We stopped in for weeknight dinner here. We were quick to be seated and the restaurant wasn't very crowded for dinner time and the restaurant was clean. Our server seemed a little put out for having to serve us in their demeanor and the way they took our order, but was attentive to our table. Started with honey sriracha wings and bruschetta. Personally the wing could have been much spicier. It seemed more "honey" wing than honey sriracha. Bruschetta was classic bruschetta. Great flavor with lots of toppings. For pizzas we love being able to get 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas for my partner and I can both get our faves. The Holy Shiitake pie is a must for any mushroom lover. Lots of garlic and great flavor with a crunchy, bready crust. We tried the Mel Corleone pizza as well, which is a local feature and greatly enjoyed it. Lots of meat with ricotta cheese, which made each bite delicious! Plenty of leftover pizza for another meal!

Easy to order online Easy to pick up (Call when arriving and they bring to your car) Yummy too! Two small ways it could have been better: More topping options on make your own vegan pizza. We added our own faux meat when we got our pie home. We ordered thin crust. I am pretty certain we got 'regular'

Had lunch here with a group of friends. They have a small selection of lunch specials. Either 1 or 2 slices of pizza or sandwich. I got the 2 slices of pizza (one to take home for my spouse). Also got a small salad on the side. Everything was delicious. My pizza had pineapple and bacon. It was an extra charge for 2 ingredients but worth it. Slices are large size. Our service was good too.

We love it here for pizza and drinks. Service can be slow so keep on your wait staff to keep moving. Always busy. They do have a wait list. Get on that, you'll get ahead. They used to have an amazing happy hour. I was disappointed to be told by our guy they no longer had it yet when I googled it, it says still there. So heads up - if its truly gone they need to bring it back!

[June 2025] I came here with a friend and ordered the lil' Enlightened Spinach Salad to start and for my entree the Merry Prankster. I love anything aioli and it had just the right amount. I think the pizza would have been even more elevated if it were ground chicken/chicken sausage crumbles. My friend ordered the Maui Wowie and some beers. I tried a slice of his and enjoyed the spicy sweet combo. I was not impressed by their cocktail selection but it is a pizza joint after all!

This place truly has the best pizza in town, especially the Holy Shiitake pop it's unbelievably good. I know I shouldn't be eating dairy, but this pizza is so delicious that it's impossible to resist. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, whether I'm picking up or dining in. I usually get my order to go, but even when I have to wait, they remain warm and welcoming. The atmosphere adds to the charm. The outdoor seating area looks inviting and is great for families, while the inside is full of fun and creative décor that makes you want to take it all in. It's one of those places that surprises you in the best way because it feels like a hidden gem you stumble upon by chance. I discovered it one day just passing by, and I've been back more times than I can count since then.

Came back to meet a friend and had the hummus appetizer. Hummus was good, but they added basil and balsamic vinegar, which I've never had on hummus. Olive oil would have been more appropriate. The carrot sticks and celery also looked kind of funky, probably because not many people order this. But it was ok, came out quickly and was only $4!

Food, drinks, vibe were all 10/10. Hands down my favorite place to visit in the area. The live music was amazing and the prices are very fair. Best pretzels and beer cheese to ever exist and I am willing to die on that hill.

I ordered curbside pickup over an hour from the time I wanted to pick it up and they left me hanging. I arrived 15 minutes early texted the number they provided with my name and phone number and waited for an hour after I received a message back saying they were checking on my order, I finally got irritated enough that I went in were the hostess listened to but said I had to go to to the Togo sign by the kitchen were a frazzled guy said to me didn't you get the text that "Sorry for the extensive wait. Your order will be out soon!" I replied to him yes over a half hour ago. He said ok let check on it didn't know, said it was about to go out when the food runner came back in with it I took the food and returned to my car. All of my food was cold. At this point I just want to go home. I was livid after waiting so long and getting cold food, when I opened my boxes found that not only was it cold it was also burnt, I wanted to heat it up but didn't want it to burn more. So we called them spoke to the manager who then refunded my whole order, i was thankful, but it did not make me feel better about my experience with them or help me enjoy my cold food. I don't recommend this very loud restaurant, the only way to make sure your food is hot is to eat there, just make sure you have a couple of hours to wait. The food itself is subpar.

Did the gluten free dough change? We had family in from out of town that loved the gluten free dough last time they were here, which was why we chose mellow mushroom. Our pizzas were great, but the gluten free dough was lacking this time.

    The pizza is trash anyways

    Is the patio dog-friendly?

I am sorry but we do not allow dogs on the patio at this time. Again I am sorry and I hope to see you soon at Mellow.

There's a charming patio out front, if you want it. You can settle in for a long dinner, post up at the bar for the night, or grab a quick bite before heading out on the town. Bartenders are warm and approachable, and the in-house mixology is confident without any "we spent 30 hours perfecting this" pretense. The whole experience is like Sam Malone the bartender (save the drama) at Cheers: friendly, self-assured, the kind of place that makes you feel like you could spend all night there without anyone rushing you. We had a Paper Plane and an Old Fashioned -- the latter served over a custom ice cube stamped with a double ax (a nod to the wood fire). The cocktail list leans classic and reliable: if you know you like gin or vodka, you'll find something easy here. The espresso martini is the standout, it works as a dessert drink or any other time of the meal. We started with the Smorgasbord instead of our usual garlic knots (which are their own delicacy), and it didn't disappoint: toasted brioche with mascarpone and strawberry jam, several cured meats (capicola, prosciutto, pepperoni), parmesan, gouda, dried cherries, and chutney. My one nitpick; the pepperoni and gouda were tiny cubes, which makes them tough to grab cleanly compared to the sliced parmesan or rolled prosciutto. In this situation give the man a toothpick. The tallow-fried wings are, in my opinion, the best in St. Louis. The beef-tallow-and-potato-starch breading produces a tempura-like texture and crunch that keeps them light. Adventurous-but-classic sauces, bourbon butter BBQ, buffalo, and pineapple honey habanero (legitimately spicy; bring backup). The wings stand on their own without sauce. For pizza, we got the Napoli (tomato, fresh and smoked mozzarella, arugula, parmesan, black pepper, olive oil) -- her standing favorite. Expect proper Neapolitan: soft center, thin crust, charred crisp edge. Don't lift and bite fold it. (She insists: no fork. I use a fork - I know how dare I!) The pizza menu reads creative but never gimmicky; meat-lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-conscious diners all have real options. Before Kyle took over, Pizzeoli was known as a vegan-forward spot, and that flexibility lives on. We closed with the seasonal ice cream sandwich, fresh-pressed pizzelle wafers, crème brûlée ice cream, and a torched marshmallow cap. Excellent. A couple of practical notes: they're dinner-only (4-9:30) and the new reservation phone line is a robo call. Easier to use the online waitlist or book online directly. Pizzeoli is dressed-down-or-dressed-up friendly, kid-welcoming, and somehow works equally well for a pre-game stop or your dinner of the week. I've never had a bad dish here, and there are several I come back for specifically -- Lesley for the Napoli, me for the wings. 4.9 stars out of 5. If that toothpick shows up, a perfect 5. ;) Worth the trip across town, an hour drive for a long dinner, if it were open for lunch, the suggestion for two trips in one day would be welcomed or two-days in a row.

Not a ton of places still have this. I also liked that the olive oil was seasoned which gave it a nice kick. For entrees we ordered two lasagnas, salmon pasta and a frisco burger. All were good but the lasagna was the standout. A little spicy and very filling. The salmon could have used a little extra salt but I loved the grilled flavor. Since it was my birthday they gave me a complimentary mini cannoli. It was so cute and very tasty! If I wasn't so full I would have loved a full sized one. The cheese was super gooey, the crust was nice and crispy, and the olive oil base gave it a nice and rich feel. Good pizza! Everyone else was happy with their slices too. I will say the toppings are generally covered by cheese and so if you don't know what was ordered you might wind up with a bite of something you don't like (as was the case for my heat-averse aunt who got a big mouthful of jalapeño on one of her slices).
