Mirko is awesome to work with! My wife and I discovered PCK a couple of years ago after having a large HVAC company come out to inspect our AC system, which was freezing up. The large company told us that our AC was shot, could not be fixed, and tried to sell us on a $36,000 lease for a new unit. We sought a second opinion from PCK and Mirko came out to look at our system. He took a look and let us know that, while our AC was old, he should be able to get it working again by adding some Freon. A few hundred bucks later and our AC system was cooling the house again! Wednesday morning I had water all over the kitchen counters. At first I thought it was a leak coming from the upstairs bathroom so I reached out to a plumber to take a look at it. Plumber couldn't come out until Thursday afternoon. He confirmed that it was not a leak from the bathroom. Upon opening ceiling we found Hvac and he concluded it was coming from the air conditioning unit. I found Mirko on Yelp. Mirko is by far the most reliable, honest, and knowledgable HVAC contractor we have ever used (and we've used a LOT!). Specifically, Mirko helped to troubleshoot a persistent furnace issue we had at our rental home (when the heat keeps going out in the dead of winter, that's a biiiiiig problem!). After several other HVAC techs had us replace various parts in our fairly new (only 1 year old) gas furnace, Mirko was able to diagnose that the issue was from our gas supply, not the machinery. I won't go down the rabbit hole of what transpired afterwards, but he saved us a lot of money in unnecessary "fixes" while correctly finding that the issue was with our gas company supplier. He was on call several times afterwards to answer other questions and concerns and was always incredibly responsive. We hired Mirko to replace our very old gas boiler and water heater and we couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. When our A/C unit went out on a 100+ degree day, I contacted Mirko from Pck HVAC. The first company I called said they were unable to repair my unit since it required a special level of training that they did not have. Mirko from Pck is a Master mechanic and has the certifications for advanced systems. When he came out, he noticed problems with the original installation, which caused the unit to fail. He ordered me a new compressor unit that was designed for our existing HVAC system and installed it. He then registered our unit for us with the manufacturer and sent us an email confirmation. His quoted price is what we paid, even though he spent a little more time fixing issues from the original installation. In summary, his price was good, he was thorough, and he was fast in his response time. He owns the company and takes a great deal of pride in his work. He truly loves his work and it shows. I echo all the other positive reviews. Mirko is one of the most upstanding people, let alone tradesmen, I've ever met. I found out about him when we wanted to install a Nest thermostat. Since then we have signed up for bi-annual HVAC inspections, and just this past week had him install a new A/C, wanting to move away from our old, but still functional, Freon unit. I love PCK HVAC. Recommended to us by our real-estate agent (who's dealt with all manner of house issues and repair companies) we've been relying on PCK HVAC to help us with our 12 year old auxiliary heat pump since 2019. PCK HVAC came out to trouble shoot our AC/Heating system and determined the fan motor on the outside unit needed replacing. Cost effective fix, and it continued to work. Over the years the same unit would have other problems related to the refrigerant but PCK HVAC would consult with us and help us troubleshoot it over the phone. Finally it came to replace the unit, and PCK HVAC informed us of pandemic scarcity and price increases but worked with us to lock in a competitive price. Replacement of the unit was quick, all permits handled, new system looks and sounds great, and has a great warranty. He fixed things I wasn't aware were broken as well, like a cracked drain pan under the inside unit, a condensation drain line that wasn't up to code, and all as a part of the existing replacement contract. Mikro at PCK HVAC, LLC did GREAT GREAT GREATwork at my condo. I really think he is a honest, and detailed professional. Truly a blessing to find. I had an old terminal heating unit at my condo, that was not sealed off properly to the elements and basement. As a result, TONS of spiders had gotten in the unit, and started getting all over my home. After searching where they were coming from I found the source- my heading unit! I had taped off the whole unit with garbage bags until Mirko could inspect and give me an estimate. Even when he came for the estimate, he was careful not to remove all the tape I had put up as a temp. solution for the spider problem. He had to get to the unit to see the power source and unit ID number but he was great about being careful. I was out of town when he came to do the work, but was finished way before I expected and sent me very detailed information with photos on the status of the job. It was great. He really did a very detailed job to make sure the old frame was cleaned, sealed off PROPERLY THIS TIME and the unit was caulked off totally. Mirko is not going to waste your time or money. He knows HVAC inside and out and works to find solutions that are in your best interest. As an example, Mirko discovered that in our newly purchased home we have two air-handling units (one of which is handmade) running off a single condenser unit, something our inspector didn't catch. While an odd configuration and not ideal, the units were appropriately cooling their designated areas. Mirko suggested we monitor the cooling effects, noting any changes or issues, and he would do the same during his maintenance checks. Together we would decide what, if any, course of action to take. These units continues to operate just fine but when a third unit started to leak, we called Mirko.
