My neighbor used a home depot contractor a month ago. So we went to home depot and have them come give us an estimate. He quoted me 5 to 8000$ and said he will send an estimate via email.After two weeks of waits and calls I still didn't have a writing estimate so I look for someone else. Our Midea split system (1 compressor; 2 indoor evaporators) came w/ our condo unit and wasn't deep cleaned for 5 years. The a/c is used almost everyday not only to cool the rooms, but to also keep the humidity down. Needless to say when you mix in the daily cooking you can imagine the dank smells every time we turned the a/c on. Melvin to the rescue. Called him on Friday and he squeezed us in Saturday morning. No notification to the building management required, parked his van in the guest parking, rolled in his equipment, and was done in 2 hours. He & his asst took care to keep things clean, was masked the entire time, wasted no time on setting up and taking the unit apart to get to the coils & cross flow fan where the unspeakable crud came flowing out! As an earlier review pointed out, Melvin is the owner & he is working on a/c. That is why he can offer his services at the rates he charges.
