I ordered the Mangoberry milk shaved ice which includes mango, mango sauce, strawberry, strawberry sauce, ice cream, and condensed milk. It was a little heavy on the condensed milk and a touch too sweet overall but the fresh fruit and ice cream were delicious. Unfortunately, the atmosphere left much to be desired from the very loud music playing throughout the shop to the many tables that desperately needed to be wiped down after customers had left. Hands down the best Taiwanese dessert place in Dallas. If you like mochi, taro, red bean, pudding, grass jelly... this is the place to go all year around. They have icy desserts, hot soupy desserts, and a whole variety of drinks. We specifically made the trek here for icy taro ball signature and also hot red bean soup signature. Comes in a large take out bowl and even on a hot Texas summer day, the icy bowl was still chilled when we got home. This place makes me so happy. They specialize in authentic Taiwanese desserts like shave ice, herbal jelly, and tofu pudding. My favorite by far is the tofu pudding because you really can't get it anywhere else, and it is very refreshing. I've been here a few times and have tried both the tofu pudding with sweet potato/taro balls and the almond shaved ice. I've always wanted to try their mango shaved ice, but they've been sold out every single time I've come. I've always liked tofu pudding, but have never seen it (in the DFW area) outside of dim-sum restaurants. Meet Fresh does a good job with it--it's light, fresh, and slightly sweet. I also really like the sweet potato/taro glutinous ball things because they're really chewy. This place is bananas......sensory overload with it's bright lights and tons of people noshing on shaved ice, jelly and pudding. You go up, order, get a buzzer and eat. Some people dine and leave, others linger. I'm somewhat familiar with Taiwanese desserts and was stoked to see they had mango shaved ice. It was literally bigger than my head so I only put a small dent in it and it was damn tasty! Not as memorable as Smoothie House in Taipei but it's a good middle ground instead of spending $1000 on a flight to Taipei. Non Asian folk, don't be afraid to venture in. I was about to turn back or go to their neighboring boba place. But when I peeked inside, the line was not that terrible. So the wait was just about 10 minutes. Actually we were still deciding when it was our turn to order as there were so many options. One thing that puzzled me was the number at the bottom of each item like 6.2 or 6.8. My first thought was they were item numbers, just to help first-time customers to order. But I found many items with the same number 6.8. And then I though they might be prices! Ok, let's get to the food. All the pictures on the menu look so delicious. I hear they are known for their herbal jelly and shaved ice. But since I like sweet red beans, I went for the one with red beans, taro balls, tapioca balls, etc. Everything tasted good. I especially liked the chewy bite-size taro balls. The red beans were cooked thoroughly, which what good sweet red beans should be. Everything was sweet of course, but not too sweet. The portion was big -- enough for two hungry people. I also like it to be served in a china bowl instead of a styrofoam or plastic bowl. As to the service, it was just typically Asian. Since there were so many people, I didn't expect much service at all. All the serving people were working hard and looked pretty tense. There were barely any smiles on their faces. It's a Chinese place, so I know what I'm getting for service. No complaint. The atmosphere was very causal and jovial. People were eating and talking loud, having a good time. It is a relatively new place, so tables and chairs are new and clean. But the table I sat at was kinda of wobbling. Maybe a screw was missing. The men's restroom needed some cleaning though. If you're into herbal jelly then Meet Fresh does a pretty good job of getting that herbal jelly flavor across. Also, this place is great because their desserts are not overwhelmingly sweet. Portions are generous so bring a friend or two! It seems most of the bad reviews are due to the wait times and the service. So I guess I was lucky I came at a time where it wasn't too busy because my order came out within 5 minutes. And the service doesn't really matter because you just stand in line, place your order, pay and then you sit and wait until your food is ready to be picked up. You don't really need stellar service since you're the one that will be picking up your order and returning your trays. What they don't tell you about the almond pudding shaved ice is that it is effing huge. It feeds 3-4 people. I came here with one other person so imagine the shock when they brought out the almond pudding shaved ice in all its massiveness. Good thing we ordered the Meet Fresh signature dessert too...not. The condensed milk with the shaved ice was so delicious. Stopped by Meet Fresh after dinner tonight to try some desserts! I'd heard a lot of great things from people who had already been, and was pumped to get a taste of these Taiwanese sweets. I know that it's a chain but I've never been to a location before, so this was a pretty impressive introduction. It was packed when I walked in at around 7:20, but the line went by pretty quickly, and the employee who took my order was very professional. It was clear that she knew the menu despite the fact that this place just opened. I ordered the iced signature dessert, which has herbal shaved ice, herbal jelly, condensed milk, and taro and sweet potato balls. I also got the snack combo, which included a small almond pudding with red bean and four small mochis. After I paid, I was given a little buzzer that lit up and buzzed when my desserts were ready. The people assembling the desserts behind the counter were super efficient, because it only took about 4 minutes between when I put my order in and when I received it. I was running late for another meeting, so I couldn't stay to eat, but the inside was brightly lit and the decor was nice, though the line to the cash register gets a little cramped when there are a lot of people waiting to order, especially because it's right in front of the entrance. However, the desserts themselves were really delicious -- not too sweet, which is how i like it. The herbal jelly shaved ice had an excellent flavor, though some parts of the ice were inconsistently flavored. I also really loved the sweet potato balls in the shaved ice. The almond pudding was delicious. The consistency of the mochis were pretty good, but they were also rather small, and I wasn't sure what flavors they were supposed to be because the menus didn't say. I think two were herbal jelly and two were coconut, but they were so lightly flavored that I couldn't be sure. Regardless, the desserts were very refreshing and I'm really looking forward to coming back and sampling the rest of their menu! This place is good for some unique Asian sweets. I really like these types of desserts because there are a lot of varieties, it's unique, not too sweet, and they use real food as ingredients. I've been here two times and the things I tried were not bad, but I would try other stuff the next time I come here. Everything looks so good here, but when I actually eat it, it's not as exciting as it looks. I think I hype myself up for how good it is in pictures haha. Mainly it's because I've had these ingredients before so it's not a surprise of how it's tasted. It's just about the mixture that go well together and I'm still on the hunt for that. That's just me being picky about specific ingredients in a bowl. Hot tofu with peanuts: I love hot tofu dessert and especially with ginger syrup. This one is a bit soupy with the light syrup and not much tofu. It's a little underwhelming when compared to the sweeter icy dessert we got. Assorted shaved ice: This one was really good and it looks good in pictures. We shared it between 3 people and it was a good portion. I was really excited about the ice cream part because that makes a huge difference on shaved ice. But unfortunately, it had this artificial taste to it. After eating the shaved ice for 30 mins and the ice cream scoop still has its shape, we can confirm that it's actually artificial. Yikes lol Hot grass jelly: I wanted something warm because it was a cold day out so I want to try to this the toppings I liked. I really like taro and so I got that one and that might be the best part of this dessert. Sweet solid creamy taro is so good!! When this came out, it looked nothing like the picture lol That was not picture worthy but I attached it here. The liquid looked like syrup at first but it was actually grass jelly that was not solid yet, after letting it sit for a little bit (unintentionally) it became a bit more slimy/solid. Maybe they put too much grass jelly in there. Tip: For the hot grass jelly, we were able to swap the boba for barley. So it's nice they let you swap toppings! I have consistently had bad customer service here, at this location. And it's deterred me from visiting other Meet Fresh locations in DFW, as well (although the only other location closed anyways so I guess it doesn't matter). I grew up having Taiwanese desserts (grass jelly, shaved ice, taro balls, dessert tofu etc.) IN TAIWAN, so obviously Meet Fresh is nothing compared to the real deal in the one and only homeland. But this is the only access I have to Taiwanese desserts here (aside from Blackball, which is more worthy of the two competitors in my opinion), so I come from time to time when I have cravings or I have friends who want to try this place out. The food here is decent. I enjoy that the desserts are low in sugar and nostalgic. But these desserts are overpriced. However, my complaint is that the servers at this location have consistently been rude and negligent. I used to LOVE this place when it first opened, but now I almost avoid coming here. Regardless if I speak English or Mandarin when I'm ordering, it seems like the servers respond with eye-rolling and lack of any enthusiasm. During one visit, I had received the incorrect order, and the servers argued back and they roll their eyes. The other reviewers are not lying when we say they lack professionalism in their customer service. Everyone that works there seems like they hate their job. They are very stingy about the amount of toppings they give too. Service to me is as important as the quality of the food/product. Plenty of boba and good flavor + Jasmine milk tea with boba: Good. = Signature with the taro balls, herbal jelly, brown sugar shaved ice: This is apparently their signature dessert. It's got some strong flavors and isn't all that sweet. Make sure to mix everything together as you get the sweetness from the shaved ice. = Red bean soup with sesame balls: a bit more soupy than the pictures made out to be. Overall, I'd agree that it is definitely authentic, but it's not for everyone. If you like herbal jelly and those types of stuff, you'll be good here. I don't even know where to start on how happy I am this place opened. Understand that this is a chain that I really liked in Taiwan, and the food they provided met the standard I expected. They are known for their taro balls/yam balls, and the chewiness and taste are just as fresh as in the streets of TW. The grass jelly and the herbal ice did not fail me, and I love their mochi ice. So from the point of view of someone who has had this before, it definitely met all my expectations on freshness and taste. The wait was not bad on a Sunday afternoon, and it was not hard to find seating. As for someone who may have never had this before and is trying it for the first time, I'd say that you have to really savor the taste over looking for someone overtly sweet. None of their desserts are over the top sweet, and everything tastes very light. Their taro balls and yam balls whether the big or small ones are delightful on ice and in their drinks. Not sensitive enough to give up their seats to people who just came in. Ordered the Signature fresh, it's Grassjelly + shaved ice + some taro balls (? I think). Never had taro balls before, but seeing people commenting about taro balls, perhaps they are taro balls. Cost $6.3 or $6.8. Their pricing system is weird with prices like this. Not $7 or $6.5 but $6.8 or $6.3. Fresh, not so sweet, actually I like sweet, so this one isn't my favorite. DH liked it. also ordered Mochi Shaved ice cream! wow this thing was big. It was enough to feed 3-4 folks, really. For $7.8 or $7.3 - can't remember it was really worth it! The mochi pieces were soft. There were round ones, long ones, yellow ones, white ones, purple ones, and small taro balls. Topped with a scoop of real ice cream. This dish must have about 1/4 can of condensed milk poured into it. Tasted sweet - just right for me but too sweet for DH. I think shaved ice is more worth it than the Signature fresh. Bigger portion. One thing they could improve is by providing free water to customers. Mango2 has free water for customers. Plus, there is nobody to wipe off tables. Customers are supposed to bring their trays back to the kitchen, but if there's no water, they use paper napkins to wipe off tables. Since all desserts are sticky, they stained the table. Without water, customers can't wipe off stains off table. The result is yucky, sticky table. Plus, water will be good as the shaved ice left my tongue and cheek really cold at the end. It was a busy day today and the layout of the restaurant showed it could not handle a big crowd. The register is about 5 steps from the front door, so we had to huddle behind the people who were huddling between the little space between the register and front door, crammed between the bar stools next to the window and the dining area. When we were about to leave, the mgr took notice and brought out dividers for the line to form on one side of the door so people can exit out the other door. That means the line would have to form outside now, which is fine because it's a cool evening. They have a nice menu you can pick up with pictures for each desert, although I had to squint to see the tiny font for the description. I tried the herbal jelly iced MF signature dessert that I liked when I was in Taiwan a few weeks ago. So I wanted to try something different this time. I got the noodle jelly shaved ice. First off, it wasn't even shaved ice, so it shouldn't be under the shaved ice section. It was just crushed ice. The noodle jellies were just ok. The taro and sweet potato balls were a disappointment. I could not taste the taro or sweet potato. It felt like I was just chewing on plain dough. I'll come back and try another dish or two if I am in the area. This my favorite dessert spot. I highly recommend the rice sesame balls always cooked to perfection. The icy grass classic is my favorite I add melon and lychee jelly. As a extra topping I also order the popular sesame rice balls and taro. Their place is always packed so I recommend placing your order online and picking up. You can also put in your order inside on the kiosk. Lastly it can be a bit overwhelming if it's your first time so I I alwys ask the staff for a yummy recommendation. The quality has really gone down.. I ordered two hot milk green teas (one with boba and the other with taro balls). There were huge communication problems between me and the cashier when ordering. He clearly wasn't fluent in English, couldn't understand Chinese, and did not understand the store's product. The rest of the workers weren't any better. Before every step of making the drinks, they either had to stop and think for a good 30 seconds of what to do or go ask another coworker. The dining space itself is filthy- tables uncleaned and sticky, some without chairs, and napkin/utensil dispensers empty. (Can't imagine why.) This chain is great in other locations in LA and Hong Kong, so the fingers are pointing at management. With a lack of nice authentic Chinese deserts in the area, it might as well still have none. My Taiwanese wife was excited for this to come to Plano and it was with good reason. Uniquely flavored desserts that aren't overly sweet and mix different flavors and textures. Awesome place to hang out and eat. Awesome variety! Love love love this place! This is another option for my desert area. Closest to halo halo (philippine dessert). A bit in the expensive side because you can find other places that have this dessert half the price. Lots of parking in this open mall. My daughter did not like the eye rolling of the person helping us though. Reason for this is because its our first time and we didn't know what to order, kept asking different questions. I guess they need more patience with people who has never been here. I had also informed them of the Yelp discount and they indicated there is no such thing, im like hmmm, then what is this, and showed it to them. Been here a few times with a positive experience every time. I've tried the Taro Ball Signature, Icy Purple rice(?) and Jelly Grass bowls. All tasted great. Love to have these on a warm day. Seems like a pretty bog-standard Meet Fresh, but had an unexpected issue - both hot menu items came out warm at best. Had to send both back to be reheated. They didn't seem super busy so not sure what might have caused the issue/delay in service. read more

When we travel, we always google to see whether there is meet fresh nearby... Our favorites are icy grass and tofu pudding series. I loved the sweet potato and red bean toppings. There is Only one series I don't like: the winter melon drink. Taste very wired... I tried it because the staff told us that all fruit drink were sold out at night, obviously it was a bad choice for me.. Staff were not very friendly (minus 1 star).
