Food was good. Service was terrible. The place was mostly empty. When we were seated it took a long time for anyone to show up. When they finally did we ordered everything instead of just drinks. It took about an hour to get our food because the guys in the kitchen were too busy looking at their cell phones to work. SO GOOD! We went on a Monday night and we had the whole place to ourselves! They have so many different options of pizzas, wings, salads, burgers, calzones, drinks, and the art on the walls and all over the place added to the experience! Very cool atmosphere! I loved seeing that they had vegan and gluten-free options too. It was so hard to choose which pie to get, but we landed on the Holy Shiitaki and to be honest, I am still dreaming about it and want another bite. Our server, who was also the bartender, was great! Oh Mellow Mushroom you dropped the ball yesterday! Huge pre concert crowd that could have been a revenue bonanza. Instead an overwhelmed staff, poor things. 2 servers, 1 host and bartender. Unbussed tables everywhere ( host was trying hard to bus) We were seated at a table by the host that was without a server. We eventually went to the bar for our drinks ( $20 for a regular margarita on the rocks, really?) And ordered our food from the to go counter. As a previous restaurant manager I had every sympathy for the staff . I noticed a large puddle of ice and water in the middle of the aisle and told 3 staff members that I was concerned that some one would slip not one would wipe it up. To his credit, there WAS a young man who was doing take out orders who was exceptional. He was trying VERY hard and even brought our take out food to our table. By the time we left a few more staff members had arrived so hopefully they caught up. read more

By far one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. My husband and I met up for our lunch breaks during the workday. We sat down at 11:29 AM. Our server greeted us, brought us drinks, and took our order within 5 min. After about 30 minutes of waiting for our food, the waitress brought us the wrong order (which she later explained she had no idea where that order went). She said that she was the only waitress working all the tables (there were a total of five tables in the restaurant, most were two tops) and that she got in late today so she was frazzled. She then took our order again and said that she would have them "make ours on the fly" and bring it out in six or seven minutes. Another 25 minutes passed before my pizza came out. I wanted to wait for my husband's pizza before I started eating, but at this point, our lunch breaks were ending and we didn't have time. By 12:39 PM, my husband asked that his pizza be brought out in a to go box and for the check. When she came over with his pizza in the to-go box a few minutes later, the toppings were wrong on the pizza. At this point, neither of us had any more time and did not trust that our order would be corrected in any kind of a timely manner, so he took the pizza as it was. We were there for a total of an hour 10 minutes, I spent 10 minutes eating my pizza and my husband didn't get to eat his. We both ran over on our lunch breaks, and the waitress did not comp anything or take care of us in any special way given that all this happened. read more

Came here for the first time a couple months ago, the pizza was okay but the bloody Mary's were weak, so we asked for a double and they were exactly the same but they were just 10 buck with a double shot so we shrugged it off. Went back today, not only were the pretzel bites horribly burned but they charged us 14 per mixed drink and guess what? STILL WATERED AND WEAK. Critiques aside the service was great both times. This tasted more like a fried donut - the crust super thick and not crispy at all, almost inedible in terms of how greasy it was. And I am pretty sure parts of the crust were basically raw. This was the worst service ive ever had at a restaurant. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to even come to our table. He forgot basic things such as straws and utensils after being asked multiple times. We had to go up to the host stand to ask for things multiple times and he still didn't get the hint to give our table more attention. This was not the only thing bad, as it took an hour to even get our checks situated. I think he had zero brain cells and it honestly was sad watching him trying to figure it out. Not only did it take this long to get our checks, he tried four separate times and couldn't figure out what items were on each tab. It still wasn't right when we ended up paying. This place was actually the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to come take our drink order. He didn't bring out utensils or straws. We had to go up to the counter and ask for them. He then proceeded to take at least 45 minutes to bring us our checks which were so messed up. And then another 20 minutes to figure out how to charge each card. I felt bad watching. Never going back as this has now happened multiple times with the waiters. We were there for over 2 hours I actually don't think I've spent that much time at any restaurant I've been to. read more

We went as a party of 4 adults and 2 children. We walked there from the Aquarium. Our waitress was exceptional. Her attentiveness and professionalism were refreshing and she was great with the kids. The pizza was made with the freshest ingredients as were the salad and the appetizers. We are transplants from upper NY state and used to NY style pizzas but this was by far superior to what we are used to. Thin crispy crust and the slices were huge. Also, the crust held up when picking up slice and it did not flop at the end. Great atmosphere with funky decor. Can't wait to go back. It is an hour and a half drive but well worth it!! Also the 7 yr old in our group left behind her pocketbook. This is a great place for a mixed group of diners. Beyond simply pizza, there are sandwiches, soups, salads and apps to appeal to vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, and meat eaters. They have a nice drinks menu and a full bar. There are lunch specials on offer. I went here for lunch with a mixed group of colleagues. Several of us have specific diets. I wish I could give zero stars. It takes A LOT for me to complain but this place was awful. I've been to other locations that were great but this place was so dirty and the service was non-existent. We sat on the patio and about a half an hour after ordering our drinks and food, we still didn't have any drinks. I went inside to ask the server if they were coming and she said yes. The bartender has been really busy. There were maybe 4 tables in the whole restaurant. When she finally brought the drinks she asked if we wanted to order food. She had already taken our order. We then ordered another round of drinks and were served warm white wine. Another hour went by and we still didn't have our appetizer. Another server came out and said he just put it in for us. That finally came out. Another half an hour went by and still no pizzas and no server to be found. After two and a half hours we left money on the table for our drinks and left. The place definitely needs a manager on site. It was obvious on this night it was being run by just high school/college kids. Which is fine if they know what they're doing but unfortunately they did not. read more

The calzone was delicious and the salad, despite ordering a small, was abundant and tasty and they adjusted to my requests perfectly. The only thing I would say is the wings tasted less like the sauce they were tossed in (mild) & more like bacon which was odd. Also, This is not a direct comment towards this business, merely an observation of delivery in general. Usually, when ordering delivery utensils are provided, however, we did not get any. Maybe they don't usually provide it, but since we're traveling it would have been nice to have some utensils provided with our meal. read more

Just moving here from Texas, I noticed the unique mellow mushroom sign and decided to give it a try. My son and I were hungry and eager to try a great pizza. The atmosphere is great, the art and decorations unlike anything we had seen around here... Trippy ;) Unfortunately I do not have a photo of our pizza, as it was delivered to our table we noticed that there was and abundant amount of chicken. Both my son and I are vegetarian. We immediately complain to our waiter and he said he would take care of it. 15 minutes later The same exact pizza is delivered to our table where it was evident the chicken was just picked off, unfortunately there were many small pieces of chicken still left on the pizza. I was very disappointed that they did not make a fresh. So sadly we returned the chicken adorn pizza and walk down The street and had a meat free pizza at Stefanos.
