I was not impressed. Not very high quality, does not seem like they cook anything fresh. Soup Noodles in the ramen were for sure rehydrated from a package. I also got the curry Japanese rice bowl. I'm sure it was the prepackaged "golden curry sauce with vegetables" you can buy at any super market, poured over white rice. See below for picture. Out in the middle of Long Island, and craving Ramen... came in for lunch and really really love their fried popcorn chicken. We got both the tonkatsu and miso Ramen. Both Ramens were super flavorful and had a very unique taste to the broth... And the pork was perfectly chard. The portion size though and toppings were kind of lacking. The service is out of this world... They were so attentive and kind to my children. We also ordered bubble tea... That wasn't great... The passion, fruit slushy, and the strawberry slushy was so good we actually ordered an additional one at the end of each to take it to go. You can order at the counter and eat by yourself on a hightop chair and there are a few tables in the middle of the restaurant for people who don't come in alone. Meet Noodle is this small cool anime ramen joint located in the Stony Brook shopping center. The food here is very good, but their scallion pancakes are by far the best I've ever had. Thin crispy fried goodness is all you need to know. It comes with this dumpling dipping sauce that puts it over the edge. I've had the ground pork bowl and the pork belly bowl and I prefer the ground pork, very good. My only complaint is I felt the rice is a bit over cooked. Could be my opinion and preference, but that's the only point I would take away from them. Their staff is so attentive and friendly and it have a cute atmosphere. For appetizers we had the Krispy fried shrimp shumai, Spring rolls, and the kara age chicken. ALL WERE EXCELLENT! But I especially liked the kara age chicken and sauce, it was delicious! After as a main course, I had the phone brisket bowl- The beef was tasty and fresh, the noodle too! Not like the other places, thos phone wasnt over powering with flavor, but not weak, you were able to taste and differentiate all the flavors of the majority of the ingredients... THIS WAS ON AMAZING BOWL OF PHO!!! If you love Anime and DBZ, the decor is amazing! I was overwhelmed by the colorful and action packed artwork all around... I was so excited to try this place given the reviews. I love a good ramen spot, especially one close to me, but this is not it. First off, the pork gyoza was really good, unfortunately the ramen was boring, bland and unappealing. I did do take out, which is not a usual for me, but I thought I'd still give it a shot. Unfortunately this was my first and last time. The broth was so bland I tried to help it with seasoning it, but I couldn't. I did get a spicy ramen, but no spice, just bok choy and an egg? I am so in love with this place. I enjoyed the food but the ambiance was to die for. I wasn't even planning on eating but I walked by when going somewhere else and I just needed to try it. The service is good and they let me make the ramen spicy! Love! I got the karaage ramen as the broth is chicken based. I really enjoyed it, especially the soy sauce egg inside. The noodles don't taste like fresh ones and may be packaged but I'm not complaining too much because I liked it anyway. I need to go back! It's the perfect winter meal for me! I absolutely love this place, almost as much as my son but that boy if he could he would eat meet noodle every night! The staff are so friendly they know my son by name at this point since his grandmother always takes him and everyone is so nice, they're also great and provide prompt service. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the beef brisket was ever so tender. My son ordered the tonkotsu Japanese ramen which came with savory pork broth, chashu pork, soy marinated egg, etc. He enjoyed it a lot and the noodles were cooked al dente. The portion could just be a tad bigger, but minor complaint. My wife got the curry laksa which is a seafood rice noodle soup. What's key is that this place has options even for someone who is gluten free. Being our first time here, the flavor profiles were pretty good and we would definitely come back. I got my food to go and I definitely enjoyed them (which isn't always the case when getting ramen to go from anywhere) so they won me over with that. That pretty much never ends up well, "Master of None" But wow was I wrong. Each broth was on spot. The noodle textures was excellent. The appetizers we ordered are usually fried and greasy, not here... crunchy and fresh. The cut of meat for the pork belly, the flavor. The brisket in the Pho. That's right, I had to try some of my mates food. This is high quality restaurant food. This seems to be a small, family owned, anime inspired noodle shop. From the second you walk in you're greeted by dbz, one piece, one punch man wallpapers and figurines. So 5 stars alone for the custom decor. But the noodles themselves are also fantastic and the broth (the classic tonkatsu) is extremely flavorful and very well prepared.
