Memo's is mid size restaurant open daily 7am to 2 pm. We arrived at 11:30 for an early lunch. We had heard about the restaurant from a neighbor who has been a customer for quite some time. This a cash only business, there is an ATM inside if needed. We were greeted by a cordial staff member who told us about self seating at several counters around the facility or a waiting for a table or booth. We opted to take a high seat table that just opened up . Our staffer asked us what type of drink we wanted for as she gave us our menus, which included a children's menu and consisted of several pages . Along with a daily special list , a mimosa menu. Memo's serves breakfast all day along with choices of fish and whole fried clams. Which while we discussing menu choices with our friendly waitress the busy chef yelled out to his staff we are out of whole belly clams . I opted for the buffalo chicken wrap for $9.99 was served with warm coated chicken, blue cheese crumbled and lettuce and a serving of fries. My wife opted for the Gorgonzola salad for $11.99 which had blue berries, cranberries , cheese and lettuce. Our wait was about twenty minutes for our lunch in this busy place as the chef called out the waitresses by name for their meal pickups every few minutes. Our meals were both filling, tasty and satisfying. Meals are served on typical restaurant plates and flatware. There is free street parking as well as the restaurant's own lot which was almost full when we arrived. Memo's does offer a catering service as well check their website . Memo's , Memorial Avenue , West Springfield Mass . Across the street from the Big E Fairgrounds. We shall return for an earlier breakfast visit. Great diner for breakfast - haven't tried anything else. Has all of the classics (and has a choice of hash browns vs home fries) plus fun things like an Oreo pancake. And of course bottomless coffee. read more

This is an old school comfort food breakfast restaurant. It is excellent. I loved my corn beef hash. The waitresses keep your coffee cups full at all times. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Went to the Big E on 10/3/21... needed someplace to eat breakfast that could supply Gluten-free food. We found Memo's! We got there 5 min before closing and they told us to go in and served us eith a smile. The food was amazing... best homefries I've had in ages! ALL of our food was great, coffee was fresh, hot and delicious. They even let us park in there lot for the fair. Food was so good we went back the next day when there was no rush. This restaurant is awesome in many ways but definitely not in the area of the very limited parking. The parking struggle is worth the great food, awesome staff and upbeat ambiance. Had breakfast here with friends last Saturday morning. Though the line was out the door, it moved quickly. I ordered an egg white meat lovers omelette and tasted some of my wife's home fries. Everything was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. We loved how there was a genuine "team service" - when we needed something, another server was more than happy to get it for us, quickly and without any grumbling that she wasn't our server. Just returned from enjoying a delightful brunch at Memo's with 2 friends. Thanks to my friend Heidi who comes here regularly, I now have a new place that I can count on for a great meal. The restaurant is so much bigger than it appears on the outside. Plenty of comfy seats in 3 rooms. Our server, Alysha, was extremely attentive and friendly. She checked on us frequently without being annoying and made sure we had enough to drink. Heidi suggested Apple Cider Mimosas which I had never heard of-OMG-so delicious! Two of us had Benedict's-Hash for me & Sausage for Di. Both very good. The side of Homefries was yummy, we asked for them to be well done (deep fried). Heidi had a Kielbasa & (provolone) Cheese Omelette with a side of bacon & a grilled English Muffin. She enjoyed it. The portions are large and the food came out hot. I don't know why people make a big deal about cash only-this place is so affordable. Stick $20 in your pocket and quit complaining. Of course, i plan on returning soon. read more

I can't recommend Memo's enough! The food is delicious and amazingly fresh--hello, actual corned beef in my corned beef hash!--and the service is above and beyond. I let Patty know we were celebrating my sister's milestone birthday and she insisted she make our mimosas so they'd be extra special; my sister's came with sugar and sprinkles on the rim! Alayna, our server, was extremely warm and attentive and surprised us all when, after we finished our meal, she approached the table with Patty and one other coworker to sing "Happy Birthday" and give the birthday girl a blueberry muffin with a candle on top. These women went out of their way to ensure we had a fun and delicious breakfast experience and, boy, they sure did succeed! read more

Its 2018. No Credit Cards is a garbage policy. Increase your prices a bit to make up for it. Food was ok but nowhere near good enough to make up for lack of cards. But they did have an ATM on the premises that took an extra $2.59 (plus whatever my bank might charge). Apologies to the waitress who would have gotten a much bigger tip. A catering "business" that cant take credit cards? Garbage. With all the options around, an unfriendly credit card policy says no thank you to new customers. read more

Many likes, one mild complaint. LIKES: 1. LOTS of bacon, lots of toast, home fries without a lot of grease, eggs poached perfectly. It's not easy to poach an egg and not break it! 2. No TVs, Keno screens, or canned pop music messing with my breakfast. 3. Lots of room, I didn't have to listen to your private conversation. 4. Bright, cool, well lit. Rest room facilities top notch. 5. Fast, friendly service. My coffee was refreshed three times, free. One mild complaint: you might not mind the short order cook shouting out each order as he put it on the counter for the waitress to serve. This is a very homey, family style breakfast/brunch joint. It was very busy & loud, however the service was fast. The eggs Benedict wasn't the best, the english muffin was soggy once it arrived at my table. The home fries were also not too flavorful, and lacking a nice crunch to them. If you come to West Springfield on Memorial Ave. & need a bite for breakfast/lunch this is the ideal spot to hit. Portions are great 7 coffee is ready when you hit the booth/table. Staff is quite friendly & if you come a few times they know you a bit so you could say this is a morning "Cheers" without the liquor. They do have specials in case you want something a little different so that's no issues & the lunches are pretty good as well. if you need a event done don't worry because they got that on lock. Loved this place! As soon as we walked in the door on a Saturday morning and saw how busy it was, I knew it was a good sign. Originally, the hostess told us it would be 10-15 minutes for a table or we could sit at the bar if and when seats opened up....so we waited...and waited...but her estimate was way off so we finally just sat ourselves at the bar when it opened up and I'm glad we did. Our waitress was old school, super helpful and kept the coffee refills coming. Matthew had the banana caramel french toast special with a side of scrambled eggs, which was awesome and I had the Memo's special, with eggs (scrambled, done perfectly), bacon, sausage and French toast. I asked to sub in the cinnamon rolls french toast and for an upcharge, she made that happen and WOW am I glad she did! Easily one of the most amazing breakfast items I've ever had. I LOVE MEMOS. It has so many options for breakfast and lunch for amazing prices. Every time my friends ask to go get breakfast this is the place I return to. The customer service is fantastic - the waiters are genuine and caring. The restaurant is large and seats many. Perfect for groups and families. The food is simple but delicious and comforting. First time coming here and unfortunately will likely will be the last. I had the French toast, which was essentially just three slices of soggy flat white bread with hardly any taste. I am not a great cook but feel even I could have done better. The home fries were better, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The cash only policy is ridiculous and outdated. Even at 10:30 on a Saturday morning, this place was PACKED! You know its gonna be a good place when the reviews are stellar and the parking lot is full. Either their service is slow, or the food is definitely what everyone is saying. For a group of 8,the wait was about 15 minutes. During that time we learned this place accepts cash only and serves breakfast all day. We got to our table, and started with coffee. The server was quick to come back with drinks. After everyone placed an order, I started the stopwatch to see how long it would take. 14:22 is all it took for a table of eight to get breakfast. What a great place! I went for breakfast with the family on a Sunday morning and while it was super busy, the place is very big and we didn't have to wait too long. They have so many tasty options and their home fries are the best I've ever had. The whole family loved their breakfast but it was even better for me because they have extensive gluten free options. They also have a separate grill for gluten free so they avoid cross contamination. The customer service was great. My pancake was undercooked in the middle but it was no big deal to me since I wasn't going to eat the whole thing anyway. I didn't even mention it to the waitress. After taking our plates away, she came back with the check and said she noticed my pancake was under cooked so she let the kitchen know and took it off my bill! Very nice and unnecessary. My good friend, Bubbles, and I meet every week or two...trying a new breakfast spot. We found this because our original destination was inexplicably closed, and we needed a Plan B. Very nondescript on the outside; in fact, we drove past it. Once we found it, we were amazed at how spacious the inside was. We were sat promptly, and our server came over right after she finished clearing the table next to us. We each ordered off the specials menu, and were very happy! I ordered banana nut pancakes with some special topping [which I forget] and it was to die for! The server said that was selling like crazy all morning, and I can understand why! Her meal, according to her, was delicious as well. She ordered some special omelet [I think]...but, what I do remember is the corned beef hash. I remember because this is how I judge her satisfaction. On her behalf, I half had to send back soooo much corned beef hash at other restaurants, that I was beyond delighted when she said, "wow, I like this!" the first time!!! No complaints.
