show was the q mochi, which had a delightful chewiness that contrasted with the delicate texture of the shaved ice. While eating this dessert, you can find an array of textures in the dish. The combination of flavors was simply heavenly. When in O'ahu, I eat this as my dessert almost everyday. If you're a dessert lover looking for a unique and satisfying treat, I highly recommend trying Meet Fresh's pudding and q mochi shaved ice! read more

Finally got to try this place out and I'm sad that they didn't have the purple rice series available in Hawaii. But, there's still quite an extensive menu here, and a little overwhelming to say the least. There's a self-order kiosk to the right hand side, or you can go up to the counter for someone to take your order. They give a number on your receipt, in which you need to pay attention because there's just a bing-bong and number displayed when your order is ready for pick-up. The cashiers don't really tell you about their process, so you just gotta go with the flow or know. For those with nut allergies like me, make sure that you read the tiny print because there are some items that come with almonds or peanuts, whether that's topped or inside the actual dish itself. I'm happy to say that I played it safe and didn't get any reactions, with the (small) strawberry milk shave ice which was super yummy! A little too sweet for my liking, but yummy nonetheless. As for the space itself, there's ample seating and booths to the right. We went at 9p on a Thursday, and stayed till a little past 10p. It's interesting that they didn't start turning off the lights or mentioned that they were closing, as there were two other larger parties in there hanging out when we left. Nevertheless, I heard that their mini Q is the way to go, so I will definitely be back to try this! read more
Dessert here was the most fun I had in a while. One late night my husband and i wanted something sweet and to our luck, Meet Fresh was open! We entered then ordered on the kiosk as the cashier was handling a large order. I totally recommend it! We ordered the Brown Sugar Boba Milky Shave Ice and it was fantastic! I got an extra scoop of ice cream because I thought we needed it but we didn't. We got the large and it was huge, larger than expected! My husband and I slurped and moaned as we ate the mountain of Brown Sugar Boba Milky Shave Ice. The large probably can feed 4 but I'll never go back and get anything less than a large because it was so fun. I hope to go back and try a new flavor shave ice (but def a large) and maybe some drinks. I hope the other items are as perfect as the Brown Sugar Boba Milky Shave Ice!!! read more

Went with some friends at night and we wanted to try Meet Fresh for the first time. Don't let the name fool you because this is 100% a dessert spot haha! Anyways, this was our first time here and my boyfriend and I were craving something sweet. I ordered the Mangoberry Shaved Iced (est: $15-$16) which was half mango half strawberry shaved ice with vanilla ice cream. This was pretty massive and definitely could feed 4 people so I recommend ordering this with a bigger group lol. I liked the fruits on this dessert and they didn't seems frozen or if anything it wasn't hard as if it came out of a freezer. It's also covered in condensed milk so similar to bingsu. Both sides were good but I enjoyed the mango side a lot. Overall their menu items are on the pricey side even their boba drinks but at least their desserts are shareable for sure. Service was also good, nothing extra but relatively in 5 minutes our order was ready and you can see the kitchen preparing it since it's open. I think I'd come back again with more friends and try some other menu items next time :) read more
I'm so happy we finally have a meet fresh in honolulu! The first time I went to meet fresh was in Vegas. I love this place so much, it reminded me of my short day trip to Taiwan. I love the black sesame mochi, always get it as a add on to the signature icy taro. I also like their hot grass jelly dessert. The black sesame mochi is better eaten in a hot dessert. The are located conveniently in Ala Moana on the same side as pot office. read more
Meet Fresh, Meet My Empty Wallet. Taiwanese sweet treats right here in Honolulu on the ground floor of Ala Moana Shopping Center; same level as Lupicia, Brug, Marshall's, US Post Office, etc. We ordered the large Mango Berry shaved ice for $15.00. I thought the price was ridiculous after paying for it, but it was quite huge and more than enough for two. There were fresh chopped mangos on one side, and fresh chopped strawberries on the other side. The syrup was also fresh and fruity and not too sweet, not too rancid...but just right!! Also came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Each large plate comes with two spoons, especially if they see two people ordering one plate. I guess the COVID scare is pretty much dead. You would have never seen this happen during 2020, and I'm glad because then you'd have to sit six feet apart to share the dish and that would've been stupid. I must say that now I have a cold sore on my lower lip, so not sure if my partner whom I was sharing the dish with gave me the herpes simplex virus type 1. We took out two chocolate egg waffles and waited a long time for them, about 20 minutes, because the counter guy said they were down to only one machine, but I knew it was because the entire store that had at least three girls at the counter who all disappeared at once, presumably on a break, and left this older gentleman to fend off impatient chocolate egg waffle orderers on his own. Chocolate egg waffles = $7.50 x 2 = $15.00 Large shaved ice = $15.61 TOTAL (without tip, yes, they have a tip option) = about $31.00 A tad ridiculous, but hey, this is Ala Moana, and this is Hawaii. Chocolate egg waffle was ho-hum, probably best eaten in the store while fresh. Won't be ordering that again. RETURN FACTOR = too expensive, only good for a one-time treat for a frugal gal like myself. I can get a calamari platter at Haleiwa Beach House for the price of one large shaved ice at Meet Fresh. read more
