RES installed new HVAC in September 2021. Freezing temps last night and my heat wouldn't kick on…read more Needless to say, it's cold in the house. Literally wearing a sweater and two sweater wraps. New HVAC filter, reset breaker. Thermostat batteries are fine. Still not kicking on. Sent Yelp message to RES because they have always been quick to respond. And they did this time as well and the woman who gave me a call was nice and tried to help. Pretty disappointed that they can't quickly swing by today. From what I've read, it's likely a dirty flame sensor or the ignitor switch (neither of which is a long job - I just don't have the tools). HVAC less than 5 years old, so parts are under warranty with RES; however, I had to call someone else. Bottom line: Someone else is coming today, but I could end up paying for parts. Kind of feels like my current needs weren't lucrative enough for RES to make a concerted effort to swing by.

A request this winter for routine furnace check up couldn't be scheduled until four weeks later. At that time also asked for an estimate for furnace replacement for which a tech was available the same day. Tech promised to send us a quote that night - the quote never arrived despite multiple requests. The tech who came out for the routine check up verified our observation that the control panel of the humidifier was not working and promised to send us a quote for replacement. Guess what - quote never arrived. We paid $205 + credit card fees for the visit but never received a statement of work or even a receipt. On the plus side the techs come out at the scheduled time, seem knowledgeable, and behave professionally. Too bad they don't have time to send out promised quotes!

I had water in the pan... why? The fan died. So my unit was freezing the dead fan & when it thawed, the water would fill the pan, set off the sensor and kill the power. Also, my unit is old. I bought the house 7 years ago and the AC was already there. I know the last owner. He didn't install it either. Ben got the right motor in 1 day. The price was perfect. I googled the motor price and he charged me the bottom dollar. I even had him over to flush the coil 2-days later.
