One of our indoor units started leaking so I contacted Melvin A/C to check it out and decided to go ahead and service all of our units (5 indoor units and 2 outdoor condenser units). After my great review, a couple of days later, my A/Cs started to blow warm air. Soon, all three that are connected to the same outside unit were blowing warm air. I contacted Melvin, who this time took a while to respond. Finally, he said his "partner" would stop by. Turns out his "partner" is his former boss, who checked and immediately said that there's a leak, so all of the Freon that Melvin added (and charged me for) was completely gone. I contacted Melvin, who insists that right after he added the Freon, he checked the temperature and it was in the 40-degrees, so he did his job. OF COURSE it's going to be great 10 minutes after he added the Freon and before it all leaks out. I now understand that he should have checked for, or at least considered leaks first, and he obviously did not do this. I'm now out about $220 and 1.5 weeks of wasted time and no air conditioning. Melvin and his electrician, Arnel were great. Melvin is very responsive to call and texts and answered any questions we had. He, Arnel and their team put in a 2 zone AC system for 2 bedrooms at a great price. Arnel had to replace the subpanel which added a few hundred dollars to the initial quote but hey, that is what may happen with construction. Added cost but do the job right. Now we have a much bigger subpanel that we an add more in the future. Very professional, clean install and cleaned everything when they were done. Oh and I guess the most important thing, the Daikin 2 zone AC system cranks! I may take things out of the fridge and put them in the boys bedrooms. read more

The scope was to install a brand new split in my bedroom and relocate the window unit to another room (one for one swap). Quote B came out 1K more. I must've read 30 different reviews and called a few companies before deciding on Melvin. I'm so glad I did. He was very quick to respond and he set up an appointment for a couple of days later. My three split ac's needed much needed cleaning after three years of operation. Melvin was very knowledgeable and polite, and he provided a lot of good information about my units as we talked while he conducted a deep cleaning on them. After he and his assistant cleaned the inside units, they checked and cleaned the condensers outside. One of my units sits near a dryer vent so it REALLY needed a good cleaning!
