Kuldeep and his team are outstanding! The food is AUTHENTIC INDIAN/PUNJABI FOOD. which is hard to find in this area especially coming from a Punjabi person! From the apps to the entrees and even the home-made desserts, everything is absolutely delicious here! I got married last month and needed a few of my pre-wedding events catered and Kuldeep very happily agreed to cater our events. Our guests were so happy with the exceptional service and the amazing food! The food was hot and fresh, despite it being served outside during a cold October. I highly recommend the papdi chaat for apps along with fresh paneer (cheese) pakoras! For entrees, the butter chicken and palak paneer are delightful! Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken with a side of garlic naan for delivery. The food is delicious but for both priced at $15.99 each, they both came in small round containers and only had 7-8 cubes of chicken each. For reference, the containers are smaller than your usual Chinese dinner-sized dishes. We felt cheated with our order and I think anyone would be too. I'm on the fence to order from here again given that is our only option right now. Very disappointed on their takeout food portion. 2 stars because the food is really good but definitely a lot of room for improvement on their expensive but tiny dish portions. read more

My family and I love the food here. We mostly do take-out but, on even the phone or when picking up food, Singh is a wonderful host! Over the past few months we have gotten take out here about six times. Literally every meal that we have had has been outstanding. His Chicken Korma, and Vindaloo sauces are superb. Five stars to this restuarant. After our weekly trip to Rajdhani temple here for some solace. We were hungry and searching for a good place to fill our hungry tummy. Upon entering the restuarant manager was ready with cold water bottles. The staff is friendly and hosts are very welcoming. This is not a fancy restaurant atmosphere but the food was delightful. Also the prices were very reasonable. We had 2 different curries and 3 types of bread. Everything was excellent. Highly recommended. Service was also top notch. You have to look for this restaurant as it's on the backside of a building but more than worth the effort to find it. I recently moved to Stone Ridge from the Fairfax area. I'm a great admirer of Indian food. Today I thought I'd try a local place and chose Mehak Indian Restaurant. I guess it's fair to say that I was somewhat put off by what simple surroundings I found myself in. However, the wonderful odors wafting through the small premises more than made up for a lack of ornateness. The buffet was adequate without being extravagant, the food was very tasty, and the cost was very reasonable. The owner told me that the weekend offerings are somewhat more extensive, at a cost of only one dollar more for the pleasure. I thought it was a nice touch to have complimentary bottled water rather than tap water available. I haven't had a chance to try many local Indian restaurants, but thus far Mehat is at the top of my list. Highly recommended! read more

We've been to this place once or twice, and also took out another couple of times. While the food is nothing to rave about, it is also not bad. The only reason we went back today is because the food is ok/good. The two stars is specifically for the customer service we received today. There were two young ladies managing the floor this afternoon (10/16/2021). One of them was courteous & apologized for the inordinate delay, although pointing out that they have more busy today because of Dassera catering orders. The other young lady was argumentative, and just didn't think there was anything wrong. We were dining in, and had to wait for upwards of 30 mins to get one of the three entrées we ordered, along with a couple of rotis & rice. The other two entrées took an additional 15 mins, by which time the rotis were not only cold, but also hardened up. After the first 20 mins, we requested for one of the entrées to be brought out quicker so our 5-yr old can eat. The young lady noted that all of the order will come out together & in no time. Not only that didn't happen, but the order was staggered with much delay. When I informed the lady that service today has been poor, and there were many takeout orders that were going out before the diners are being served, the lady became defensive & argumentative. One of the takeout customers even screamed & stormed out. She was just trying to pass the buck by stating that the chefs were delaying or I should report this to the owner. She didn't think there was anything wrong for customers to wait 45+ mins to get their order. Not once during the 45+ mins did she come to apologize for the delay, or was there any remorse after we reported our displeasure. There are Indian restaurants with better service outside of the 3-mile radius that are worth the drive. And the food here is ok, not outstanding, so you ain't missing much if you make the drive to Chantilly/Ashburn/Fairfax/Herndon. read more
